Honestly, practically every TFT round, I see a chibi, and that is often a sign someone either invested money, or a really big amount of time in the game. So, it's not really a surprise to me, considering the investment both Riot and many players themselves have put in the game.
I've always been completely indifferent to the cosmetics in TFT, not because they're bad, but because of the gacha system with the eggs. Now however there are battle passes by which I got Caitlyn and Ashe. So the Riots have found a way to get some money out of me. Although I still don't spend a dime buying gacha currency - that's for addicts.....
I buy the pass because I feel it is really worth it and supports a great game that I love. It is... Kinda what most people buy too. It is a seasonal battlepass that gives you things related to the season in 3 different ways (arena, chibis, and kabooms). In comparison League battlepasses suck and don't give much value.
A very easy way imo to really get people to spend money is, you see those little characters called Chibis? They should make an area where all the chibis you bought are in a farm or town like setting and let them idle around and interact with all of them.
So a Chao garden from the sonic adventure games, but with chibis and pets, it would be awesome, but unfortunately, the client is so piss awful that it would be impossible without making a TFT standalone client separated from the lol client
Imagine if you could build a house/manage your farm to give a home and feed all your chibis, and if playing normal tft would give you resources to build... It would make me install the game and buy some chibis for the first time ^^'
that is an insanely good idea but honestly to make it less ptw id rather it be for all of your litte legends. Honestly they could just make it the new way of using those boring star shards rn
Would also be cool if you could build like friendship levels by interacting with them, earning loot and emotes etc. and maybe the final level could be a special banner or finisher
Trying to stop a chembaron lose streak is very common and nothing about it is toxic, it's just a strategy You're not playing league you're on your own against other 7 players and given how OP the shimmer items are you better do that or play the rest of the game racing for the 2nd place.

Theres a weekly event the guild leader holds where 1 member of each race bids on tribute chests, that of which contain a number of boxes that contain mostly in-game items. TFT is great. tft has the benefits of even the people who complain usually dont drop the game while have significant draw potential toward newer players with a moderate/high initial curve but a pretty low learning curve
Golden Spatula is coming to global too btw, but it's still a soft launch in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore at the moment. AND THEY HAVE THE CHIBI ARCANE FRACTURED JINX & CHIBI ISHA UNLIKE TFT!

I honestly wish I had more time to play TFT! It was miles ahead of Hearthstone's BGs (the only other "Autobattler" I could say I enjoyed for more than a few games) and the swiftness of every match was really convenient. I will admit that getting to higher ranks required actual study and lots of playtime to find out how comps matched up, how to swap builds, and what synergized where, but it was still fun. Sadly I had to make time for life and cut it out of my regularly played games, but seeing that they may have a PvE mode would probably bring me back into the game.
As someone who just got to TFT because of Arcane, I'd say the game is really fun. There's barely any toxicity, worst you can do is blame RNG. And unlike League, the learning curve isn't high, you can easily pick up the basic after a couple of game.
Because of Arcane, I actually started playing TFT again (I played TFT way before when I played LoL). And not just that, I also spent a lot of $$$ (around $190) for those Arcane skins T_T but I'm pretty happy about it because i find the skins interesting. I don't like how its gacha though!
I think Legends of Runeterra was and still is at the same level game quality wise as TFT. A lot of people pronounce it dead though because it didn’t see financial success until this year. It’s crazy to think it has finally popped off this year despite having no Golden Spatula equivalent. As this video shows, having a strategy mobile game available in the East is what is the MOST lucrative. Legends of Runeterra is not even available there, so hopefully that can change soon and it can take the biggest card game name one day.
7:56 how did this pass shooting, while literally the bottom of the guy’s show is facing us !!! I don’t accept this behavior from a nearby kid, instead I would correct it immediately.
Regarding PvE modes, I would like to see a survival mode. See how many rounds you can survive. May require some changes to 3star 5costs.. may not really be feasible. But I’d love to see it be explored

Not surprised tbh, know tons of people who play tft that hasn't even touched League once. It's a great casual game esp if you join at the start of a set where no one knows what anything does.
