- today i will be trying to find out which melee weapon is the best in blood and iron, and which is the worst. I will judge based on hits to kill, building damage, and other factors. also reminder that i only hit the target when u can hear the contact with the sword such as the slash and such, i missed a couple times to also show the range so just a heads up

Sabre briquet/sword bayonet is very annoying to have for me, the only upsides they have is SLIGHTLY faster swing speed than sabres/swords, but that is useless as colour swing speed buff.
There are a few small factors you missed, some that I can think of is the greater range, yet slower swing speed of thrusting strikes, which makes the Hand Axe a teeny tiny bit worse in Combat, since an option of greater range could be helpful, but the Hand Axe does greater building damage than the Swords and Sabres
Sword and saber do40 damage, hand axe do 45

5:15 Good points, but this is false. Pike/Lance are actually the worst weapon. You may say that, "They can deal amazing damage to horses!" And yes, this is true, the hitbox and swing speed on the pike makes this practically useless. It's hard to counter anything with the pike, the only thing that makes it somewhat viable is stabbing with pike/lance and swapping to secondary really fast. The walk speed is also terrible, and the block speed is slower than a snail. So, in conclusion, pike/lance is actually the correct worst weapon. (Also, at 4:57 you should've included my 9 knife kill streak >:D )

Pike and lance are extremely good against horses. And it is not that hard to hit them. Knife is worse weapon in the game to abysmal range and low damage meaning you have to hit people 5 times if they are at full health for them to die, it also does bad damage against horses and constructs. And since it can’t block if you have an extremely hard time countering cavalry.
@Cutepanda1943 they are horrendous against horses! As long as the cavalry player knows that "oh, a huge stick probably wouldn't be good for my horse" they will avoid it like the plague making it obsolete. The knife actually can be useful as a getaway weapon, as well as a good surprise attack tool due to its versatility.
@@1_battery That can be useful for detering horses, or you can switch to it quickly and instantly kill the unprepared horseman. And lances can be effective because if you lose your horse during a cavalry fight you can get revenge and instantly kill any horses that try to attack you. And if they don’t that means it helps you survive long enough to find a new horse.
@Cutepanda1943 Fair. However, that "hold out another weapon until they're close" trick really only works with partisan due to Pikemen and Lancers have distinct uniforms. On top of that, the pike/definitely can scare them away as we've both agreed upon. But due to roblox having terrible servers you usually get hit by the rider, so you're half or lower by the time you're in a 1 on 1. Knife is at least a secondary meaning you have a chance at receiving a firearm or an axe variant. Obtaining pike just means you have to hope your secondary is actually useful.
While sword bayonet dosen’t have a walk speed buff itself, Rifleman and artillerymen the two classes with the weapon come with a rifle and a rammer respectively. This means they get the walk speed buff anyway so your walkspeed point was misleading. Also blocking is incredably important on cavalry maps because that allows you to prevent cavalry from hurting you while moving back to safety. Also swing speed isn’t really that important because in normal melee fights people usally try to walk away and go back meaning your swing speed dosen’t actually matter that much. And range is a massive disadvantage as the enemy can get a hit off at you before you can get close and it also makes it hard to get used to since your probably not using knife much. And having two melee weapons is not good because you will probably end up only using one most of the time making the other one useless.
On the topic of melees the arty class should be given a sword instead of the Sabre Briquet because you are defenseless against cavalry and line and light infantry

If you give sword to the artillery class it would have no weakness, therefor not balanced.

Hey, it would be nice if you just did some commentated gameplay on this game instead of reviews. I find them a little more entertaining and the channel “Skit Gaming” got really popular doing them.
I kinda like the sickle no joke, I just come up to some dude and start to spam hit him because the swing rate is fast and I move around so they get confused and miss their shot, truly the sicklest of all time

Appreciate it! And i ignored the cav melee weapons because they perform differently and have their own playstyle compared to the infantry melee weapons
By proxy they would be the best, they all take enemies to a sliver of health and you wind up more mobile due to the horse.

knife is quite underrated and pistol is broken
You can already do that with pistol but it is not the best choice due to pistol being weak. Rifle and light light musket can do the same except you keep a better weapon and have a better gun,

the Sword Bayonet/Sabre Briquet aren't super great weapons I think we can all agree on that but they are not the worst melee weapon in blood and iron

you forgot the hand axe that also does a lot of construct damage
the hand axe does a lot of construct damage, however it doesnt do as much as the top do, as well as having a slower swing speed compared to the militia hammer, statisticwise it isnt the best of the top

Branch 2 shot because someone might be low that will be one-two weapon
Same damage as axe and sledgehammer. The only thing that can one shot is a sword hit from a hussar at full speed
