Hey Ziggy, This Saturday I'm driving 5+ hours up to Little Elm Texas from San Antonio to pick up a windRider 16 that's on a trailer. Getting it for about 1/4 it's value 😅 I'm watching your mods video from 4 years ago. I'm a big time DIYer and make many things out of PVC, Star board (Cutting board) conduit pipes etc. I already own a like new 2009 Hobie Adventure Island I bought in January that I've yet to put in the water. I also have a little Merc 3.5 four stroke I'm planning on putting in the wind rider since it doesn't have the pedal drive option.... Sorry, I'm a little excited, can't wait to start sailing. Thanks for all the great content!
Picked it up, fixed a few issues, made a new seat backrest from a 55 gallon drum side. Just curious, do you have any... Getting ready Setting-up Breaking down Videos of your rig. 99% of people watching just see the on the water videos and think there's nothing to it, then go buy a sailboat and realize there's a LOT more to it than just the fun part. It's the same with a fully rigged fishing kayak. Thanks for all your content.
@@Manuel_Z_Kayaks There are Windrider set up videos online, I'll have to do a time lapse of the prelaunch set up; The time involved is the main drawback of the WR17. You notice I don't take it out day sailing unless I have it already tied up at my dock. To time consuming unless the boat is staying in the water for more than a day.
@@ZiggyLavengood Oh yeah, that's right! Thanks for refreshing my memory ... 😆 Out here on the left coast, we had a great sail out to Anacapa Island this past weekend! Conditions were perfect, and I really needed that chill time ...
@@ZiggyLavengood The thing about Anacapa is that there are very few places to anchor and/or go ashore. We pretty much sail out, heave to for a lunch break, and sail back.
These videos make me wish I lived closer!

Those drone shots were amazing looking! Thanks for making this badass video for us and also for the camera advice. I love this new DJI.
The DJIs make for a much simpler pack out of camera stuff when on adventures.
Awesome! What a wonderful group of great people ❤
We really are like family....
Very cool Ziggy! Good to see folks keeping to the old traditions. How come Buddy didn't get his boat christened?
We did that at the Cinco de mayo party a few videos back

@@timwebb8153 awesome looking island! I'm jealous. I'm going to load it up on my flight sim later and really check it out.
