    My understanding is you flip each piece of grasscloth as you hang it. What a dramatic transformation! The result is gorgeous!!

      Heeeey Kathy Your absolutely right flipping it would be super dramatic or you can use every other piece from different rolls...I didn't say that but I will edit the information box...Thank You for Your support...Hugs & Love to You🤗😘

      Thanks for your video. I’m wondering why I didn’t see you glue the back of your wallpaper? You added water to backside of wallpaper. Grasscloth usually doesn’t come with glue on back side of paper. Also, when you actually press grasscloth on the wall, how do you prevent glue from coming out & getting on the front side of the paper? I’m hoping you’ll see my questions. I’m going to be hanging grass cloth very soon.
      Thankyou, Marlyn

    Just make sure that everytime you hang this kind of material,you need to reversed avery other sheet,is very important otherwise every other sheet is going to look diferent color like the ones you hung on some areas. water the back of this kind of paper is very important because this material is to stiff and needs to be "relaxed" so you can work easier.is a nice grass cloth though.i am a professional paper hanger with experience of 30 ys in Houston tx and i know what I'm talking about.slaping the paper side ways is very usual if you need to move it just a bit or to acomodate better.good job !

      That’s what I noticed too…reversing the strips wasn’t mentioned and very important! Professional Paper hanger here since the late 80s : ) Also I don’t use my smoother to make cuts but a straight edge wide metal putty knife. I don’t like Shields for primer..I like Romans Pro-999 or 935.

    Looks so beautiful! I have hung wallpaper before, but not grasscloth. I am assuming that for a full length space--no windows or other "breaks" in the wall--you use full lengths. No using any pieces that are not full length--right?

    • @SouthernGirlInteriors
      @SouthernGirlInteriors  Рік тому

      Heeey ry4wy3n I'm sorry for the late response...but yes you would use full length pieces & use the shorter pieces in small areas. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🤗

    Lovely room! Question: I'd like to put up grassclothon the back of two niches which are 48" wide but the paper only comes in 36". Where would you put the seam? Thanks!

    • @SouthernGirlInteriors
      @SouthernGirlInteriors  3 місяці тому

      Hey JFanny54...it comes down to preference, if the niche has a large mirror or piece of artwork you can put the seam in the middle having 2 24" pieces of grass cloth but I prefer to put the 36" piece of grass cloth in the center & 2 6" strips on each side. It's a bit more cutting. Let me know what you decide & how it comes out.
      Hugs & Love🤗😘

    • @JFanny54

      Thanks so much for your response! This dilemma has been a sticking point in moving forward. Didn't consider the option you presented. One side does have an artwork piece and the other has a couple of shelves.
