@pastcineo because the producers were trying to make Dreamgirls Beyoncé breakout film. They severely overestimated Beyonces acting and completely ignored Jennifer until the film came out and America was like Jennifer is a star, and then she won the Oscar. Supporting because they still wanted to push Beyonce as a Leading Lady

JHud- lovely show, but you cannot talk about Dreamgirls without Jennifer Holliday. Story incomplete without Ms. Holliday! JHoll inspired all the Effie’s out there. It was her iconic performance that you mirrored- yes you made it your own too. That being said, there is a vacuum without JHoll!
