We experience our first heavy storms aboard our massive steel sailing ship.
Corrie and Eunice hit us in the first winter.
Corrie was the first violent storm we experienced, in the end of January.
With wind force 10 and up to 58 knots measured windspeed in The Netherlands it was a sever weather.
It left many households without power and caused a lot of damage.
Just two months later an even more dangerous storm approached.
Eunice, a hurricane force storm.
A code red warning was given due to expected wind force up to 65 knots.
It caused a lot of damage all over northern Europe. Many people were without power. And Eunice even caused 17 deaths.
Up to 100 kn were measured during this dangerous storm.
After experiencing gales up to 130 km/h we admire Erik Aanderaa even more, who sails in such conditions.

Just to give you an overview what this channel is all about.
We bought this massive steel trawler.
Which once was a tall Ship.
On the long run we plan to converter her back into a topsail schooner.
The timeframe for that will be 5 to 10 Years.
So we are in for a long journey.
But we already use this ship as our home.
So you can expect videos about projects, about traveling and about living on a floating refit.
