Hello again. My van was a year old when I bought eighteen months ago. Came without spare wheel so bought the spare wheel kit from a Vauxhall dealer. It took half hour to fit, just have to jack van up one side to allow bracket to fit into locating holes. For driving, storage space etc this is still the best van I've ever owned. BUT I've never had so many niggly things go wrong with my previous four Transits (two Connects, two full size) and Renault. 1/A small metal prong at rear of sliding door has broken off. It used to locate into a Hole in door frame. 2/Heating/cooling fan decides when it wants to work. No matter what speed is selected it does it own thing including not working at all. 3/Like wise with aircon. With the aircon light on it decides if it wants to provide cold air. Sometimes works straight away or not for ten or more minutes. 4/Cabin heating. With the display showing a minus outside temperature it does not blow hot air until temperature control is turned up three clicks past 21c. 5/'High Clutch Temperature' message appears on screen. It can come on within a minute of starting engine or an hour or more later. I've done 30.000miles. 6/ My van is black but the base coat must be white because the slightest scratch shows as a white line.
Great review I have bought the exact Le Nav in grey for my window cleaning business . I collect it next Saturday can’t wait after seeing this review cheers 👍
@@WeBlogAnyCar Thank you it’s a 2019 plate with 25000 miles and balance of manufactures warranty till april 2022 and being the 2300 version it can carry just shy of a ton . I’ll be having fitted a 500 litre tank for my water which the van will easily handle unlike the Ford transit connect . Your review cemented my decision that the combo would be the right choice for my business . I’m even travelling from Essex to Swindon where the dealer is to collect can’t wait cheers 👍
Surroud rear vision - DO NOT PURCHASE THAT THING - every time you switch on the car key - YOU NEED TO ACCEPT that you acknowledge the risk of using it. Opel means that you are like computer - every time you switch off the car you turn off your memory (loose the knowlege of that risk) so when you turn the carkey again you have to confirm message that you`ve already seen thousand of times !!! Imagine that you start your car 10 times a day - do you get a picture how annoing it is ? And the most curious thing is that if you want to change the view from rear to right side (camera under right mirror - European version) you have to do it AGAIN WITH BUTTON near the screen ( you have to reach with hand while you drive) ONLY IN OPEL. In other sibling cars (Peugeot, Toyota and Citroen ) you can do it WITHOUT TAKING HAND OFF THE STEERING WHEEL. ONLY BY PRESSING A BUTTON ON INDICATOR SHIFTER !!! Not in Opel :( And if you pick this system you do not have a rear view on a big 8" screen with better perspective - no no no !!! Yu have it on a lot smaller 3" screen !!! So once again - CONSIDER - if you need to make your blood pressure higher and you can't drink coffe - please do purchase that system.
Hello once more More annoying problems that have just started. a/ When I start the engine an image of the top of a car appears on the screen and I hear a ping sound. Image stays on screen for a few seconds to half a minute but it does not state why it has appeared. b/ Reversing sensor alarm stays on after being taken out of reverse. Have to drive forward or turn engine on/off a few times to stop the alarm sound. I wrote to Vauxhall asking them if the issues were covered by their warranty and where I should take my van. They wrote back giving details of a local approved dealer but did not say if problems would be repaired under guarantee. They also asked that I telephone or email them rather than write. I wrote back yesterday asking them to answer the warranty question. Also I had a bad experience with the dealership they recommended when looking to buy a van eighteen months ago. When visiting the dealership website I found a van I wanted. A conversation box appeared on pc screen when I was looking at the van, I asked questions about the van, I was happy with their answers and was told to pay £199.00p deposit to secure vehicle. Next day I called the branch to tell them I would collect the van the following day and was then told they had made a mistake. Van is not £12K, its £15 and that if I did not want to pay the extra £3K they were withdrawing from the contract and refunding my deposit. I explained that I had emails from them stating van price and how much deposit I had paid so they can not increase the price. They refunded my deposit.
Combo is the best small van I ever bought except for the aircon. My previous three vans were Fords, with them the aircon blow wonderful cold cold air all the time. The Combo aircon does not do this. I can feel the air going from cold to cool then cold again every few minutes. I asked at a Vauxhall dealer about this problem (to me) and was told it's because these vans have 'climate control' so constantly adjust the temperature to lowest setting on dial. Unfortunately for me the lowest I can turn the dial to is not low enough for me. Big disappointment on an otherwise perfect van.

Hopefully the 130hp van has a lot more power than the 100hp, I've just bought one second hand, picking up next week.

Hi Stephen. You will have to let whichever Vauxhall dealer you choose look at it to know if it is covered etc.

I think if you choose the single passenger seat, you get a manual handbrake. 👍🏾
