I read many reviews before making a purchase🌼 and I have to say that they were all true. My dog, who never let me vacuum, ignores it and he would bark his head off with the push vacuum. The sound is not bad. It moves from wood floors through thresholds and over area rugs with ease. just make sure wires are off the ground as it will get tangled up.
*I run the m6 daily, and my floors look awesome🌼 **allabout.wiki/ECOVACS-N79S** I wet mop 2 days and dry sweep the rest of the days. When I first got it, I used the included disposable pads. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*
I had one of the first Rumba vacuums. After a couple years broke down and as only spinning in the circle ( cleaning a spot). When I contacted Rumba they informed me that they don't have spare parts for this problem and I will have to buy a new vacuum. It was $800 disposable vacuum. I will never buy Rumba again. I have a Deebot N79S now and I love it. I would say that clean my carpets better than Rumba did.

I can purchase replacement spinner things and twirly things. They do take a beating. Can I get them for this dealy-o? Also, are there IR border guards like my Rhombah comes with?

I have the deebot n79. Over a year. Today went to use it. The red lite blinks 4 times. But wont move. Blue lite blinks as charging. I have cleaned all pieces. 2 hrs later same thing. Does the battery quit holding a chg.

Ecovacs website doesn't work now either. It's a RIP off. If they're going to quit that quickly, I'll just buy a cheap one from now on ... and not from Ecovacs!
Ours stopped working after about 2 years. We called the help desk and they really couldn't help us. It stops working after about 15 minutes and goes back home. Any suggestions?
Hi do you ever have problems with it docking? Like mine, it heads straight for the dock and when it’s almost there it turns back and forth over the docking station. And then it gets stuck. So while I think it has returned home to charge, it actually hasn’t been charging. I’m trying to figure out if I just got a randomly dysfunctional one or if this happens to all Deebots. Thanks for your help and the review.
Hey you have had the Ecovac deebot n70 for a while now. How is it holding up? Does it still work like it did in day 1? How is the mapping mechanism in it? Does it remember the floor plan after several use? And how is it in the carpet? Have you had to replace any parts in it, like the brush or the filter or the wheels? Thank you for any help.
Hey Subham thanks for the comment. The N79 is holding up well for us. It seems to be working as good as when we first started using it. There isn't a mapping mechanism like the DEEBOT Ozmo 930 or the R95. But the N79 can just clean a room which it does pretty well at. So there has to be some type of basic mapping for that feature to work. Low carpet it works good, our longer carpet it goes pretty slow and struggles a bit. We haven't needed to replace any parts yet which is nice.
Just received mine this morning , was late to work watching Jeebs work. Had issues getting app set up. Might be the WiFi , not sure. Does It work with Alexa ? Heard both.
Hey +Angie Kelley. The N79 doesn't work with Alexa unfortunately. I just tried it to double check and here are the models that are Alexa compatible. DM81 Pro, DM87 DM88, DR95, DR96, DR98, DN79S, DEEBOT 900 series, DEEBOT OZMO 930, DEEBOT OZMO 610
@Bob Clough Jr are you sure it's not the N79s? I think they are the almost the same but the one with the "s" at the end works with Alexa and Google Assistant.
You must be on the 2.4G SSID band for your phone and not the 5G band. Now set it up on the 2.4. Once done and working you can put your phone back to the 5G band and all will work.
Just got one for Christmas. It works well on the sisal rug. Was happy with that. I'm having other issues learning how to make it work without getting lost

I loved it at first, but after awhile, she was going slower and slower. I only use her perhaps twice a week. This morning, she refused to come out of her charger. Sorry to hear your vacuum is on strike. One thing that happens to ours is something will get stuck so it will slow down. You might have already checked that but I thought it's worth mentioning. Let us know if you get it working again.
+Native722 it depends on how much. We typically pick up some of the kids toys on the ground but if we miss anything then the vacuum beeps and we fix it. It's not a big deal. But I don't let it go into our office that has more cords on the ground.

We love our N79!!! Have had it a year now and have it scheduled to turn on daily and clean. Great daily light use vacuum!

You just clean the sensors when it starts doing that. Of course Roomba wants you to buy a new one, but there is no reason to.
Good review. I still love my iRobot Roombas ;). Especially the ones with aeroforce extractors since they don’t get hairs tangled in them.

Thanks! It does have sensors to detect a drop-off. Unfortunately we weren't able to test it in our house because we don't have any steps.

Hello is your Debot still working for you I think mine is having battery issues It just goes totally dead in the middle of the floor.

I have had my Deebot since Christmas and the problem I'm having is it not finding its way back to the charger. Have you experienced that?
This has happened to us at least once. We have our charger in the middle of our house in an open area. I think that has helped it find its way back.
Does it resume cleaning after it recharges?

Deeboot N79S works with Alexa
Why would you want to control it from a remote or an app? Buy a non-robotic vacuum if you want to control it.
It's kinda handy if you want to move it out of the room you are in, or pick a a larger piece of dirt quick.