As a person living in Korea, I have to comment that the Google Trends data mentioned is probably widely off. 1) Google isn't the main search engine of Koreans. 2) Search terms should have been in Korean to be actually relevant. In my opinion, the number of active ranked accounts probably show true player base sizes more closely and LoL is much larger in Korea which is roughly close to what I would say I experience around me. Still great video!
Damn , you didnt need to hurt me so bad about the strategy game situation :( I absolutly loved and played all of them - Starcraft, C&C, Civ, Aoe, Company of Heroes, Total War --- I think the issue is that strategy games always have a certain "entrance hurdle" - you can only make good decisions, if you understand the game afterall - so if you only play very casually and dont understand it - its gonna go poorly - which keeps them restricted to "pay to play" - since recruiting players is difficult. I would not really consider tft a strategy game though ? I get it why its referred too as one - but doesnt sit right with me to compare it to any of the previously mentioned titles. PS: Why are people playing anything on a phone is beyond me - if I wanna play I sit down at my Pc XD
Tft is so chill I've never seen someone that trash talk. everyone just playing their own thing. Me and my friend are the only once whose trash talking each other through voice chat.
The best thing about TFT is that I can play on PC and Mobile. Aaaand I can take a rest in between sets and still be enjoy when I came back since no one will flame me in chat when i play really bad.
Tft numbers are mostly hidden because the type of players that play this game never really interact with each other in the community. They are Just playing on their own.
I feel like necrit missed the a major part of the sentence. He said "biggest **PC** strategy game". That is the specific callout and mort has said many times its not compared to mobile stuff so half this video is irrelevant
I think part of the reason TFT is so big is because it is shared with mobile. You can play the game on mobile and all progress is shared between the two. Honestly I think Riot should do the same with Wild Rift, not sharing games between mobile and PC but making the progress and accounts be shared between the two. I think its kinda dumb that they seperated the two, there are so many cool wild rift skins that could be amazing in league pc, Riot can even make a mode where mobile and pc players play together if they want, theres so much stuff you can do if you just combine them and share the progress.
FYI, right now Golden Spatular start working on marketing itself outside of China, at least here in Thailand. Many choose switch to Golden Spatular because it have more cosmetic, independent set revial (with augment), better graphic optimization on mobile, and so on. Also because that golden Spatular is not available on PC, players who also play TFT on PC or still play the league choose to stick with TFT.
Honestly, they should make TFT its own standalone app, independent on the League client. They'd be able to tailor it to mobile gamers a lot more, improving the experience by a mile, kinda like Wild Rift.
With tft I can understand the overrpriced skins because they are more than the little legends they give. What I can’t forgive is putting a better model of the gacha jinx skin than the actual jinx skin
I hate online games coz my connection sucks, but Roit games are something else that i keep playing them with friends from time to time and on daily base. so yes tft, league, valorant are type of games where is fun to play them as game or two as break then continuous your day. But the new set of tft is really fun that i invited 7 people of my friends to play it, and they fall in love with hyper rolls, and tbh we have more fun in tft than League of Valorant at this point.
for a casual who just watched arcane, or just wants something chill in general: autochess is a way easier sell than a moba in the current gamer landscape

Because of Arcane, I actually started playing TFT again (I played TFT way before when I played LoL). And not just that, I also spent a lot of $$$ (around $190) for those Arcane skins T_T but I'm pretty happy about it because i find the skins interesting. I don't like how its gacha though!
Set 15 are definitely the soul fighters
I think Legends of Runeterra was and still is at the same level game quality wise as TFT. A lot of people pronounce it dead though because it didn’t see financial success until this year. It’s crazy to think it has finally popped off this year despite having no Golden Spatula equivalent. As this video shows, having a strategy mobile game available in the East is what is the MOST lucrative. Legends of Runeterra is not even available there, so hopefully that can change soon and it can take the biggest card game name one day.
