Three prong watch case wrenches are very useful tools used to open the screw off backs from many common water resistant watches. These wrenches usually feature sets of differently shaped pins to open a variety of watch backs.

One of the best, most well produced educational videos I have seen on youtube. No annoying background music drowning out the dialogue. No rambling discourse on what you watched on tv last night, had for breakfast etc. Straight to the point, clear logical instructions. Brilliant. Thanks.

Wow! I agree, once you have everything in place to open the case back: with a firm pressure then slowly turn counter-clockwise to open the back. Remember, do no harm! Scott knows what he's talking about, so please listen to him if you wish to do thing correctly.

Arvind kumar Unfortunately we're not familiar with specific brands of watches. If it has no notches on the back, it can still be a "screw off" back that requires a friction tool to grip and twist the back. If it's not a screw off kind, there is usually a notch somewhere around the lip of the back for a case knife to pry up.

With expensive watches you definitely want to either use a good quality precision tool or a tool that you are very comfortable using and have had lots of practice using. You don't want to slip!

You should have mentioned at the very beginning there are some watches without notches. I watched the whole video and it was basically useless to me since my watch is notch-less.
