I would need to explore stronger research for Montessori methods. Where I live and work, I will always advocate for the current approaches to play-based learning because Montessori schools are not publicly funded so there will always be equity issues for me regarding the research that’s done locally. Play-based is embedded into the publicly-funded school systems near me so the research about it can include children from all backgrounds.
