Hi Ken' and Marion, the best of this video for me was when you visited the Fuku coffee shop, it had me reminiscing of Hong Kong in 1971 (stationed with the military). In Kowloon there was a shoe shop called 'Fu Ku shoes', naturally our squaddie (army) humour translation of the name was "Fuk U Shoes" 🙈🙊🙉😉 which somewhat annoyed the owner ( can't think why🤔). Whether a relation or not, the coffee shop name had me creased up with aching jaws from laughing 🤣😂🤣. Keep them coming guys, Ride Safe 🤗
Gent looks amazing, adding it to my bucket list. Great video guys and I'm glad your bike was stolen, I can't imagine the sinking feeling you must have had when it wasn't where you had left it.
18:24 Lambic doesn't get its name from the village of Lembeek. Brewery Boon is located there. The sour beers (Gueuze, Lambic, Kriek, ...) are typical for the Pajottenland and Zenne & Zoniën regions near Brussels.
Nice you liked Belgium, I use to live near Lembeek where they brew the Boon gueuze, my mum was born and raised near Ghent, I am so sorry we could not meet, but next time we arrange that. But one thing makes me really sorry : you say Mc Donald fries are better than our traditionnal fries, well that's makes me sad.
When I visited Belgium became very find of Duvel and "Braven Apostel". The last a local beer from Middelkerke. Made by a guy I know as Dave, he rides interesting bikes. Come to think of it, I liked the entire country. Oh yeah, really liked the 10 to 12% alcohol and all he trappist beers... Great country.... OH and Google Maps routed me through Brussels on my URal, in driving rain instead of the back way, directly to where I was heading... Did get a nice wave and nod from the local cops, on BMWs, also stuck in the rain... I may have a video of it on my channel.
Gent looks like an amazing place to live. I'm not wild about Belgian beer ( IMO US craft beers are the pinnacle) but the architecture in that city is a feast for architecture nerds eyeballs!
Belgium has litsvto offer Beanster and Beanstress, the beer as you say is special. My favourite city is probably Bruges, although i prefer to be in the Ardennes region, ariund Bastogne/ Houffalize or Laroche. We were only 100 miles apart when you were here and a shame we couldn't meet, but one day. Ride safe 👍
Hehe yeah so sorry about that… it’s been a bit busy lately preparing for Christmas at work so I haven’t been able to edit anything… 🫤 But glad you are still here 😁
nice episode. You said it was a chaotic episode and I noticed that too when I wanted to meet you at my place. I noticed that you didn't really have an indication of when and where you would be somewhere. I was very sorry that I didn't have the chance to meet you and offer you a place to sleep. I had planned a nice ride for us with sights from the Second World War. Unfortunately it was not to be. Hopefully I can meet you again in the future. Greetings Jordy from Belgium.
Damn I’ve should known that you were in the Netherlands. Would love to meet! You should have come to the south. It’s not flat here, instead of the north. When we are next time in Norway we should meet. Love your country!
I hope that the both of you enjoyed Amsterdam, but i do think that you maybe can expect some traffic-fines coming your way. The reason is that most of the city has been turned into a 30km-zone, and you were speeding in this area. Could be that you were caught on camera.
