I agree with the "he isn't crying and no broken bones...you did fine!". I was super anxious with my first one (8yo now). With my second (2yo) a day with no ER visits is a win in my book!
I don't know if it's actually a Midwest thing, but how many people have said " just let them play.
Same here!!
Midwest here
Ah Yes, the Midwest parent. Overprepares for everything.
@@curtisfranzen986 yes. Yes we do. Midwest parent here
As someone who works in a daycare center: 'little Johnny' is the model child that all the teachers hope for
Omg, I do babysitting part-time now. They are lovely and disastreous the same time.
I totally agree with you!
I love how Johnny cleaned up his mess at the end. My kids are grown and they still don't do that! 🤦♀️😂
Our family does not clean messes either!
My sons dad doesn’t even clean up his messes either. 😒🙂
I always felt sorry for Moms who cleaned up after their kid/s. I also feel sorry for wives who clean up after their husbands. I taught my son to clean up after himself, and made it clear to any man who wanted me in his life that housework was a “we” thing, not a “me” thing.
@@AlbertaRose94 I try so hard to put my foot down on this subject. I have even gone on “strike” but i doesn’t stress anyone else out like it does me. I have ADHD and a messy house really kinda makes my negative symptoms worse. So I keep “teaching” to clean up after yourself but I think it’s just gonna always be me teaching…..Threats work pretty well. (They know I’m serious too because they have lost toys to goodwill and the trash before.🤷♀️)
@@leslieroycroft3569 That works. It’s important both parents role model to the child/ren to pick up after themselves.
What a little cutie. He is very talented. I saw Kim having a hard time not to just smile at him the whole time.
He is adorable, but toddlers do take so much energy. I love seeing him pick up the things he threw and how much fun he and Sunny were having together.
I love that he wasn't a terror, just a kid. And now I could really go for a pączki.
I loved the “Wow you’re eating the ranch with a spoon. Those Midwest genes run deep” 😂😂😂
Kim: “Let’s just don’t go anywhere”
Johnny: “Ya”
Lol this is hysterical
Now we need Penn babysitting!
Actually, that would be hilarious. Like, Kim being wrangled into babysitting again, and then she demands Penn watch the child instead, so she can get things done.
I can provide the baby, my 2-month-old, for a few hours!
Yes! That would be ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!
Yes, please!!
Please please let it happen 🙏
Little guy was so unfairly maligned - so glad they showed the true little person in the outro. 😁 But, then again, they did cast him for the video so they must've known he was pretty cooperative and well behaved to begin with. 😸
After he's had a good nap and some lunch! :D
No kidding, he was a sweetheart!
I didn’t see him being maligned. He was just being a normal toddler and he wasn’t being abnormally destructive. I think the fun part was how Kim had forgotten what it was like to have a toddler!
@@propheticoasis I meant how in real life he apparently appears to be better behaved than the character he was intended to portray. 😜
I love the honesty in this video. Namely how a lot of things were exaggerated or manipulated and the reality is he’s a good kid who has been taught to clean up after himself.
Love how he is actually a very well behaved little sweetheart !
His quietness and confusion during the car seat install! 😂😸
I really resonated with the “my older ones just watch screens”- I have two older kids and one 2 almost 3 year old and even though I hate them watching screens so much I absolutely get nothing done when my toddler is around. The other two will be golden for some screen time but my toddler would rather destroy the house constantly then watch one of her four shows she has deemed worthy of her attention. I know it’s great she is so busy but I get very little done and it’s exhausting. 🤣
Just wait till while she doing all this she starts asking you what your doing what's that, why's this what did you get in addition to the running.
@@majormana1 Oh such a fun stage. 😵💫
It’s about boundaries and teaching them the importance of doing work.
Remember though when we were 2-3 and it was still the 80s and the only "screen" we had was the TV? We'd get bored on that real quick and our parents would just send us to our room to play by ourselves, sometimes my mom would just give me a brush and tell me to brush the dog and I did it because it made me feel "grown up"...they never thought twice about having to entertain us
Omg loved this! That infectious little laugh with Sunny, reminded me of the older videos with PC! So cute!
That was the most accurate thing I have ever seen. I watch my two year old grandson and a friends little boy that is the same age and I have them both two days a week together, just imagine what that is like 🤣🤣🤣
I hope you have strong coffee
@@theholdernessfamily 🤣🤣🤣 I do!
