Hey, went into the video thinking it'd tell me to block and to parry. I was pleasantly surprised to see this was actually a very funny, well explained guide on more advanced tactics in Chivalry 2. Congratulations, I hope this video gets the attention it deserves.
Took me a few weeks to figure movements out.. granted, I've only been playing a few months. But im already close to 2k kills... and have over 300 commendations, for a level 82😂..not bad for me tbh..
Best Chiv2 video I've ever seen. Not blowing up your ego. You jump topics smoothly and in a great pace. You don't over monologue, all the clips are well sorted with great highlights on objects youre trying to address. Overall amazing work putting this one together.
Maul user, engineer and good player. Amazing guide, I will share it with some friends that started to play recently. One thing to add, you can kick doors to open them in one shot, instead of trying to destroy it with the weapon, like you do at 13:44, it's faster. It's nice to a fellow European wanting to help out the new guys :)
best tips and tricks video i have seen so far, cleared up a lot of things for me. Now that i understand the knowledge, its time to figure out how to convince my hands to do what my head thinks.
Been playing a lot of Chiv 2 lately and wanted to get better. Came across your video and loved it! I realized that when I was doing best was basically when I followed these tips without knowing (moving targets, accel, decel, etc.). subscribing!
this guide was absolutely amazing, this is how you teach people how to play a game. i was entertained the entire time and learned things even as an intermediate player, ive improved
i just got the game last night and stayed up super late learning the mechanics. Love it! thank you for the helpful video! You just saved me a weeks worth of fumbling around
Thanks bro you took me from bottom 3 to mid top of leader boards still struggling with ducking under swings and movement or maybe it's target switch I dunno but your video helped a treat! Legend
Dude. This is the best edited video for explaining and demonstrating the mechanics of this game. I still suck at Chiv II but after watching this video I can honestly say that I have actually improved. One day I might even be "not bad" ....so thank you very much.
also I recommend to play brawl every time you get the chance. I do believe it helps a lot with movement due to the disparity of weapon spawns, and teaches you to better use your environment, such as traps, throwables or consumables like food that can be found on various maps, like fish from fountains if you dont have bandages. It’s chaos, sometimes you get a 34 player FFA and playing for some time will teach you how to dodge really fast because you won’t fancy a 20 second respawn in a 6 minute game. Or even a few games of duel, fighting a single opponent who is better/good over and over will also make you try new moves, implement more feints, ducks and dodges. Combat system isn’t complex, you just need to learn how to implement them and time them correctly, and never EVER forget about the Holy Jab. Kicks too, but the Jab is eternal. They can easily confuse your enemies and make them lose footing on you and they’ll start attacking desperately without parrying, earning you an easy kill. Amazing video though, I enjoyed it a lot!
Hard agree on all points. Good movements help with running around all the players in plain sight without them being able to hit you to damage the VIP or OBJ.
Amazing video! If I may suggest some input, when feinting like at 17:30 you can sell the feint even more by "dragging" or accelerating/delaying the initial feinted attack, and then even doing the same for the follow-up, actual one. For instance in the clip, if you're feinting a slash into an overhead like he is, you can accelerate the slash by dragging your mouse to the left to sell the attack and fake out a counter. Gotta make sure you feint in time before the windup phase is over, then as you perform the overhead (continuing the previous example) you can also accelerate or delay that, dependant on situation. You can even use this to move around a parry window (0:27) by making your opponent look towards your initial feint, if you manage to sell it. Hope that makes sense!
this video is wonderful, I'll watch this probably quite a few times even though I'll be horrible at this game eternally. I'll sub too since the upload schedule is very consistent and frequent as an added bonus
I downloaded this game a week ago probably less i play on console id love to see more content from u becuse this is the only video that actually made sense from the ones iv watched so far so idk target switching is a game changer honestly like i figured that but the way u explaind it just mad so much sence to a simple topic from a realy complex game
Great video, honestly you're making it look effortless but it's a lot harder to implement everything properly in the game but if you practice enough you really get better than normal playersgrinning the jabbing and the counter is crucial in this game, sometimes crouching too fast makes your enemy see that you're crouching and he'll target below too, so you gotta master that time of crouching as well, and the fact of riposte and change opponent is gold whenever it's a 1vX, really changes the gameplay!! I hope your videos reach more people as they're hilarious and epic!
Great tips in this video Some other general tips I recommend: - The wooden doors at 13:44 can be kicked open instantly for faster entry. - If your teamate is down but an enemy is nearby, prioritize killing the enemy first, DO NOT pick up your teamate first, or you will likely both die. - Prioritize destroying enemy banners and engineer walls in team fights. Too many people leave them be not realizing the enemy is bottlenecking the point and getting constant aoe heals. - If you are playing engineer, the previous point ^ especially applies. You do extra damage to objectives/constructables. - When placing engineer walls, 90% of the time it's better to only partially block choke points because it creates a tighter bottleneck, but if you completely block off the area it encourages the enemies to completely break down all your walls instantly.
