Hiking Sarek - 2021 - Ritsem to Saltolukta

In late July of 2021, we decided to hike what is known as The Last Wilderness of Europe. Sarek National Park, located above the Arctic Circle in the deep North of Sweden, is a special place.
Just getting here takes (at least) 2 days. However, the long road pays off. With deep mountains, wide valleys, and untouched nature and wildlife, Sarek is Europe's largest and oldest National Park. There is no cell phone reception, no amenities, and no help. Anything you need, you must bring with you. If an emergency does occur, any help is at least a 2 day walk. And this is what makes this place special. Here you are truly alone, and one-on-one with nature.
We hiked approximately 130km, from Ritsem to Saltolutka.
