Also the instructions in the manual for removing and attaching the blade is inconsistent. They say to remove and install the blade to turn the nut counter clockwise????
it's a power head model so you can add pretty much any attachment. I don't see the string trimmer attachment on their website sold separately right now, so it could be they expect you to get it as a part of the base kit, then add other attachments. which is what most people would probably end up doing.
DeWalt said they don't have a part number for the edger blade. The blade on the edger does have a part number but you can not find a blade on the internet with that part number. I also got the unknown wire with my unit. Any help with the blade? Part number and where to purchase it. It's a shame that a company is so negligent. Information please.
Does anyone know what the angled wire that came in the box is for, it doesn't seem to fit anywhere nor is it ilustrated any were in the box or literature. Not talking about the allen key, the wire is slightly thicker than the allen key and about 10-11 inches long.
Might be for changing out the blade. Should be a hole somewhere bet it will fit in it to act as a blade stop so you unthread the bolt and change out the blade
I watched every video of this device to know what type of shaft is has. You're the only one who gives me the answer.
I wondered the same before buying this.
Answered a lot of questions. Thank you
Thank you! Great information, used my new one this morning. Is a keeper for me. Information very helpful for this woman 😊
Nice review. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Just bought one. Now waiting for spring to finally hit NW MN. Thanks for the great instrumental video.
I bought one last year. It works great.
Bought one on your review. Received it yesterday and used it today. Love this! It's a beast for sure.
Hi there, That's great and you are lucky to be in US because unfortunately it is not available in Australia! Such a shame! I really need to get it.
Great review, thanks.

Is their a string trimmer attachment for this? It's weird they have an edger attachment for the attachment capable string trimmer but not vice versa.

Its for locking the spindle to change the blade.
I just purchased one of these edgers. Included in the box was a bent metal rod/ wire. What is this for?
Exactly, sorry I didn't see your comment before, any answer yet?
@@manuelsandino9248 No answer yet. Even DeWalt CS can't help.
I came here wondering the same thing! Someone spent time figuring out those bends. It has to be for something. This is going to keep me up at night.
