I think this is a perfect fit for mechanics. Endoscope for inspecting cylinder condition, FLIR for quick misfire or plugged cat identification, and durability for falling out of your pocket on a creeper. This is great fit. I'd buy this in a minute for $400.....maybe next year when used options become available.

@@Username-ld7ho Agreed! Had the Ulefone Armor 3T. After half a year the rubber started coming off from it's back as well as from all 4 corners and it was impossible to glue it back in since the material once off the body changed dimensions. No Ulefone no more.

This is a nice kit for contractors/construction/builders/remodelers as well as those that work on cars/trucks.
The heat/cold detection can see where leaks are and the scope is great for looking in holes or if you lost a bolt down in the engine compartment or in the trunk near the fenders if you are a body man.
Fire fighters or rescue type people could also use something like this, especially if you are looking for someone at night or a cat that has fallen in a hole or wall.
I almost wish I had seen this video before I bought my Note 20 Ultra.

Use the FLIR to check electrical wires for different heat temperatures. Higher resistance means higher temps, and resistance should be the same throughout an electrical circuit. Mustie1 found an electrical component that was WAY too hot in a forklift, and replacing it solved the performance issues it was having. Endoscope can be used inside engines, especially to look at the piston and inside of the combustion chamber.

Celsius and metrics are units that actually make sense. The freezing point of water is 0. The boiling point of water is 100. Simple as that. If you wonder if it's going to be icy outside, you don't have a random number to remember.

YES. the endoscope is a must if you own a house. It saved me a lot of time and money on some of my home projects.
The down side to them is that most of them have poor resolution, and the lights are not bright enough.
Be careful because criminals can use this thermal camera to get your pin number off of a credit card reader or atm machine as it's going to show where you pressed. That's why I always slide my fingers over other buttons so that more buttons show they are pressed. There was a artical on this where criminals could get a attachment for their iPhone what could do this and were trying to get people's pins.
go to atm that have lot of people or ice cold aircond..wait a few minutes before leave,check your card and money already in your wallet is also a good thing to do everytime you go to any atm..and at time like this,use finger coat is usefull.
I protect myself by swiping my hand over the keys so they all have a heat signature, then putting my debit card in my wallet, instead of handing it to the person in line behind me.

I'm in the automotive industry. This phone could come in handy to diagnose wheel bearings, clogs in certain systems, the scope can be used to diagnose cylinder wall damage. The fact that it's dust proof is a nice touch, I've gone through several phones with cases on due to the harshness of the work environment.
We have them for power generation industry use them for engine diagnostic for cooling efficiency and also for locating potential issues within electrical panels hot spots are usually an issue in the making on electrical equipment.

I could see using this as a mechanic with that endoscope option, I've used some cheapish endoscopes on cars and they overheat and die, I wonder if this thing could last in those kind of environments. Also for PC builders trying to really dial in their cooling solutions.

The case for my phone I bought years ago. It's steel with thick rubber edges. It's fallen out of my big semi a number of times and it's a Tank!
My flir attaches to the bottom, where the charger attaches.
lets say you are a graduate student in a university wanting to observe a sample as it flows through an mplc/hplc system or possibly even detect defect in the system. Utilizing a hot or cold fluid relative to the tubing within and observing it on thermal could show its flow.

I'm a maintenance man and I can find many uses for such a device in my Arsenal. It would help me find leaks for plumbing, in HVAC, hot spots of electricity and depending on how far depth of view, it could see into a wall or behind a cabinet, etc.

Not at all, Mine worked fine just 1 week, after that the microphone for calls stopped working. Tryied many tricks but nothing. 6 months later, customer service contacted me and tryied to solve the probem. Thats the current status.

Thermal is not good for finding wildlife. I tried chasing a squirrel with it (CAT S60) and it didn't pick up any signs. It's not like a normal camera where you can just zoom in and have a look in the distance. What it is good for is distinguishing between an iron that's safe to pack and one that will set your home on fire. You can check for heat trapped behind your fridge. You can check for insulation issues in/near your windows.
I'd use for tracking down short components in a motherboard.

After breaking two Samsung phones, I decided to look around for one that was tough, so almost 2 years ago I bought the Ulefone 6E. I still use this phone, no cracks, still holds a charge well, I have sat on it, dropped, it, and still runs great.
someday when I decide to get another smartphone and upgrade to 5G, I will get another Ulefone armor, for now my 6E suits my needs.
Forest fire fighters could use the FLIR when walking firelines looking for unseen hot spots ie smouldering tree roots etc that are underground and not putting out any smoke. The fire hides waiting for an increase in air temperature and some wind to bring the fire back to life.
