Endoscope for inspecting cylinder condition, FLIR for quick misfire or plugged cat identification, and durability for falling out of your pocket on a creeper. This is great fit. I'd buy this in a minute for $400.....maybe next year when used options become available.

Use the FLIR to check electrical wires for different heat temperatures. Higher resistance means higher temps, and resistance should be the same throughout an electrical circuit. Mustie1 found an electrical component that was WAY too hot in a forklift, and replacing it solved the performance issues it was having. Endoscope can be used inside engines, especially to look at the piston and inside of the combustion chamber.
How do I disable the button on the left of the phone HomTom ht80 I think it’s the PTT button as I keep accidently pressing it and it loads Google Assistant which is okay but not when you get cut off when taking a picture or talking to someone. Not at all, Mine worked fine just 1 week, after that the microphone for calls stopped working. Tryied many tricks but nothing. 6 months later, customer service contacted me and tryied to solve the probem. Thats the current status.
YES. the endoscope is a must if you own a house. It saved me a lot of time and money on some of my home projects. The down side to them is that most of them have poor resolution, and the lights are not bright enough.
We have them for power generation industry use them for engine diagnostic for cooling efficiency and also for locating potential issues within electrical panels hot spots are usually an issue in the making on electrical equipment.
I'm in the automotive industry. This phone could come in handy to diagnose wheel bearings, clogs in certain systems, the scope can be used to diagnose cylinder wall damage. The fact that it's dust proof is a nice touch, I've gone through several phones with cases on due to the harshness of the work environment.
So I check the camera on my production run of armor 9. I found out and verified that it has a fake camera. When u take it apart, you can see a fake flex cable with no traces going to fake camera. Perhaps this due to chip shortage or they over promised and under delivered? Overall The phone is very good.
The case for my phone I bought years ago. It's steel with thick rubber edges. It's fallen out of my big semi a number of times and it's a Tank! My flir attaches to the bottom, where the charger attaches.

lets say you are a graduate student in a university wanting to observe a sample as it flows through an mplc/hplc system or possibly even detect defect in the system. Utilizing a hot or cold fluid relative to the tubing within and observing it on thermal could show its flow.
Thermal is not good for finding wildlife. I tried chasing a squirrel with it (CAT S60) and it didn't pick up any signs. It's not like a normal camera where you can just zoom in and have a look in the distance. What it is good for is distinguishing between an iron that's safe to pack and one that will set your home on fire. You can check for heat trapped behind your fridge. You can check for insulation issues in/near your windows.
I actually appreciate longer videos, nowdays. When I have seen everything sitting on my ass all day and crave for new content which I could watch for a little longer.

I thought about getting this phone but the part that made me decide to keep my armor7 is that fact that the armor9 doesn't have wireless charge
lets say you are a graduate student in a university wanting to observe a sample as it flows through an mplc/hplc system or possibly even detect defect in the system. Utilizing a hot or cold fluid relative to the tubing within and observing it on thermal could show its flow.

Thermal is not good for finding wildlife. I tried chasing a squirrel with it (CAT S60) and it didn't pick up any signs. It's not like a normal camera where you can just zoom in and have a look in the distance. What it is good for is distinguishing between an iron that's safe to pack and one that will set your home on fire. You can check for heat trapped behind your fridge. You can check for insulation issues in/near your windows.
I'd use for tracking down short components in a motherboard.

as an electrician I would check if any connection had high resistance and would get hot or check pcbs which components get hot.