Hands down best chiv2 vid, as a Javelinman main. Blunt weapon enjoyer. 600hours. My tip would be to throw shit. Noob dont throw things. Very OP mechanic if you have good aim. I don't use jab so much maybe its my style, but I win against jabber regularly. Using footsies always keep that perfect range where they think they can hit you, but actually can't. Last tip is counter everything in team objective, no stamina = instant death. Especially if you're a skirmisher. Keep up the great work bro. You've got a fan.
Nice video! You've got my subscription! I've subconsciously been doing some of these tricks, but I had no clue about some of these mechanics, like how horses could kick!
I always love your videos on Chiv/Mor. This one was both informative but also had great humor factored in. Keep up the great content. Look forward to seeing your next upload.
He and a friend are trying to get back into the game at a very middling level, we both sit around the top 10 on the leaderboard usually but never have consistent performance. This video is spectacular in explaining what we’re missing and what is being used to shut us down, well done. 10/10
Best advise for the game I’ve gotten so far thanks constantly attacking different people and the perry area is what I was missing I had foot work baiting down the rest helped me a lot
Also with the horses, on some maps, Rudhelm for example, horses aren’t meant to be in certain sections. Like the keep. You can go out of bounds, grab a horse, and ride it into that castle. Using this, I once took out 6 people guarding the staircase simultaneously. It can be insane. Horses are your friend. Also, when you get stuck on a horse and enemies are near, before you run, do a rear kick for good measure, it can stop you from getting demolished by a maul or an axe. Also the library in Askandir. You get a torch and run circles burning books and carrying the team.
The way you zoom in on incoming attackers is such s hilarious image 🤣. It's like u can see their intent based on the way the literally facing you, axe in hand. Brilliant. Love this game man, just wish it had a bigger n more vocal community. Just imagine they added proximity to this game aswell 😂.
First guide by an actual good player. I was looking for tips like these because i noticed you can overhead without losing sprint momentum. And the default binds are pretty bad cause you cant even heavy overhead with scroll up
Awesome video. One more reason ducking while attacking is great. When you're moving and attacking at the same time your character lunges forward with the attack. There's 2 ways to not do this. Stand completely still or croutch. So crouching and attacking really helps with spacing.
Thanks to you I finally understood while some players were still able to hit me even tough I had the momentum or seemed to swing faster than me even tough they had a slower weapon. "Move your body into the attack". Big "I got it" moment for me. thanks
Even after many hours I've had in this game, where I could perform well, I actually learned something from here, thank you very much, my friend is getting into Chivalry, and I will send him this video after he gets the hang of it.
17:00 an advanced tip for horses, treat them like tanks, some people like to use them to flank around and just disrupt the enemy and thats fine, but one of the best ways to use the horse in my opinion is to be a beefed up knight that has extra range and damage, it is also easy to counter because most people just slash away at the horses, so its easy counters and heavy slashes that keep the enemy at bay, combine this with front kicks and you become untouchable for however long you manage to survive
Bro I’m pretty sure you absolutely destroyed me yesterday on Chivalry 2. The exact same armour, character, weapon and overall fighting style. That’s crazy.
This was great, entertaining and useful for more advanced players as well. (Fyi - you can kick doors down in one hit instead of using main attacks) Hope to see you in game sir
for the ducking, one word of advice: yes. its useful But theres a difference between ducking and going gremlin mode. Way too many players are just perma-crouched and its got an easy counter too: just aim down or use overheads c:
Brilliant video, gives a good run-down of tips and tricks.. Only one minor gripe, this video highlights exactly what is wrong with Chivalry 2, and was the main issue why dagger footmen were such a pain in Chivalry 1, too many duck/weave/Drag/accelerate people. YES; its a game, play it as you want, but even as a Knight of Mason, I refuse to use GAME mechanics to win a fight, I might drag and accelerate every now and then when looking around for a 2nd/3rd/4th opponent coming into the fight or brawl, but those are unintentional. I pride myself on using the parry, riposte and a mix of overheads, stabs and kicks along with sweeping strikes to best my opponent, not the WISEST course of action, given that I'm handicapping myself against people who use ALL tricks in the books, but I would rather die honourably and learn from my mistakes then become a mercenary scum that simply outplays his opponent using the games own mechanics to his advantage.
Rule of thumb for the jab: When you get damaged, most of the time, the attacking player still has the initiative to attack again. Jabbing after you getting hit resets the initiative and you can strike again.
Level 600 here As I watched the video I kept going hell ya hell ya to every point knowing how much these makes sense, Bery cool video 👏🏻 Im curious about your KDA 😂
im a comp player (snakeCase) and won a few duel tourneys and played comp LTS / TO. these are great tips, listen to this video! Another great tip is to maintain sprint speed always. Run around like a bullet hitting people in the back. Counter incoming enemie's attacks and use heavy accels so people dont counter them to maintain the sprint speed.
