Really pleased you discovered Day6. I thought you would like them. They are extremely talented musically but sadly underappreciated. All their albums are great but for me 'Sunshine' is their masterpiece. I'm sure you won't regret digging deeper into their catalogue. The B sides are just as good.

I can’t even see the name The Eastlight without my heart breaking. I didn’t know them when they were active and I don’t wanna listen to their music because I don’t want that trashy company to gain any revenue. All I can do is wish them a bright and happy future.

Thank you for these, happened upon The Rose a while back and loved them. The recommendations in Spotify were all kpop bands so I thought that was it.

Day6 is a k-rock band, they debuted under jyp ent in 2015
The member :
Sungjin : leader, 1993, guitarist (the one with brown hair), main vocal
Jae : main guitarist (the one with blue hair), 1992, lead vocal
Young k : bassist, 1993, rapper&vocal
Wonpil : keyboardist, 1994, vocal
Dowoon : drummer, 1995, he barely sing in their b-side
They write and compose all of their songs, but sadly they underrated in korea bcs ‘band’ didn’t get much attention like idol group
If you like them, i would recommend ‘I wait’ ‘How can I say’ ‘Stop the rain (japanese single)’ ‘I need somebody’ ‘Deep in love’ and ‘Best part’, or you can choose anything for your next video
Oh and firstly i’m so sorry for my bad english
Sing me is one of their better tracks too
one thing that i really like about day6 is that they don't stick to one genre
they tried to mix different elements together and make it their own style
so sometimes when i hear their songs i can't decide what genre they are because they are very unique

Thanks for the reaction, Day6 are my absolute favorite band.
Their discography is very varied style-wise & they write all their own songs.
All the members sing (except the drummer who only has small vocal moments on the occasional track) , there is no 'lead' singer.
Subtitles are nearly always available, which is great because the lyrics are well worth paying attention to.
Recommend checking out their debut track *Congratulations* plus *I Wait, How Can I Say, Dance Dance* & *Sweet Chaos* for that rockier vibe.
But all their songs are fabulous. *I Need Somebody* is a fan fave & will probably get recommended a lot. The most recent track *Zombie* is a somber work of genius, plus there's an English version.
Their Japanese songs are awesome, but these always get blocked so it's probably not worth posting a reaction to those.
And yes, every single one of them are singing, including the drummer (occasionally)
I hope you listen to their full album “Entropy” it’s amazing... well listen to their full discography. Day6 is amazing!!!

I'm soooo excited to see you react to DAY6! I've seen them in concert twice and they are amazing live ! I recommend checking out "Days Gone By" (kinda retro), "I wait", "Stop the Rain", "I need somebody", a fan favourite, and, wait no, I'll stop there or I'll just give you the whole discography !
The Rose and N.Flying (a mix of rock and hip-hop) are two other bands you might be interested in :)
And if you want real rock, not kpop-rock (which I don't mean in a bad way, I LOOOVE DAY6, The Rose and N.Flying, I've seen them all live), you should check out Guckkasten ("Montage", "Manicure", "Pulse" for example) ! And Nell is another well respected band (their live version of "Words you shouldn't believe" is amazing ! It's like 8 minutes long but those 8 minutes feel like 3 ! such an great live !) Their vocalist writes music for many artists and the band featured in lots of songs, even some BTS songs.
English isn't my first language, so I lack adjectives other than great/amazing/awesome but you get the idea ! ;)

I love F.T.Island, Day6, The Rose, and N.flying, but I'm not sure why the RoK's solid punk groups never get brought into the k-rock conversation. I know Crying Nut isn't eye candy, but Uncomfortable Party is a catchy earworm. The Geeks may not be making music these days but they played SXSW in 2013, as did No Brain. Admittedly international access to their punk scene is limited to live videos, but it's still vibrant.
Day 6 is on of my FAVES faves groups, and Shoot Me on of my favorite songs, I'm Soo glad that you reacted to them. You should react to The Rose and more song from Day6 in the future... Their never disappoint

I don't know much about day6 but I really like them, I think not all of the members dance but they don't need it much because their performances aren't dance focused like most of other idols. They play their own instruments and idk if all of them sing but it's an awesome group

5:26 Jrock and Krock usually tends to be more focused on the guitar to me. If you listen to rock like, Bon Jovi or any western rock artist as well. You can clearly hear the difference. Personally to me, Krock is kinda influenced by Jrock, or at least similar. Jrock is very very much focused on the guitar btw. Like, sometimes even more so than the vocals. And like, not just guitar actually. It all depends on the song to be honest.
Krock tends to be more mellow and Jrock is very much out there and explosive.
Both very good in their own way and for Jrock, I recommend: *Hated By Life Itself* A.K.A *Life Hates Us Now* sang by Mafumafu and also *As You Like It* by Eve

The Rose is amazing, but very underrated sadly, I would recommend watching “sorry” or “baby”. N.flying “the real” and “hot potato” are also great
So, Day6 are a band and technically rock, but they are very often considered an "idol kpop" group. They definitely fit both. It's mostly because they're under one of the Big 3 kpop entertainment companies that they are grouped into idols and kpop, but yes technically they are "krock."
