I find humor in all the comments in making Limon a control city. Where the hell else are you going to put it? Kansas? Burlington is still 75 miles away, and Limon is the convergence of I-70 and major routes US 24, 40 and 287. Like I-80 in Illinois westbound; control city is "Iowa". There's literally nothing else out there. There's exit 354; only thing missing is the blue "no services" sign because there's nothing to go to. And you're still on the High Lonesome, over 5000 feet above sea level. But it is nice to get out of Denver; I've seen enough.
I live right at 6:50 on the left side! lol. I came here cause I knew there would be Limon hate lol. It’s a decent town with a lot of nice people if you ever stop there…People just hate it cause it’s a control city but it has a junctions for multiple major highways…
@@GeographyTrain Bay St Louis is a far worse control city than Limon. It's not even directly off the interstate and the state that it is in doesn't even sign it. Either Gulfport or Mobile would be far better choices. Limon just seems bad because CCF for whatever reason chose to pick on it the most. If you want to see really bad control cities just look at I-90 EB in Wyoming.
You'd think Limon would be a bustling metropolis by the amount of times it is signed in Denver.
Who else immediately have Todd yelling LIMON in their head rn?
Limon?! Blaah
Someone show this to him. LOL

I love him for that.
I live in Denver. Todd’s hate for Limon is funny but damn…It’s a nice town with nice people. I’ve stopped there plenty of times lol
@58:43 Look at that incredibly wide median!! I love when the Interstate is designed like this.
When life gives you LIMON, make LIMONADE!! Hey, I’ve spent nights sleeping in LIMON!! At least the people were nice!😂😂
Todd (Control City Freak) dreams about Limonade all the time. 😅
Limon? LIMON!
smelled the Limon hate from a mile away
I’m from the east coast and I am not used to interstates that are flat and having no trees along the highway.

I'd take Topeka, Kansas, Kansas City over Limon.
@@rjmcallister1888-l3p I’d sign Kansas, there isn’t anything worthy of signage in Colorado, Kansas would be more helpful to drivers

Pray for florida
I'm suprised by how many tall industrial buildings (grain elevators/oil refineries) are along freeways on the north side of Denver!
Oh Limon, one of the worst control cities on an interstate
It's not as bad as CCF makes it out to be. There are many that are worse.
@@dvferyance True but Limon still isn’t a good choice. Signing Kansas would be more helpful to drivers imo
@@GeographyTrain I am not a fan of control states. I wish Illinois would sign Milwaukee instead of Wisconsin.
@@dvferyance In that case I think it would be better to sign the major city, but I think this is a different case tbh

43:02 The moment when the whistle sound start
I was on this interstate back in 2017 on Greyhound but I was going west and it was dark like almost 2 am, I was in Denver around 3 am or so
1:06:42 Exit 354
Limon the most important city in the world.
You'd think it would be bigger by now with all that promotion it gets in Denver.
Limon? LIMON!?! RAHHHH
Control city freak lol
Are you a beer drinker @MileageMikeTravels? Did you get to visit any breweries while in the Denver area?
We thought IDiOT was bad but at least there signage ain’t bad
I hate that stretch of I-70 it has little bumps in the road that make the ride feel weird