Im only min 57 into the video and its more information then ive gotten in 7 videos. Thank you bruh. Btw. I just got this is there like custome rooms to learn and 1v1 cuz my furst gane was 64 player and i was put in with the wolves. I was the only lvl 1 and everyone was 500 or higher unless they were a PlayStation player like me lmfao
Such a good video, funny and helps me out. Definitely subscribing to your channel. I just have one question about Chivalry 2. If I buy the premium version of a campaign do I unlock stuff which I have already gone past in levels? Like will I unlock the crusader head even though I'm past the level?
While on a map like Rudhelm, Coxwell or Bridgetown during objectives where you need to light things on fire, you can run and jump, looking at the fires while interacting with them similar to the ladders on Montcrux. This way you don't stay stationary as long.
Hopefully this makes TO harder as new players learn more than slash and kick, also a particularly good tip for spacing is to crouch when attacking so you don’t lunge forward this means if you have a long weapon such as the halberd you can stay out of their reach and get a nice hit on them
One thing about reviving your teammates: only do it if it is safe to do so. If youre on the front line and a teammate falls in front of you, its better to focus on the enemy and let them try to crawl to a safer position. Otherwise youll both die while you are exposed picking them up
Do you have any tips for console controller settings? I feel like I can't get the sensitivity right. It's also kinda a pain to hit 2 buttons at the same time to throw a weapon.
Hey, went into the video thinking it'd tell me to block and to parry. I was pleasantly surprised to see this was actually a very funny, well explained guide on more advanced tactics in Chivalry 2. Congratulations, I hope this video gets the attention it deserves.
goat
Its an incredible guide for a game that hasnt had a good guide in a long time especially covering complex topics!
Mr.zig
Hey thanks @Ziggylata. I actually tune into your chiv 2 stream sometimes, appreciate you stopping by.
Hey kind of unrelated but would you consider the rapier overpowered in duels?
I notice a common theme in the best chivalry players: they know how to parry, they switch targets, and they manage their weapon range
Yes, the most important mechanics are: movement, counter, and targeting
Took me a few weeks to figure movements out.. granted, I've only been playing a few months. But im already close to 2k kills... and have over 300 commendations, for a level 82😂..not bad for me tbh..
I have the best chivalry clips
And the f'ing ducking.
I hate the ducking.
@@thisguy8373 Good for you!!

thanks, I didn't know that, time to FBI-OPEN-UP some doors
Youc can kick doors? Wtf didn't know this
Im jealous that your friends play chivalry with you, my friends all hate the game to the point of uninstalling abd shitting on me for playing it
This is the best TO tips video I’ve seen, all the foundation you need to be in the top 1% of team objective players
From bad to NOT BAD in one video
15:03 "Have you tried out the new weapon? 😀" He sounded EXACTLY like Henry from kingdom come deliverance
he sounds hungry
Bro exactly. Identical 😂
Jesus Christ be praised.
best tips and tricks video i have seen so far, cleared up a lot of things for me. Now that i understand the knowledge, its time to figure out how to convince my hands to do what my head thinks.
fully agree with you. i play on console and while my brain knows all the tips and tricks, my hands refuse to cooperate when i play
Join 3v3 and dedicate time just to practicing certain things, for example countering every hit. Dont focus on winning and train
😂😂 relatable I suffer from a intermittent case of stupid fingers
It took me about 100 hour duel and 100 team objective to be not bad. Now Im at total 600 hours, I stomp lobby with meme build to find some challenge 😂
It takes time
This is honestly the best Chivalry 2 video I have ever seen. Both incredibly Helpful and Hilarious. Hope to see more from you, Joe of Leo.

i would like you to know that this medium to advanced game guide has convinced me to play this game for the first time . well made
this guide was absolutely amazing, this is how you teach people how to play a game. i was entertained the entire time and learned things even as an intermediate player, ive improved
Just downloaded it last night and really needed this. Thank you man your comedy and skill has earned you a new sub
It's so hard at first but when it starts to click it gets really fun
Fantastic editing, funny and informative, good stuff man
Ive recently got into the game and have been watching a lot of content. This is one of the best videos I have seen yet. Well done and subscribed.
Haven't played chivalry in over a year, but this video makes me want to again. It's comedic gold with actually useful tips. Well done...

for the ducking, one word of advice: yes. its useful

Hopefully this makes TO harder as new players learn more than slash and kick, also a particularly good tip for spacing is to crouch when attacking so you don’t lunge forward this means if you have a long weapon such as the halberd you can stay out of their reach and get a nice hit on them
Thanks bud! I really enjoyed your video. Really funny and informative. Jabbed the Subcribe button for ya!!!
