Of course it will depend on chemistry and PG… the only contributing player they lost was Angel… but they will have rebounding with Smith and Morrow returning and tall Jersey… perimeter, mid range, and Paint points all covered… defense is solid with Johnson, Morrow, and Poa.. IFF they can get chemistry, it’s scary hours.. potentially better than both the 2022 and 2023 teams if the new pieces are firing right
Agreed. Last year was a circus, that should change. And they turned the ball over too much. Morrow is a defensive liability---to small for the inside, too slow for the outside. SEC ball is different 🙂
They do have final 4 potential. Flaujae will be a better leader than Reese and everybody will benefit from it. If they can stay injury free i wouldn't be surprised if they finish 2nd in the SEC.

A potential final 4 team? Seriously? LSU is going to miss Angel Reese more than people realize. FlauJae, Morris and Williams are solid, but beyond those three, I'm not impressed with anyone else on the team. South Carolina, UConn. USC, Notre Dame, Texas and UCLA all have a lot more talent and depth than LSU.

Your not impressed with Morrow, Smith, Williams, Johnson are solid? Morrow & Williams are a problem. Would you have said NC State was a final 4 team last year?
@@Teemezoney Yeah, but that's all they got. They will stay with anybody for the first half, but after that, teams with more talent and depth will take them down.
@@Teemezoney as we can see 3 players is not gone beat a team like SC Texas and even Oklahoma now that they got Beers I wouldn’t be surprised if they finished 4th in SEC
Folk sleeping on LSU, they will miss Reese but they have enough talent to make a run in March. I wouldn't be surprised if they finished 2nd in the SEC.
Morrow will be the backbone, they have to play around her!
agree. keen to watch her this season and she is undersized but still bullies people. should be fun.
I don’t se them being better than they were last season especially with Angel gone. They didn’t upgrade their player personnel with more talent they just got more players. None of Del Rosario, Smith or Wolfenbarger can rebound or score like Reese and that leadership she brought will be sorely missed. I don’t think Day Wilson or Gilbert upgrades their backcourt either… they do have some athleticism and speed it’s going to be interesting to see who wins the center position and PG role. Those were glaring misses last year and it’s even more apparent with Reese and HVL gone. I see 4th in SEC and Sweet Sixteen as their ceiling but they could surprise me and be better than that. Time will tell.

@@ashblonds She was playing against absolute garbage teams before her injury. Only team they played was Colorado and they lost that game. She’s solid but idk why everyone is acting like she’s a needle mover especially coming off a major injury.
LSU is still thin in the post
Jersey wants to shoot not play down low. They still lack bench depth in the post and size Smith is 6’2 and Morrow 6”1 will be outmatched by SC and Texas, OK with Beers will surprise some teams. I have them in elite 8 at best. 3rd in the SEC. Good show.😊

Let’s be very real PURPLE&GOLD NATION, nobody and I mean NOBODY!!!!! had us winning it all when we did. So I can’t really say they can’t win the SEC because we don’t honestly know, I can’t say they can’t get a favorable draw and make a run in the tourney because again we don’t know. What we do know is Coach Kim will work the hell out of them and get the maximum of effort and talent out of all of them and that’s all you can ask.
That championship happened because Dawn took Iowa too lightly in 2023
@@tjkelly197759 First of all Miss Dawn don’t take anybody lightly, S. Carolina just didn’t have the three point shooters to deal with Iowa. Now first forward to the next year and SC beats Iowa for the chip, why? Because Miss Dawn built one of the best three point shooting teams in the country with the best three point shooter in the country. And one the real reasons we beat Iowa for the chip besides Angel and Alexis was the outstanding three point shooting from Jasmine Carson she was 6 for 6 if I remember correctly and the way we played that championship game it wouldn’t have mattered who we played we would’ve won. So before you try to dilute our first basketball championship (men or women) look at everything that went into that championship game.
Wassup B2S. Good video. LSU has a lot of questions but simple answers: Sa'Myah coming all the way back? She being ready for opening night? Del Rosario taking a step forward? Who runs the point? Thought they needed another big. If Jersey can play some 4 or 5 then that would be gravy. They had depth/players on the bench last year. Mulkey didn't play them, even in blowouts. Maybe that video you posted of other coaches not having respect for her has some validity. We'll see this year. No celebrity stuff/mess on the team anymore. Flau'jae is the only celebrity but she's focused on playing ball & putting in work as we saw last year. They have depth, guard play, scorers, and as long as their bigs can hold up defensively they'll be as good as anyone.........IF THEY PLAY LIKE THEY SHOULD which they did not do last year.
Yep just wondering if they will play better without all the hype and focus on them. But yep they are thin up front and will be sunk if they have injuries. Hopefully they still healthy. Looking forward to seeing Morrow as alpha on a good team.
Maybe I need to look into it more and educate myself but based on the last 2 off seasons LSU doesn’t do great at grabbing what they actually need from the portal…
I think Marrow's efficiency is lower is because it seems she rushes her shots sometimes.
LSu does not have to beat South Carolina to win the SEC or to make it to the Final Four. When they won the Championship, Iowa beat USC and LSU beat Iowa in the championship. Annesah Morrow is a better player than Angel Reese and her motor is 10 times higher than Angel. Theynshould have 3-great players in Morrow, Johnson and Williams. Hopefully Smith will come back healthy and show improvment. Hopefully Rosario will be better, she did not transfer like her best friend did, so that tells me she wants to be coached hard. All the transfer know Mulkey won't give them anything. They all have something to prove and they all want to win. That is the only reason you come to LSU and play for Kim Mulkey. She is a HOF coach and won titles at two schools and won multiple titles as a assistant coach at LATECH and as a player at LATECH. LSU just have to get better as the season goes and stay injury free. LSU would have beat Iowa last year if they did not loose Smith with the ACL for the year and Poole to the transfer portal. GEAUX TIGERS.........

They can all the guards they want Morrow is good but against good athletes with height she has problems. If the win there post players have to be productive. Anything can happen but I don't see them in the final four.

What ceiling did you have for NC State last year? Do u think LSU can't make the final four the year? Would you put $1000 down on them not making. Ie $1000 down to win a $100?
@@back2sports I had Nc state ceiling being elite 8 LSU will not make the final four their is no can’t they will not make it I would bet my life savings they won’t make the final four that’s how confident I am they won’t make it LSU Won’t beat SC USC Texas UConn or Notre Dame or Nc State so if they get in one of their brackets next year they have to play one of them to make it to the final four
LSU added the Seimone Augustus as the assistant coach them girls gon be believing. I feel like Kim Mulkey sealed the deal on that and was a smart move. You can definitely learn something from her. She's a 4x champion in the W and won at the highest level. To me, it just doesn't get any better than us. I'm excited for this season for LSU. The guards gon believe and ADR gon be in good hands. I got the tea on who training her so we good baby. Just prayng for everyone to be healthy for us to make a run.

Last season seemed toxic. Kim does have a good track record going back to Sophia Young's days. Dawn Staley and Kelvin Sampson both recruit character (newbies have to pay their dues) and strong families. And there's probably a learning curve with the portal.
If she is from south Louisiana and she is from The Lafayette area referring To Jayda Richard its pronounced Ree_Shard . I'm married to one. FYI

Morrow is not a replacement for Angel, she was protected by Reese but now she will be exposed in SEC. I need what you are smoking, championship team?? Final Four?? this squad is 4th best in SEC at best.
Final four in what The SEC tournament? Kim Mulkey can’t coach and the players coming back are not good as the players they lost. Let’s see the LSU lose again this year to Carolina and keep the streak going.
