If you use the better grades of diesel you will get better mpg. The supermarket stuff is pants, you can add a fuel conditioner and that can help a lot as well as clean the fuel system. Having said that 33 mpg > is pretty good going for a brick on wheels
My 90" Td5 would average 30/32mpg which was mainly a mix of town and country roads, a good few years ago l was a front seat passenger in a friends 90" non turbo diesel on a trip up north to the lake district on M1 and M6, he reckoned he'd got around 36mpg at an average of 55mph so your 110 did really well.
Very respectable fuel consumption 👍🏼 I also have a 200tdi 110..would be interesting to compare fuel economy when on bush tracks/greenlaning basically offroad compared to on road..

I was shocked by how well it did. I will put the expensive fuel in once I serviced her and do the run again. I'm aiming for 44mpg next time.
Excellent Mate👏👏👏

Now that's and idea! Just need somewhere big enough to burn a tank of fuel without driving in circles.
I wonder what the MPG (L Per 100 KM) would be in Western Australia where most open roads are 110 KPH (60 MPH) and thousands of KM long
I'd be keen to get there and test it out. On my bucket list!
Your 200tdi CSW gets better mpg than my 90 and about the same as my TD5.
Be good to do a comparison between mine and your defender MPG wise, as I’ve also thought the TD5s would get “way” better MPG.
I feel a challenge coming on.... fancy joining and making a video? Loser has to wash the winners car!
The Orange Defender sounds like a challenge to me, as long as we take into account your larger tank 🤨
