Hey bro thanks for this video Hyundai wanted 1900 CAD for part and installing plus this and that they said 3500CAD$last week I found the part in London Ontario for 220CAD I went to my a mechanic and installed the item my self it took me 2 hours to install it now my car works fine, don't spend lots of money in mechanics search for this part and install it by your self it is more easy than what you saw in video , the only hard part is unscrewing the lower bolt , I appreciate you you brother this video saved me lots of $$
it was a 2011 sonata hybrid I have put on 6000 km since and it’s working fine, put the booster (got the brake booster from the local wrecking yard $200)in myself took 6 hours great video. The brakes would lock up message on the dash, then it would only drive 5 km an hour. The dealer Changed some fuses give it back to me acted like it they never seen it before
See you just confused me because he said a vacuum pump but you're saying a brake booster these are two different parts how can I find out which one is the problem or should I just change them both
I just got this problem on my 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid today. I'm planning to buy a used hydraulic pump off eBay and pay my mechanic to fix it. Thanks for the video.
I got a used one from eBay over the weekend and I took it to the mechanic today. We removed the old one and put the new used one but the error and the check brake sign became permanent and won't go away. Unlike the old one which I can drive for some days without the error coming up, I've been avoiding highways and getting scared that the error could come up at any time. We put back the old one and the error went away temporarily, I know it's going to show up later, it's just a matter of time. My question is that, is the new one I got from the eBay bad or there is something else wrong with this car that is making the new one work incorrectly?
@RickReviews thanks for your reply, I found out that the one I got from eBay was bad, I returned it and bought from another seller and I've been using it without any problem for 6 months. Thanks again.
Hey there, the video was of great help. But my question is can you provide a link to exactly where i can find part because I tried looking for it but I could not find it.
Hi! I have Hyundai Sonata hybrid 2013 and the ABS HYDRAULIC BRAKE PUMP turns on and off all the time, even in the car is off and parked. Can someone tell me if this is normal? I mean I can be standing next to the car and I can hear the sound that makes from time to time.
@@ebitiku3504any update? hope you resolved the problem. i have hybrid system error. replaced HPCU & HSG. still have the error. my 12v battery isn’t being charged by the system
I'm currently having this problem with my 2014 Hyundai sonata hybrid limited although when u turn the car off and back on the break comes back and wanting light goes away for a few days.
I had the same exact problem and then it became an everyday thing and now I can't drive my car and I'm thinking this is exactly what my problem is because when I turn the car on or when I step on the brake before I start the car I can hear the brake booster kicking in but for some reason I have no pressure my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor
I don’t know why there is no recall on this issue all Hyundai Sonata have the same problem, Also my car was only 40000 km and this part is damaged but cost in my country 1000 US dollar 💵, how this come it’s a very dirty company
I have been dealing with this issue for a while. The dealership completely neglected it. When I bought the car from the Hyundai dealership, the car was 54,498 miles. I drove less than 28,000 miles, and I've had this problem for some time.. I paid $23,600 and transferred the debt to a credit card. The car broke the engine and as there was a recall The Hyundai Corporation took responsibility of engine. The dealer fixed the engine and now they want $5,110 to fix Hydraulic System. (I wrote this review is of today 9.24.2021)
Nice tutorial. Too bad I found it after I had already removed the part. I installed the new but used hydraulic brake booster today. I bled the brakes good as well. I drove the car down the road for a couple minutes with no issues. An hour later I decided to take it on a further test drive. The warning light came back on and was only able to go 10 MPH or so. Any explanation for this? Could I have done something wrong in the installation, some other brake issue or could it be the used part is also bad? Any help is appreciated.
More than likely I'm thinking it would be the used part bro I'm watching this because I'm thinking about doing it myself also just want to make sure there's nothing I can get wrong when I seen they had to go to the bottom of the car to start loosening it I can lie it made me feel a little discouraged
So i had this problem i knew it was the hydraulic brake booster. I was hesitant on changing it. Does this system have built up pressure that i have to worry about when im disconnecting it?? And do i have to calibrate the new one ??
I have the same problem with a 2015 i keep getting told only hyundai can fix it because it needs to be programmed which only hyundai has this tool. What can i do? Please help me
Had same problem. Took it out and all the tools you’ll need is a 10mm socket and a 12 mm socket. You’ll need long extension socket bits because of how deep the lugs are and probably an adjustable socket
