I was going 138 in a 55 on my cbr954. As soon as I saw flashing lights behind me I turned around and drove to the state trooper and stopped right next to him and he was so impressed I stopped for him I got off with a warning. Now when I go 10 over the speed limit I start worrying😂

Sean love the humor and sharing for people to own their responsibility, really no matter the issue. I appreciate your approach to life. I have several tickets and been pulled over in cars, boats, go-carts, and motorcycles. Even if I received a ticket, I thanked the officer and wish them a good. They were/are only doing their job. I was typically thankful on the tickets days, I was going as slow as I was, or the officers even wrote them for less than I was actually doing. I figured it made up for the days I didn’t get caught. Humor goes a hell of a lot further in the heat of the moment than anger!
That I learned the hard way!
It’s a pleasure watching your video’s. You are all blessed and gifted in what you do.

I have mixed responses to this video & don't know how to sort them out or categorize them. Hmmm. If I take my bike to the store the plan is to get there, pick up supplies and go home. If it's a sunny day & blue skies I want to go ' anywhere ' and take it all in - nature from the seat behind bars. There are times I'm not myself, almost emotionless as the day unravels, not responding in a typical manner and in my mind I totally understand a motorcycle ride is the medicine I need to put things back into perspective, I'm cautious and I might return from a trip under these conditions unchanged but feeling alright about everything - know what I mean? Sometimes I'm just outright reckless - period and I KNOW IT. Then there are planned trips long and far. At this point of my comment I would say I'm most vulnerable to be careless during a planned trip because there's pressure, there's a long term agenda not to forget more time on the road, getting tired, stops for fuel & food, distracted and upset about reckless automobile activity. All in all however I feel as a rider on some kind of 2 wheel motorized vehicle for the past 47 years I can honestly say most of the time I am aware of my surroundings including what the numbers on the speed limit sign are and THE FEEL of the wind, the motion of pistons, flywheels, rolling rubber with their sounding vibrations, the total motion I'm in, the equilibrium -state of balance and mental poise that comes with all that which goes into my body so that somehow without even thinking about it I am not violating the laws of man and I am one with my machine and the cosmic mechanisms with the rotation and vibration of the earth doing this ' dance ' across miles and miles of macadam guided by friendly forces propelling me along and massaging the soul thus quieting my mind and placing me in the correct order of all THIS unfolding.

Hey Sean, hit the nail right on the head talking about super sport bikes and speeding. I have owned 11 bikes so far, a ZX10R being my latest and I find myself breaking the law constantly on it. Almost considering downsizing to a 650 KRT or otherwise because it's just TOO much too often and I can't control myself sometimes exceeding 100mph almost unintentionally. Especially coming from a DYNA/GOLDWING its a huge difference.

I was speeding on a divided hwy and cop passed me in opposite lanes and check my mirror yes of course his lights are on and he is going through the median to get after me. I had a 1/2 mile head start and was currently doing 80 mph so I said fuk it and I opened it up. I came around a bend where I knew he could not see me turn so I turned into a subdivision. I calmly went through the sub until I saw an open garage... I pull into the garage. As I turn my bike off an attractive lady walked out the house door into the garage. She looked at me... I looked at her. I asked can I please just hang here for 5 mins? She smiled at me and told no prob. She got in her car and took off. I am one for one running from cops.

I am not a conservative driver or rider although I gave up the crazy kid driving when I got out of college. I have been stopped several times, but I have never gotten a ticket in my entire life. While not foolproof, my method is simple, I am calm, respectful and very polite. I've been lucky to avoid the small number of officers that never give warnings, only tickets. If someone doesn't already have a bad driving record, respect will go a long way towards avoiding a ticket.

You're correct about Virginia; over 80MPH, or 20 over the limit (whichever is less) is "reckless" driving, a class 1 misdemeanor. That’s a criminal offense, and it carries six DMV points, a potential fine of $2,500, and a potential jail sentence of 12 months. So you will need a lawyer. Sure you don't want to run....? Well, you are correct, that is much worse if you get caught, so don't do it. Or( for sweet baby Jeebus' sake) don't get caught.

1- never go more than five over in city.
2- never go more than ten over on highway within twenty miles of a city.
3- never go more than 20 over on STRAIGHT highways more than twenty miles from cities...
4- don’t do stunts on city or county roads or within 25 miles of a city when on highways.... (use empty parking lots in areas not patrolled).
5- be polite and respectful to the cops, and follow Chip’s advice (Dave Chappelle’s friend Chip, “Sorry officer, I didn’t know I couldn’t do that.”)

bikers are superior to the road for the simple fact u cant text or change the air settings looking at yourself in the mirror all in the glove compartment ect two hands on the grips eyes str8 ahead people in cars are way more unpredictable i dont know if i made sense but u get wat im trying to say bikers have no choice really but to look str8 ahead and they should have less chance of crashing

I knew a neighborhood where a motorcycle cop would have his bike backed behind a bush, and he would wear a green jacket, lie in the prone position, right at the base of the bush, with his radar gun. Looked to me like he painted his face green too.

Hey Sean, what are your thoughts on this? A close friend of mine noticed one of my vlogs where I was breaking the law (I love riding wheelies too LOL) and knew that in some states, riding on the back wheel on a public road is considered Reckless Driving (instant jail time). He is in Milwaukee and knows from experience that there are paid LEO's monitoring UA-cam for posted traffic violations and, according to him, they can legally track you down and nab ya using the video as evidence. Any concern with that? Ever heard of such a thing in your state?

+Puc Puc dang that sounds nuts. I ve have heard a little about this but there are a lot of people who do crazy stupid things on the road and are still making videos about it. So I don't think it happens often. But if I were you, and I should probably do this myself is speak to a lawyer in your own state and find out exactly what your right are. It would seem to me that we live in America and I understand that you can get busted for speeding but we still have the right to go over the speed limit when no one is to be seen. If that were not true than why can my car do 140 mph and is not regulated to the highest speed in my state which is 65mph. That being said I'm not a lawyer. And you should always know your rights. Bc the excuse "I didn't know" will not hold up in court. Videos can altered and edited. If I make a skit and I choke someone on the skit. The police probably won't come knocking on my door for assault. But if you get a dui and kill someone, they would probably use all those videos against you to prove a point also.

+Puc Puc another point how do they prove it was you? A faceless person a video. Talking. It could be your voice, but doesn't mean it's you

Side note, here in NC, the child support court used a person's Facebook postings about flashing money against them, for not paying child support. The judge took their barber's license over that. 🤷🏻

Sell your your road bike and buy a track bike and go nuts racing. Far better than risking it on the highway.
