My greatgrandfather was a german paratrooper and in greece and than in yugoslavia and finally in russia. The enemy partisans were terrible terrorists our veterans said.

Um die Griechen ging es ja auch gar nicht, sondern um die Engländer, die Kreta zu einer Festung gemacht hatten... Was hatten denn die Engländer auf Kreta zu suchen?
@@WBMaiergenauso ist es. Und den Griechen wurde auch nichts angetan. Man sah sich als Beschützer des Landes vor den englischen Invasoren. Aber das erzählt man im Unterricht auch gar nicht leider.
are you dumb? they didnt get the crap beaten out of them, they beat a garrision many times their size dug in, with artillery positions heavy machineguns , tanks and motorisation with just hand held weapons yes the cassualties were high but they are to be expected for every paradrop its a known fact that paradrops have had the most deaths of any military operation in history, no matter what country