Oh my gosh he was picking up the note cards off the floor!!!! Oh he is just too precious!!!! What a fun day!!!😊
The ending with him. picking back up the cards had me 😭😭😭. He's sooo precious ☺️
I recently realized I basically blacked out my kids early years and especially infancy. Mine are 7 now and we watched our neighbors newborn, like fresh fresh baby because her husband got in a car accident and we had that thing for like 3 days and WOW! I thought one would barely be noticeable because I had already done it with two at once.
Not all babies are built the same, and if you don't have two you can't lay them next to each other and make them hug to get them to stop screaming. Sometimes a certain baby just has zero chill. God saw fit to humble me with the experience. Lol
@@booksandtea1989 if it helps I have been over and completely stumped on how to help other than just bring him to my house to complain away from his mom a few times a week.
Also, if you ever wondered if type A perfectionists are born that way, they are and the baby next door has unreasonable expectations for all of us including himself.
@@booksandtea1989 I am suspicious I don't actually like children other than mine and I DEFINITELY don't like babies. I didn't like my kids until they were well over a year. I distinctly remember feeling like a God awful person for hating every second of the infant stage even though they were relatively chill babies. It's just so stressful. Babies are soooooo fragile and it takes so long for them to crisp up. I'm glad I got two at once. I don't think I'd have been pregnant and done the infant stage again. It simply was not for me, lol.
i swear parents block out everything before 7 once child hits 7.
@@majormana1 I'd fund a study on this. Lol
@@booksandtea1989 one time my husband and I were at a school event for our then middle schooler. A lady at our table that we didn't even know handed her newborn-ish child to my husband and said " hold him for a sec, I just gotta go pee." I always thought it was weird that she chose him over me, but I guess I might have been sending vibes that babies freak me out.
“I mean I got nothing done today” that made me feel so much better for feeling this everyday. (I have an almost 3 yr old and a 6 yr old)
Oh and I’m 45 so my energy train barely keeps up with their energy jet-engine-rocket-power-super energy
Ditto!!!
@@alisonbrandon9059 ❤️
Paczkis are a huge fattening donut, basically. Fat Tuesday is what they call it in Michigan. Great video. The Ranch dressing references are spot on. 🤣
Mmmm... I love Paczkis. I live in a neighborhood that has a considerable amount of Polish descendants [my household is only one of 2 in my neighborhood that is NOT from Polish descendants]. My older kids LOVE ranch... ugh, I have to buy the giant bottles frequently.
Looks like Sunny had the best time ever with filming, and would be happy to babysit again! Kim, on the other hand...
Haha this was so cute!! And little Johnny is flat out adorable
Kim, Kim, Kim...you have the greatest solution ever at your disposal. PENN! Penn has ADHD, so he has the energy to keep up. Plus, Penn would play fun little games with him for hours. PLUS, you could send them both outside to play! Crisis solved! You're welcome. Lol!
Severe ADHD here, yes! ADHD and little kids - instant buddies.
This is so accurate it hurts lol!! I think the reason I’m good as a preschool teacher is because of my ADHD! 🤣
Can you imagine Penn outside with this little guy? They’d both get distracted and we wouldn’t find them for hours! 😂 end up on a hike in the woods watching wild animals or something 🤣
LOL! Although when he was a toddler I didn’t know my son had AD/HD, I did notice he *loved* fun little games and would contentedly play with them while I did housework.
My oldest is 30 and I recently babysat for a friend whose 2 kids are 3 and 4; needless to say, I totally relate to this! You forget the energy you need to keep up with littles and are suddenly reminded why you're happy you had kids when you were younger 😅 I made the 4 year old cry playing hide and seek because she couldn't find me! 🤦 😬
It's easy to forget after a while isn't it? Mine are 20, 18, and 13.
It's why it's best to have those babies when we're in our 20s!
those are preschoolers and yeah they insane
@@Machtyn Yep... that's what I did.
Lol, my Mom told me there's a reason God made children/child raising a young persons job.
Yes! Please train my 2 teenagers how to clean up after themselves. 😂 Such a cutie pie!
Change the WiFi password or get a program that enables you to restrict screen time. Also hide the remotes to various electronics.
