Thought I would check back in. Just blown away by the quality of your work. The audio, while you are motoring, with the flag fully extended in the background is amazingly clear. Whatever you are doing, it works great. Have you done a "how-to" video about the way you guys record and edit the shows? Probably shouldn't. Trade secrets. And the kids. They are going to write books about you guys and their adventures as a small child, and they will have the masters to prove it. I'm doing some interesting stuff, but no sailboats are involved. My friend, Bill Pinkney passed last year. 1st African American to circumnavigate the globe, alone. Looking forward to your future adventures.
You guys are going to LOVE Turkey!!! We made 2 explorations there with a motorcycle and later rented an apartment and spent the winter in Kas about 5 years ago. Nice marina there but if you can get permission to dock in the downtown (mostly commercial) harbor: even better!! If you can leave your boat for a week or longer, Cappadocia is an absolutely amazing place to explore. Turkish hospitality is pretty amazing too. SUPER nice people!!! I should also mention that Istanbul is definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!!!
@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 On the motorcycle in late 2012 (the western coast, took about a month doing that) and then in 2014. Then we rented an apartment in Kas (for three months) in the winter of 2018/2019. Highly recommend Turkey!
1st cookie is kourabiethes! Don't accidentally inhale while eating or you will have temporary death by powdered sugar. Loved making these with my Greek mama.
Brandon, your narration is always so insightful and thoughtful. I spend about four months out of the year in Greece and my observations about the country and its people mirror yours. Really looking forward to seeing your Turkiye adventures.
Night Vision Monocular - Have you considered having one? They are very affordable now, a good Bushnell is less than $300us. Great for when you pull into an anchorage at night... A Thermal Monocular would be great in fog and other times, also in the $300us price range. Both would be nice to have when looking out for pirates. 🎉
Night and thermal vision is a GREAT help ALL the time! Safety, safety, safety! A couple of flare guns and spear guns could be defensive weapons also. Be VERY careful about advertising you’re Americans! Too many radical people in those Middle East countries! Hate to say it, and I’m always the patriot, 🇺🇸, but maybe y’all should swap your USA flag for a Turkish one. Never know what someone might do while you’re away from your boat...or worse! Stay safe and healthy ⛵️🇺🇸
I love your channel and it's rapidly become one of my favourites. The photography/videography with stunning drone footage, the commentary, the storytelling, and very balanced and respectful views of the cultures you discover put the quality of your production way above all the other sailing channels'. Can't wait to see what's next for you guys!
Thank you for your great videos which showed the Mediterranean so beautiful. Thank you for sharing all of this with all of us. We left the south of France in September 2022 and we are traveling towards the Caribbean. Bon voyage
Traveling is magical. Every city, town or empty structure has a history worth while exploring. It is an experience that you will never forget. We have our memories, you will to.
Did you come to West Scotland, UK ? The Med can be unforgiving - either not enough wind, or too much. You may find the cooler air to the north more inviting and dependable, and we have a thousand places to see and plenty of shelter. And the wind blows around this Blessed Plot. And it is not crowded.
We would second that recommendation. We spent this past summer sailing in Ireland and Scotland, specifically Jura Sound and the Firth of Clyde. Brilliant place!
We've really enjoyed watching y'all this season. Everything about your videos are lovely to watch. Looking forward to the next upload. Cheers from Bama, Carlos and Mandy.
When Jordan asked how are the ladies? And Oso skipping along the edge of the boat, no life vest lol. God forbid he falls , DOG OVERBOARD ! How would they know ?
That off season almost empty port town is a timely gem * It would have been a tough decision, for me, to move on, weather window or not; the place seems simply enchanting. . . :>/
If you liked Greece as much as you did, you are in for a treat in Turkiye. Lived in Turgutreis close to the marina last year, loved it and can't wait to get back but the Shenghen shuffle caught us out...our boats still in Lefkas...roll on Spring time. Good luck and enjoy the boulevard walks with your daughter.
You guys are the best couple! There are a number of cruising couples, but not many with a new baby and a dog! I worry about the dog having a DOB (dog over board) but I'm sure doggy plays it safe. If we want to learn about the early days when you guys met, and all the work you did getting the boat ready, do you have videos that far back?
So glad you’re back and hope you had a great holiday season AND NOW-you’re on your way to brand new adventures-so happy to see you as you’ve been missed. Big Hugs!!🥰
Watching your Med episodes as we plan to head further North and East after a winter spent in Tunisia. Just waiting for a weather window to make the run over to Malta and follow in your wake.
Finally…..we’ve been checking daily for a new post. So excited to see the family again. Happy New Year🎉! Hope all is well with you and Isa ‘s appointments in USA. 🙏🩷
Great episode! I always love it when I see a glimpse of Little Washington in your vids. Sure missed you over the holidays, hope you had a wonderful visit with family. Can't wait to see what's next for y'all.
