As a 42 year old Scotsman it really does hit home what the world lost on Nov 22 1963 Such a great great man the greatest leader the world has known. To think of what he could've done had he been allowed breaks the heart of all people to this very day
The world will know the quality of such leadership again. He has inspired me completely and totally yet I am not an American. I have listened to this speech more than 100 times and I still want to listen.
Thanks for posting. Your introduction, the images and documents and your conclusion after JFK finishing the speech, brought me to tear. We lost a great President by assassination. For 1000 days of the administration, JFK accomplishment and vision toward future were enormous. The following is a clip regarding how courteous he was. The national press picked up Frost’s prediction that the junior Senator from Massachusetts, who had not formally declared his candidacy, would be elected the next President. Less than a month later, Kennedy wrote Frost, stating: “I just want to send you a note to let you know how gratifying it was to be remembered by you on the occasion of your 85th birthday. I only regret that the intrusion of my name, probably in ways which you did not entirely intend, took away some of the attention from the man who really deserved it-Robert Frost.”
