An easy walk in Sarek

- An easy hike on the north side of the Rapa Valley in Sarek National Park in Sweden in early September 2021.
I reached Skárjá the day before after crossing the Ráhpajåhkå river. Skárjá is probably the most chic place in all of Sarek. It offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and valleys, it has a unique waterfall, two huts and even an outhouse - which is a must as there are quite a few hiking trails through Skárjá. In one hut you will find an emergency telephone, the second hut offers a USB charging station. The summer bridge is a nice feature too.
There is a good path from Skárjá to the lake Bierikjávrre, no rocks, no brushwood, no stress. The river Tjåggnårisjåhka coming from the glacier is normally not that easy to cross, but the water level is quite low in September.
All in all, it was by far the most relaxing day of all the ten days of the hike.
Vladislav, thanks for a very nice movie 😀👍
Oh, thank you so much :)
Thank you for watching :)
Really beautiful.Thank you very much !!!!
Thank you for watching :)
I've been watching your Sarek videos multiple times. Great stuff! Based on landscape colors I'm guessing you were there in mid September? Edit: I see now that you wrote early September in the description 🤦
Thank you 😊 Mid September would be almost the same colors I guess, so your assumption was not far from the truth.
Unfassbar!
:) danke
Can you show on the map where's place from 1:49 ? Please :)
This is Skárjá. You can easily find it as many paths lead there in Sarek. Look here: 67.377436, 17.644264
@@vladislavsergeew Thank You ! :)
Was this in the beginning of september this year?
Yes
@@vladislavsergeew i guess we met you at the renverstuga after boarek
We were a group of five...
@@splerkeveld2308 it looks like :) you are the group from Belgium, right? I am glad you managed to get through the snow safe and sound! Tough thing :)
@@vladislavsergeew we sure did! You managed quite well yourself we can see in the video!
Ahh... so seems like you went from Rapadalen -> Skierfe, then you went East to ~Vietas?
I started in Kvikkjokk, then went via Pårek, then took the bridge over Gadokjåhkå, then continued on the south side on Rapadalen to Dielmáskájdde, crossed the river, went on the west side of Rapadalen up to Skárjá, crossed the river, from Skárjá to Bierikjávrre, from there via Guhkesvágge to Suorva. There was literally nothing in Suorva, so I went further to Vietás (Stora Sjöfallet Mountain Lodge).
@@vladislavsergeew I see. Any chance you're gonna post the river crossing in Dielmáskájdde?
How difficult is south Rapadalen? I'd imagine that it's not better then North Rapadalen (which is also pretty bad), but from far away it seemed a little better.
@@levb.7338 It is here ua-cam.com/video/7HzFOtX6jwo/v-deo.html
This is the south side. I cannot compare it to the north, but all Swedes I met in Sarek said it is the most difficult area there. Not necessarily dangerous but really exhausting and annoying.