Huge insane cope
LOR is the only Riot game not released in China, so still have hope for LOR in the future
7:56 how did this pass shooting, while literally the bottom of the guy’s show is facing us !!!
I don’t accept this behavior from a nearby kid, instead I would correct it immediately.
4:00 there is hs battleground, (hs playerbase literally mostly plays auto chess mode)
Regarding PvE modes, I would like to see a survival mode. See how many rounds you can survive. May require some changes to 3star 5costs.. may not really be feasible. But I’d love to see it be explored
Ive been playing on and off since set 3 but this year i played every set ive been really enjoying the direction of the game
I played TFT alot with my friend, I don't have a good Pc right now but we can still play together it's pretty neat.
i love tft i just started playing this set bc of arcane i never liked league but LOVED arcane so much i wanted to play league realized i still hated it and tried tft and i have been no lifeing it for weeks in my first set im gold 1 hopefully platinum 5 tomorrow witch is the fastest iv ever picked up a game iv always loved card games and chess but other than pokemon this is the first strategy game iv played and idk i genuinely haven’t had this much fun playing a game in years and i really thought of it as extremely niche so to hear that its actually not it really nice to hear
I like playing tft. But my old phone can barely run it somehow so i can only really play it on pc
So glad they made TFT compatible with iPad. It’s how I play 90% of the time on the couch. So glad they made this change and made a good port.
kingdom are are GOAT series the steam releases are amazing
Riot used to report annual numbers for league in the early seasons. But that stopped soon.
Felt hardstuck between League and Valorant at one point.. Then remembered that we have TFT! It's a great game!
my absolute favorite was the random champ trait from the set 11(i think)
Exalted.
I wish Riot would make their own "Direct Strike" mode from SC2 customs.
Damn , you didnt need to hurt me so bad about the strategy game situation :(
I absolutly loved and played all of them - Starcraft, C&C, Civ, Aoe, Company of Heroes, Total War ---
I think the issue is that strategy games always have a certain "entrance hurdle" - you can only make good decisions, if you understand the game afterall - so if you only play very casually and dont understand it - its gonna go poorly - which keeps them restricted to "pay to play" - since recruiting players is difficult.
Me and my friend are the only once whose trash talking each other through voice chat.
with riot actively trying to kill my main (yuumi), I moved to tft about a year ago and not looked back since
Let's say I see the latest TFT chibi at least every other TFT game and sometimes I rarely see any new league skins on the rift.
I *LOVE* Runeterra sets!
tft is so big it has its own chinesse version, OF COURSE its huge
Wish they add a trade/ barter mechanic between players
16:43 oh my baby legends of runeterra oh my dear summer child
The best thing about TFT is that I can play on PC and Mobile. Aaaand I can take a rest in between sets and still be enjoy when I came back since no one will flame me in chat when i play really bad.
Tft numbers are mostly hidden because the type of players that play this game never really interact with each other in the community. They are
Just playing on their own.
I feel like necrit missed the a major part of the sentence. He said "biggest **PC** strategy game". That is the specific callout and mort has said many times its not compared to mobile stuff so half this video is irrelevant
So...... does that mean we're getting chibi Isha?
She's in Golden Spatula
I do love TFT
Omg i love your edits so much theyre always so fun to watch
I think part of the reason TFT is so big is because it is shared with mobile. You can play the game on mobile and all progress is shared between the two. Honestly I think Riot should do the same with Wild Rift, not sharing games between mobile and PC but making the progress and accounts be shared between the two. I think its kinda dumb that they seperated the two, there are so many cool wild rift skins that could be amazing in league pc, Riot can even make a mode where mobile and pc players play together if they want, theres so much stuff you can do if you just combine them and share the progress.
16:41 i was more thinking like "most popular mmo when?" xD
FYI, right now Golden Spatular start working on marketing itself outside of China, at least here in Thailand. Many choose switch to Golden Spatular because it have more cosmetic, independent set revial (with augment), better graphic optimization on mobile, and so on. Also because that golden Spatular is not available on PC, players who also play TFT on PC or still play the league choose to stick with TFT.