Such a touching moment when Isabella was grabbing for daddy! ❤ she is so special! Excellent scripting of your descriptions and summations of the incredible places, food, and history that you have experienced during your journeys. A great combination of docent, tourist and historian that enhances the viewers understanding and appreciation of these incredible destinations . Well done as always and thank you for inviting us once again into your family’s life and explorations! Love love love! ❤❤❤ “or what ever”😂
Hope you are enjoying your stay in Türkiye. Love your videos and your cometary. Is Oso doing okay with the stray dogs? My daughter is in Turgutries and is making friends with those dogs as she walks to the store by your marina.
2:18 Aegean sea never calms down... -espacially last couple years warming up situations, makes LOW PREssure systems comes and goes from Azor to, Anatolia, even tails up to Blacksea..as rolling and blowing from south! which is you never expect this much even in summer
Missed you guys. Hope your Holidays were relaxing and you had a much deserved break. A new adventure on tap and I am looking forward to it. As always have fun be safe and see you next week.
I've been following your adventures since the start and continue to think, you should do a book on your adventures which would be amazing to read and you have tons of video and photos. The scenery in your travels is breathtaking and the details are just as interesting. I know it's one more thing, but maybe could be a side project for the future ?? Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure with the world !
Welcome back! You were missed. I am with you when it comes to Europe and their small local stores. Give me a small locally owned store over the big box stores so rampant in the US. The food quality is so much better because they don’t genetically modify the seeds used for fruits and vegetables, not to mention the strict rules for cattle. Don’t worry Turkey has a really good bakery scene. The food is fantastic as well, although I am sure you guys have found that out by now. I lived there for two years- the southern part in a town called Mersin. Loved it and miss it. I need to get back there.
Watching your family videos is the highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing. I was looking at Isa on this video with her big smile and so tiny, I just thought, ' Honey, you are such a blessed little girl" with parents, lifestyle, pet, and love wherever she goes. What a wonderful life. With the evil we face in the States that is coming across our Southern border, and the inflation that is off the charts, life here sucks the joy right out of everyday events. Still, even if you guys have to come up with the unknown like grocery stores and other things you need, you still live a "free" lifestyle without the government taking your rights away from you.
I love your videos and missed you guys so much!! Thanks for updating us. I thought I was subscribed & I wasn’t. But now I am! This was an excellent video and it was such a nice re-cap. I am going back to the beginning to watch any videos I may have missed. Hope you are all well! 💛💥🎉
Isa has grown like a weed, she seems so comfortable aboard and we are all praying her health is adequate for this lifestyle. Thank you so much for sharing these moments in Greece, informative and the cinematography and editing is superb. Happy New Years in Turkey, we loved it there back in the day.
Just curious.. why use Schengen visa? You could have gotten, say, long stay visa in Italy and still been allowed the 90/180 in other schengen states... spending 90 or more days of the 180 in Italy then starting a new schengen. Most of the countries would let you get a long-stay.. Greece even has Digital Nomad visa valid for 1 year extendable to 3.
The USPS has sent my Christmas gift from my son (in Ohio) to Turkey instead of Florida. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Can you grab it and bring it to me? 😂😂😂 I’d probably get it faster from you guys! 🤣🤣 Enjoy the journey! It’s good to see you back! I was wondering when you’d have another video on. 💜❤️🐝🔮⚡️⛵️
Another fantastic video. The quality just keeps getting better and better! Is it just me or is Isabella getting prettier by the episode and her personality is really shining. Wish this one was longer otherwise it was perfection 🤗💞
Very enjoyable. Just a note wrt agents. Typically use an agent for Turkey but do it yourself in Greece. Yes a long time cruiser. Have a good time in Turkey
Greece having a "robust economy", that was really funny. They have a debt to gdp ratio at 166%, absolutely worst in Europe. That is about 8 times worse compared to the good ones.
My earlier concern about Turkey was leaving and red tape as our service members are restricted to base due to violence because many nato countries left their bases. We have gotten friendlier with Greece, more bases as we did during the Cold War, Turkey not amused. Will you dry dock and do some work in the cooler weather on the bottom? I like Evia island nearly connected to the mainland, 15 eu a day compared to the west side mainland,Athens, 130-200 a day all for docking, not dry dock. An hour to Athens or skiing via fast trains. So much to see from Chalkis that connects the island. I lived all over Greece for years. Best wishes.
If your daughter is an EU citizen with EU passport, the 90/180 rule doesn't apply to you. It doesn't apply to family members of an EU passport holder. My wife and children are all Irish passport holders whereas I'm a British passport holder, I spend over 6 months in the EU with my wife every year. Schengen just applies to EU internal borders, not external. Europe is a continent with 50 countries in it, including parts of Russia - the EU is a trading bloc of only 27 countries.