"We don't talk about Bruno, No no..." Just watched that with my granddaughter!! :) Took us three continues to finish! Love your videos!!
“He’s picking it back up!” -Pen
What a doll!
“Enchanto?” “FINALLY” 😭😂😂😂
“I got nothing done today” uuuuggggg my liiiife 😫😑😂
“I got nothing done today” truest statement EVER when you’re in charge of a toddler!!😂
He is so adorable
Cleaning up after he makes a mess, what a little sweetie!
that reminds me of my son at that age. so much energy and I was OLD for a first time mom. He's 27 now and the best son a widow could have.
"Can you come back and teach our teenagers how to do this?" Oh yeah. He's a cutie, and, oh my gosh, how quickly we forget toddlerhood!
I needed this little bit of joy! Thank you! 👍🏼😁
The little guy playing with the golden retriever, is totally my lil guy when he's at my moms. Lol
Aaww he’s supposed to be the bratty toddler but he’s picking up the stuff on the floor! That’s so cute!🥰
best video yet. now we need a sequel where kim gets roped into babysitting again and then she pawns it off on penn. i would love to see mr adhd try to babysit a toddler. then we need another sequel where kim and penn gets roped into babysitting but they had plans so they get there teens to babysit. i feel like the teens would just keep trying to pass the toddler off to one another then try hiding so they didnt have to take a turn watching the toddler but suprise the toddler is a master at finding them.
I have 5 kids so I've raised a lot of toddlers. The youngest is now 14. I babysat for my friend's 18 month old recently and I don't remember it being that difficult! Still easier than teenagers, though...More hands (and eyes) on the target, but less emotional drama.
My son was a late talker. I look at other toddlers and realize as difficult as speech therapy was, as well as dealing with him attempting to tell me what was wrong while getting death glares from people in a store or restaurant, perhaps having a later talker wasn’t such a bad thing.
He reminded me of P.C. at 4:12 with his laugh😂😊
His laughter is so delightful ❤️
toddler laughter is the thing that makes toddlers worth it when you're exhausted from chasing them around
When he picked up💙 so sweet
Love this! My husband is from Raleigh. My oldest daughter, son in law, and I are NCSU grads. (No blue of any kind here). We are foster parents and currently have a two year old boy. This is so relatable!!! Thanks for your content. Rooting for you on The Amazing Race, too!
That is one of the best toddlers I've ever seen!! What a good little boy!!!! So adorable
He’s a cutie. Perfectly normal kid. Tough being babysat at a house without small kids anymore, but he did fine!
"He's not crying, no broken bones, that is better than most of our babysitters" WOW, what kinda babysitters do they have in that area?
Yeahhhhh, when you have a toddler like that and leave him with a babysitter, trust me no crying, no broken bones when you return home or return to pick up your toddler from a neighbours. Is considered a good time.
😂😂😂
That exhausted me!
😂😂😂
I think Sunny has a new bff. 🥰
He is sooo adorable. And so helpful!!!
That kid is just living his best life on film day. 😂 And poor Kim just wants to watch Encanto in peace.
That little boy was so adorable.
What a darling kid! I have two granddaughters and I love visiting them. But every time they leave our house (or when we leave theirs) we both breath a huge sigh of relief. I loved being a Mom--it was my entire life for a very long time. But OMG! Those girls are a lot! They're well-behaved because their parents are doing a great job. But they never stop moving. LOL.
Lol! Kim truly ACTING like she was bugged by the kiddo..❤️
While the main feature put a smile on my face, I loved the outtakes of the little boy picking up the papers he just threw on the ground. So sweet.
Awwww, so much cuteness in that little boy...and him playing with the doggo :)
As the mom of a 10 and 15 year old I just realized I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WOULD DO WITH A TODDLER AGAIN… this was awesome and so relatable!!
"You're eating Ranch with a spoon. Those Midwest genes run deep." 😆
It's amazing how fast you forget! I currently have a 6 yr old, and I watched my friends' 4 yr old recently...it completely wore me out! My kids must have been low energy and laid back!
Oh my gosh I forgot all that. And I'm so so thankful I forgot all that. I love having older kids. Thank you, kids, for being older now. Phew.
So glad you showed the cute little guy at the end. =)
Haha!! I have a 7yr old and toddler. My friend came over with her newly crawling baby and I forgot how stressful THAT is.
