Shine on you crazy diamond... I was only going to watch a minute of this video right now (I'm in the middle of something else) but couldn't stop, and then you slipped into Pink Floyd and I was in for the full 17 mins. Great sounding little box. Oh and yes... BIG COLOUR KNOBS.
As a total beginner, I'd love to have you as a teacher. I enjoy your shows so much, each time I think several times, synths are so much fun, you radiate that from your core! To me you are like the Bob Ross of Synthesizers! Now i must catch up on some more vids of you!
@@soysos.tuffsound I was talking with both of you towards the end of the day. It was a pleasure to chat with you. Pittsburgh Modular company has come a long way.
Doctor Mix! You utterly failed, just before 8:00, to play Scotland the Brave! 😂 Of course, what it played instead was beautiful! What I was hoping you’d show some more of the modular capabilities. But even just the little bit you did yielded some pretty great results! The only thing about it is it’s not really differentiated from what you would/could have done with ye olde Minimoog or whatever semi/mono synth. But I’ll never get tired of the Disco Italiano no matter how you do it! 😍
Another inspiring video! Thank you. I love the music you created/found with this synth. A joy to watch you explore the possibilities, while the uniqueness of the synth led you down some less-traveled paths. And I realize there are many features still to uncover. Definitely considering the Taiga.
What i like about Taiga... it have the sound of modular without a single patch cable and also have big convenient encoders (i hate all them tiny knobs especially when there's a cable sits riiiight next to it and buzzes in your speakers everytime you touch it). I'm not gonna buy another mono synth anytime soon but if i was i would buy exactly that one.
I was really considering semi-modular when shopping for a new mono-synth. But decided on something with a mod matrix instead, so I can save everything.
@@soliv27Actualy Pink Floyd is like our atmosphere on Hearth, all of us breathe or breathed it one day. So it's obvious that we all have a part of it in our brain.
@@FLH3official I agree, Mink Floyd has something several generations already share. What about Chemical Brothers? 90's great tunes, I like, U used to love, blissish chilloutish like Asleep from day, Sunshine underground, and several others. Funny pieces like Lost in the K-hole were good too. Have they been too much listened ? I guess maybe Dr Mix try not to be too greedy with either deep transe or nostalgia tunes. It's just a feeling.
I think this is a really nice take on the semi/modular axe. Having a very serviceable, classic, standalone synth _with_ the built-in Eurorack chassis is a great middle-ground starter synth between offerings like the Matriarch/Grandmother on the one hand and the Doepfer/NiftyKeys, &c u-fill-it format on the other.
A built in sequencer [ even a simple one] would have been perfect. It would free up the right side for - lets say - a couple of complex lfos and a Wasp filter

Hey Doc have you ever had trouble having the equipment on top of each other could cause electrical damage couldn't it 🤔great vid got to love electric piano❤
Safe bet that Doc is aware that damage like that is possible and He takes the proper precautions to prevent it. Plus those systems are built/shielded to deal with being stacked like that .

Its amazing how you always manage to let the stuff shine more than one expect it actually could!!
The Taiga looks lovely and fits perfectly with that Rhodes and a bit of reverb. I'd imagine it pairs with just about anything.
BIG COLOR KNOBS!!!!!!!!!!
😂😂

Love the bag pipes at 7:40!
I think I hear shades of War of the Worlds at around 15:50. Fantastic review, you have so much energy and clearly love what you do 😊
First machine in years that actually immediately grabbed me by the throat, brain and heart! AWESOME. I will spent my last 1200,- on that one for sure!
9:53 That groove, love the 808 🟥🟧🟨⬜ Perfect with the TAIGA imho
02:48 You absolutely nailed one of the Rick Wakeman Journey to the centre of the earth tones. You are awesome Claudio.
I swear pure magic is being worked before my eyes and ears.
Great sounds from the Taiga! I met the guys from Pittsburgh Modular at a synth show in Akron in 2012. Awesome song Doctor Mix!
I was there with Richard!

Absolutely amazing, Claudio!!!
Really fun video, dude - thanks for introducing us to a very cool synth.
There's again some Pink Floyd @13:31, am I right? Great groove!

thats a fascinating look for a synthesiser. i dig it
Sounds wonderful... has a big big sweet spot.... deep sounds and gorgeous filter response.... wish it had memories though!