So pleased to see you are no longer med mooring Virgins 😅 hopefully we'll see you soon take care❤ ben and Louise
Your production quality for every video is really impressive. The sights, the narration....Really excellent. This one particularly. Bravo...
Wow a year and a half? Feel like just yesterday you were painting your mark in the Azores.
Happy you have returned. You guys have been missed.

Love you all safe travels ❤
Great stuff guys! As always of course. I can't wait to see where you take us next. Whatever and wherever we go I can't wait. Best from AK NZ
Jordan…if you LOVE culture. Come to Asia! China, for example, has over 4,000 years of culture still remaining! It’s like stepping back in time!!
Safe Travels... Enjoy !
Holy crap 3:58 is that the same place they filmed the Chateau D'if from the movie The Count of Monte Cristo??
When Jordan asked how are the ladies? And Oso skipping along the edge of the boat, no life vest lol. God forbid he falls , DOG OVERBOARD ! How would they know ?
Missed you and glad to see that you are well.❤❤❤
Very entertaining video 📹 👏. We missed you over the weeks. Welcome 🙏 back. Will see you on the next one 😊.
Wow….changing diapers while sea sick!! That’s got to be next level….😂😂
Lol for sure
Thankyou 😊
That off season almost empty port town is a timely gem * It would have been a tough decision, for me, to move on, weather window or not; the place seems simply enchanting. . . :>/
@5:10 ya but you aren't packing up all your possessions every 6 months or every time you have to move. you have that part fairly easy.
If you liked Greece as much as you did, you are in for a treat in Turkiye. What's the name of the Greek town where you did the Med mooring alone?
Missed you guys. Hope your Holidays were relaxing and you had a much deserved break. A new adventure on tap and I am looking forward to it. As always have fun be safe and see you next week.
Nice Cap Bro!, I was born in Mountain View, could be in Cruz in an Hour, grew up there
We missed you guys! Hope the holidays were good to your family!
What a lovely retrospective of your time in the Med. Looking forward to more! (Your family makes me happy. 😎🥰)

Finally a normal Saturday morning. Hope you guys had a great Christmas!
another perfect vid. Please be careful there. Been there done that. used to be leather was very cheap. :) just an old sailor.

The main and sailing culture are non political usually. Makes traveling the world safe. But keep up to date with the news. We sailed in the 90's

With all these countries you have sailed too, has there been any issues with Isso? No quarantine for the pup?
Really enjoyed your sailing tour of Europe and your honest reflections, but most of all watching Isa grow up and SMILE! Thank you.

Hi, most didn't live by the water because of pirates back in the day and hid in the Mt villages
Beautiful. Peace and Joy to you.
another beautiful episode. Excited to see the next leg of your journey.
