So I’ve been working at one of the busiest corporate Taco Bell’s in Michigan (001288) for about 4.5 years now. I believe the enchirito was removed in 2019~? All I know is that for all the corporate locations in my area, the area coach specifically stressed that we are not allowed to make them even when asked because if some stores do and others don’t then it leads to inconsistencies and complaints. However if you wanna (try) to order one, ask for a bean burrito add beef, red sauce on the outside of the burrito, and extra cheese on top.
Additionally, for fresco style we are to remove all dairy products (sauces, sour cream, and cheese) but furthermore we are supposed to remove guacamole. I believe the reason is to reduce calories, but I’m unsure. Taco Bell just got new guacamole, where we “make it” instead of it coming in frozen. Like it’s mixing avocado pulp, tomatoes, onions and a new guacamole dressing. I’m unsure if the dressing has diary in it
Work at a Franchise store and can confirm that this was removed from menus entirely when they cleaned out the menu in 2019.

The cheesy gordita crunch never went away... Just got more expensive.
I live in Michigan and the Enchirito is no more ... I've asked for it in more than one Taco Bell and they say they do not have it
As a coastal Texican, Frito Pie is comfort food, was elated when local Taco Bell stores introduced the Frito Burrito, back in the day: it was lumpy and so good, just Frito Pie stuffed in a rolled up tortilla. Years later, saw it was available, so ordered again, though it was no longer on the dollar menu: it was mostly rice. Now, I do eat rice more than bread, but in a Frito Burrito there should be chili, cheese and chips...that's it. I'm not all that sad that it's been discontinued.
I as well loved the Enchirito,and when I ordered it, and they wouldn't make it, I quit going there!That was about 5 years ago. 😪Hope they read these comments and make some changes by bringing back the great items of the past!!!
Yea they don’t allow us to make them anymore especially at the drive thru since it’s time consuming but maybe if you go inside they would - shift leader/manager
The meximelt was out of this world! But was expensive before they took it off the menu, was almost 3 dollars. Back in the 90s it was 99 cents.

The Encharito was a favorite of mine. I would get one for lunch everyday during lunch hour at school. They were 25 cents at the time. I wish they would bring them back they were so good...

Donna there were a favorite of mine too….but they have failed on bringing the Mexican pizza back,sold out after a month…whoever is running things at the bell are Morons, people signed petitions to bring back the pizza, they bring it back and don’t make enough supplies? And run out nationwide after only a month? It’s obvious they don’t listen to their customers.

Taco Bell should definitely bring back the Big Bell Burger..It was so good with it's Taco meat and lettuce and shredded cheese on soft hamburger 🍔 bun you can't beat that..And the chili cheese burritos are also good.

Mexican pizza still does it for me!
Taco Bell was My job at 15. We cooked everything back then. Our was famous for inventing items. We had an extra large flour tortilla. We made very big Burritos that 1 person couldn't eat. We also had extra large Taco shells, bell beefer, enchirito. The idiot that removed these items should be fired.
I really miss the Enchirito and the Mexican Pizza. The Enchirito with the olives!
well hells bells, I wish I would have seen this a few hours ago. I used to love the Enchirito way back when. Had I known, I would have gotten that for lunch instead of the nacho bell grande. Now I'll know to ask if they make it next time I go.
Grilled stuffed burrito and meximelt were the best. The GSB was definitely a little overpriced tho.. could buy a legit burrito with quality ingredients for $5 all day

I get the Cheesy Gordita Crunch with the Doritos shell all the time. The flavor though is weak compared to a Dorito.

Please don't order this because the guy at the drive thru register will not know what these things are and the manager will get angry because the employee doesn't know everything. You should just order a combo box but don't get carried away with having 4 of 12 tacos grilled with 2 chicken instead of beef.

Unfortunately, everytime I've politely asked for an Enchirito or Beefy Mexi Melt, employees have refused to prepare. Even when I've politely pointed out that they have all of the ingredients and how to make them, they continue to refuse by repeating, "we don't make that". However, have seen them routinely eating their own delicious concoctions using Taco Bell ingredients they have at their disposal. What a wonderful world we live in? Needless to say, since Taco Bell has removed these items from their menu, I don't eat there as often. Probably, a good thing?
Yeah it's all wonderful if you speak Spanish, the Taco Bell Employees might actually be able to understand you then. I only speak English and my local Taco Bell Employees have a hard time understanding me. This isn't a racist comment, it's just the facts. Taco Bell needs to hire only people who are proficient in English and let the non-English speakers do something else. I have the same problem with Burger King.
Could go cheap with taco bell....or go to a real Mexican restaurant and get the steak meat Verde sauce etc ... Amazing

My husband usually goes to taco bell to pick up food and he thinks that are very efficient and customer service is really good. Plus it is nice that you can order items that are no longer on the menu.