Forget about the sound. That's a work of art!
Big Colour Knobs :)
THis is on my wishlist (replaced the desktop unit). Love it!
Amazing journey, felt like seeing a great movie of the new worlds, just be listening the soundscape he created!
Oh man I love these Rhoder voicings 😁
what a pleasure to watch and listen to you experiment!
amazing sounds and a track you talk about in 1000 years...great skillscreate great songs....ah and the synth is a beast at all...
Incredible player ❤making that synth talk.
11:20 well, these 4 notes come from "Shine on you Crazy Diamond " at 3'55 (Wish You Were Here, Pink Floyd, obviously) 😉
About 4:29 you can hear like the elevator of Welcome to the machine!
A bit later On the run from Dark Side of the moon...😊

Big Colour Knobs! Reminds me of my first ever synth, namely the Italian Jen SX-1000 with it's original BIG COLOUR knobs!!
Big color knobs, but I was really impressed by this synth. What a treat to fiddle around with... Thank you for making this video!
Love the BIG COLOR KNOBS. ❤ Seriously though, it has a real Star Trek Original Series vibe!
This synth is a FUCKING INSTRUMENT.
So expressive……. I’m blown away
love the creativity my friend
DARUDE!
O, it was so cool groove in the end!
Geweldige atmosfeer .. niet voor hedendaagse “producers” maar wij zeggen dank u!
Genius! You sold a Taiga Keyboard now!
As soon as you started playing, the sound made me think of Sandstorm.

In the mix with that triple knob technique!
You can make magic with everything and anything.
What kind of stand is holding the Prophet 5 and Moog Model-D?
(and the Non Linear Labs C15)
Lots to work with in that new box. 😎 too the tenth.
just a minute or two before the sandstorme bit .it was making acid sounds😍
It looks like Nectar was poured into a synthesizer mold...and sounds like awesomens!
Technically it´s a modyfied Cre8audio NiftyKEYZ with a build in Pittsburg Taiga synth.
I love your taste and this synth seems to match it so DARUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!
...please...
BIIGGG DARRUDEEE!
What a big and noice Sound Machine this is
Would be cool to do a modern interpretation of Riders On The Storm with the Rhodes and Taiga synth combo! 🤘
WOW, I'd definitely want to heat THAT too !
Looking to pickup the desktop version along with the East Beast & West Pest from Cre8audio
You upped the production quite a bit, great ear when playing the delay 😮
I have the Taiga desktop. Very awesome synthesizer. The percussion sounds on this is too good. Debating getting this or nifty keys
So great bro! Love the tunes too!!
Cool jam, Claudio 🎉❤❤❤❤
Kinda reminds me of Alan Parsons
Big colour knobs ❤💙🤍
DARUDE🤩🤩🤩
I'm glad I've found your amazing UA-cam channel ☺☺
Next please DARUDE! 🙂Great video!
WOULD LOVE TO SE YOU DO DARUDE WITH SOME OF YOUR NEWER SYNTHS I SEEN YOUR OLD RE-MAKE. WAS AMAZING.
Sounds killer

It would be interesting see you testing the valente electric piano
Отличный синтезатор, спасибо за видео 👍🙏🙏🔥🎶♥
I'm so glad your Rhodes served as more than a table in this video.
That Rhodes Electric Piano melded beautifully with that Taiga Synth !
Between The Taiga and The Rhodes.... that's a winner.... winner... chicken dinner... sound and setup!
Fun!!! Analog synths aren't going anywhere, baby!
Great synth, Lovely groove
Very nice synthesizer! Very nice track!
Great and awesome unboxing of an inspireing synthesizer,.
remarkable live skill!!!!!

YOU ARE THE KING 🤴
very hi-nrg bass track, almost 70'ish :-D
Great music. And I would love a Darude version

1:13 - 1:42 .... the Bassline reminds me to "Killer" 🐕, by Adamski !
Great show again! Thanks!
Tiago can make new upgrade with Air blow pipe configuration and Mic input for synthesizing human sound. 😊
that was a beautiful jam.
Hi, does the intro music have any authors? What is his name? Thank you
