Pat Braun In The Real World, after doing time in Prison, they wish they could be free and when they are, they can't handle life in the Outside World and then they go back because they feel safe in The Cage. Remember how many times The Two Julies Sabotaged their chances of Freedom on Bad Girls.
I liked Kerry Armstrong and Lynne but her storyline was over when she got released. It was very forced to keep her in the series. Like later on with Judy. Both were good characters but once their stories were done, they didn't do the show any favors by hanging around.
@@markxxx21 Yes, you're right about that. Watching this back in the 70s I was sad Lynn might not be on the show anymore, but I was also happy for her that she was free and her conviction was overturned - her FIRST one, that is.....😅😅😅
Lynn's the worst kind of attention seeker. Acts like butter wouldn't melt then heads out on a payroll snatch. Bung her in the pound for a couple of decades.
Karen's mother one of those ridiculously OTT panto villains that pop up on this show often but its part of its charm. Kind of weird ending but I guess Karen has never said anything about appealing before. So glad that Doug has gone. Hopefully get rid of "great bloke" Eddie soon. I liked it when his boss told him that "the woman" will give him his money. Actually, both Eddie & Lynete would have been a better match with both being so needy.
If she hadn't been set up by that sleazy couple, she wouldn't have gone into the downward spiral. Once she'd been in prison, even though proven innocent, her life became more difficult and her options limited, which helped perpetuated the downward spiral.
I remember judy as a grown up in prison and when you seen mums grandaughter Judy as a little girl whom visited her in prison she sure did look like kiddy with them dark eyebrows and stuff just a face you can’t forget as soon as mum said oh Judy that’s when I clicked it’s Judy that ends up in prison when older

There's also an inmate, the blond. curly-haired lady w/ glasses, around middle age. She may not have even had a speaking part in all those years, but she was always in the background up to the very end. (In one of the earliest episodes, she was involved in a chase.) ........ The actress who played Meg felt this inmate should be present in the final scene of the last episode. I won't go into specifics--don't want to give anything away.
Well, I wish the rapid transit system in this country, especially Chicago, was safe enough to use because it absolutely is not. Who wants to be pushed off the tracks or robbed....and sometimes both. Just thinking, seen the Underbelly tale of 2 cities series chronicling the underworld of this particular time and place with the likes of Lenny Mcpherson,Chopper Read, the Kane bros,Ray Chuck Bennett,George Freeman and Chris 'Rentakill' Flannery. Those were some seriously heavy gangsters. Can imagine the Prisoner writers probably used them as inspiration for various characters. They would certainly have had plenty of good material to draw from.
The scriptwriters certainly didn't help! Kerry Armstrong played a totally different character in Skyways (set at an airport near Melbourne), and she was much more fum in that!

But I did pick up the series a little later after Doreen started acting like Franky
Bung her in the pound for a couple of decades.
karens mother is same character as moms daughter lol
No totally different characters! 😂 Mum's daughter was Madge in Neighbours tv series in Australia.
@@Halfscotboy_39I didn't mean same person... just same reaction from the daughter lol
@@MacStoker i see. Sorry
@@Halfscotboy_39 no probs, I could have written that comment better to be honest... have a great day my friend.
Love prisoner
same here 3rd time round
Doug died from being shot in his arm?? Lol no great loss...
Schön zu sehen, dass die Lynn keine Heulsuse mehr ist😅
I thought Doreen was going to say: 'And a Diet Coke' after she ordered all that food 😂!
Lynn been through a lot i know but damn she cry too much lol good acting though
OMG Lynn is awful when she cries, sounds so annoying
Can't believe Eddie would be that interested in Marrion, that guy must be "round the twist"...
Steve Perrin I knew I recognised him from somewhere but couldn't think where till you said that ;)
As much as I like Lynn that whinging gets on my nerve
Reckon she still cries to this day
Lynn"s crying is the most annoying thing ever--I would have hated that role....perpetual cry baby..
Lynn is always making dumb decisions then become a victim
then cries and says sorry
Silly foolish Lyn...
10:13 - "YOU'RE A BORN EMPLOYEE, SON - YOU'LL NEVER BE ANYTHING ELSE" 😅😅😅😅😅 Way to boost a young guy's confidence, chief. By the way, I don't know how anybody could be taken seriously in those clothes with those sideburns. I don't. NOTE: If you have a gut like that, it's patently unwise to wear that kind of shirt.
Thought the same!! Lol
mum brooks knew doug was a looser
The music that comes in at about 43:40 is very Hitchcockian.
That's Tina.
Good old Tina Murray
Tina - Big T to her mates.
I really loved watching prisoner cell block h I got all the episodes on DVD and still love watching it should be repeated on channel 5.
34:48 A lot of the characters in this show carpool or take public transit. I wish more people did that here in the U.S.
Well, I wish the rapid transit system in this country, especially Chicago, was safe enough to use because it absolutely is not. Who wants to be pushed off the tracks or robbed....and sometimes both. Once they're done with you, they push you off with nobody ever doing anything about it. Thanks, Mayor Lightfoot.
I'm just wonder how Greg found Lyn? I couldn't make out a word except please
The paper on the phone booth wall. It didn't really show it but that's where she got the address from.
33:22
“Sick little game”
So technical 😂
These characters are so real 😃 quality show
2019 anyone?
The inmate with the brown hair that was talking to Jean vernon in the rec room later played officer sue Bailey
Kerry Armstrong is such a crappy actor. When Lynn "cries" I have to turn the volume down it's soo bloody annoying.
Sad how self centered Karen’s mom is. That’s the sort of person to ignore honey
Meg - "don't give me your stastistics" lol @stastistics"
Lyn gets right on my nerves!
You and the rest of us!,,
there dirty big rat looking at me and he's licking his lips !! lol
The first time we see the annoying side of Doreen
The FIRST time? I dunno maybe it's just me I find her character really annoying haha :")
Whoever plays Lynne Warner is one of the crapiest actors in the whole series. Her crying is so bloody irritating!
I think Karen (Peta Toppano) and Lizzie (Sheila Florence) are the best actors at this stage of the show.
I agree
The scriptwriters certainly didn't help! Kerry Armstrong played a totally different character in Skyways (set at an airport near Melbourne), and she was much more fum in that!
Nobody is worse than Lexie who come later on...She was horrific
I was thinking people were probably thinking that but losing a husband IS that bad.
Lynne is such a horrible actress, you almost want her to die in the car crash to put us out of misery