I play TFT on PC and GS on mobile. And I'm so happy that they Chibi Arcane Fractured Jinx & Chibi Isha in Golden Spatula! xD
I turned on tft when came out, but so many changes drove me to Battlegrounds HS, it is way more enjoyable to play and watch.
Honestly, they should make TFT its own standalone app, independent on the League client. They'd be able to tailor it to mobile gamers a lot more, improving the experience by a mile, kinda like Wild Rift.
With tft I can understand the overrpriced skins because they are more than the little legends they give. What I can’t forgive is putting a better model of the gacha jinx skin than the actual jinx skin
at 00:40 i thought he was about to say shyvanna rework
I hate online games coz my connection sucks, but Roit games are something else that i keep playing them with friends from time to time and on daily base. so yes tft, league, valorant are type of games where is fun to play them as game or two as break then continuous your day.
But the new set of tft is really fun that i invited 7 people of my friends to play it, and they fall in love with hyper rolls, and tbh we have more fun in tft than League of Valorant at this point.
for a casual who just watched arcane, or just wants something chill in general: autochess is a way easier sell than a moba in the current gamer landscape
Everything came out of the League of Legends Universe always have best reputation and wholesome than League itself.
I'm not surprised that Riot invest less effort in LoL ans start to expand franchise more.
They probably dont want to share numbers on their gacha games, because it might invite regulations and closer scrutiny.
Don’t make me come back. Iv been away from League for about 2 years. And… I’ve been happy. But between Arcane S2 and this Video I am so close to redownloading!
Ez just play tft and not league
I still begging for having a version of TFT in PC OUTSIDE of League's Client, I personally don't like to play in my mobile anything and I just don't play League not even ARAM
There is a TFT streamer in Vietnam always pulls AT LEAST 10k views, which is absurd for a non top 10 language stream.
I didnt know about TFT until a friend and i got into Arcane. So happy we found out about it
MAN, the dota fanboys do not like what you just said in 3:45
The man, the legend, has made a reaction to your video.
You might want to watch for any updates.
And still not enough money for Riot
Its pretty good to start if you havent. You also dont need to purchase anything.
300M lifetime doesn't translate to actual players though. How many active players does it have?
Since "bazaar" beta is out I not touched TFT xD I think when they launch especially their mobile version that will be crazy
Imagine TFT is Competing against a variant of itself called GOLDEN SPATULA lol
1:26
I’ll applaude when it’s something for console, marvel rivals has spoiled me I’m sorry😭😭😭. Saving up to try out the side scroll games from lol though as a PlayStation user so it’s something…💀
i wish riot would make a storydriven game like life is strange
Rift refugees. I would dabble in it, but since the rift is becoming more and more unplayable. It's nice to essentially have a 1 player game where you can still be competitive and not have to deal with 4 other people either making you feel bad or just being bad.
Im waiting for the engine upgrade but until then there is a who other world of games I've been neglecting because of league.
Crazy that they cant make it so tft on iPhone doesn’t turn your background apps down
Riot does it again, a new game genre emerges and Riot does it better than the first version that came out of autochess
Of all the Riot IP I only stuck with LoR, I could not get into TFT and LoL as much as I wanted 😫 I look forward to 2XKO, although my ideal Riot game would be an ARPG like ZZZ
I really want TFT out of the league client and it having its own launcher.
It is a pretty short video, compared to usual for a tweet
In terms of Auto battlers, one can't overlook Hearthstone's Battlegrounds. It's pretty massive. If TFT is number 1, it wouldn't surprise me if Battlegrounds is number 2.
Just to reminder, league pro player such as faker, chovy, peanut, oner is such avid tft player that their tft matches count higher than leagues lol
okay he said its biggest on PC, why are we talking about phones here
I think it's cross platform but most people play on PC