OMG that was the cutest! Put the biggest smile on my face, thanks I needed that. ❤️
The end scenes of “Little Jonny” picking up the post it cards is absolutely adorable! 🥹
Who is that young man. He’s so precious
I watched a toddler not too long ago and she did the same thing, ran around the house with my dog. It was great! Both dog and kid eventually fell asleep and napped!
‘I got nothing done today’ so true!
Sometimes, it’s a win if everyone is still in one piece at the end of the day.
This is my life. Everyday! Only I'm not babysitting. 😂
Every. Single. Day. A 3 year old and 1 year old here.
Haha, I have a two year old and my friend needed me to babysit her 7 month old for a day and I was like holy moly I forgot how much work this is!
The little one was PERFECT!!! Great job.
I love how she ran away so fast. I felt that 😂
3:52 "I got nothing done today." Isn't that the statement of the century?!
TOTALLY ADORABLE!!!!
O My GOODNESS How Precious is this lil Darling ❤ Looks just like his Mommy ❤ Wish I had his energy for Sure 😁
Love how he picks up his mess at the end! 🤣🤣
The first 30 seconds of this video bring back memories of my mom and her sisters talking at family gatherings. She's polish and from Michigan, and those were all words that were common back home.
Soooooo cute! He's so wonderful!
Can we have a "day in the life of Sunny"?
More midwest neighbor! Luv her. Johnny, what a good boy and cutie!!
The bloopers are the best. Awwww.
I have a little home daycare. This is incredibly accurate! These kids are great at picking out movies and not watching them. 🙂
Ok, he is the cutest! :) That laughter at the end was like icing (ranch?) on the cake! :)
I have a 22m old.. you missed the part where they have a melt down for absolutely no reason 😂
LOVE the Midwest slang! 🤣🤣 Rigamarole! I have heard that recently too!
Things that are so normal until you leave the midwest. Even some of the sayings I heard growing up in WI my husband who grew up in Ohio and MI never heard them.
I'm originally from California and my hubby is Midwest born and bred. First time I ever heard hubby say the word "rigamarole" I was completely confused. lol
Been living in the Midwest for 13yrs and I now talk like them. 🤣
@@katysmith3379 I had no idea until tonight that "rigamarole" is a Midwestern word!
That was great!
"Can you come back and train our teenagers how to do this?"
But Seriously, Johnny is adorable!
I have one just like him. Just turned 3. Thank heavans! He's sooo busy, sometimes a lil too helpful and cute or he wouldn't get away with so much.
Adorable little guy!
Rig-a-ma-roll Hahahha.....yep we say that up here!
Dog: Is... can I play with him? Is that ok?
"Rigama-what? LOL. A true Midwestern word.
You have got to get sunny a little boy. Look how much fun she is having!
Loved this video and just have to say Johnny is so, so cute! And he picked up his own little mess!! Adorable!
Kims uncertainty is so hilarious and relatable😂
What an adorable sweet lil guy,
Ohhhhh that was a good one!!!! Well done!!
thanks for watching
The SWEETEST little boy ever!!😊❤ so stinking cute ❤❤ would love to see a part 2 of this lol as a mom with 3 teenage daughters (18,16, and 14) all at home, every single time I have my toddler niece over I totally feel the same way lol like I forgot how to handle a little one hahaha, thank you so much for sharing ❤😊👍👍
better than most our babysitters 🤣
I remember how to do everything, but it really takes so much energy that I just don't have anymore!!!! ♥️. little kids are so cute and the best!!!
I totally get this! Once your kids become teenagers and mostly sefl-sufficient, it's like you've blocked out everything from their toddler years. My son is 15YO, and I can't even imagine dealing with a toddler again right now. LOL
I am 42 with a 2 year old son and I work from home. This is accurate 🙌
I'm a nanny and my kid is already 7! I can't wait to get a new baby. I miss them.
He is SO ADORABLE!!!!
This video validated me so much. Taking care of a 3 year old is a lot of work. Thankfully, most girls are calmer than boys at that age.
I love the edit of him just running in the house
Literally how I babysat my nephews, both under 4, for an entire week....don't complain to me about not sticking to some insane schedule in half hour increments or how screen time is the devil. Your kids were fed, watered, had naps...at some point...and they're still alive.
