This is a Podengo thing I'm sure. They're divas and clowns at the same time, always sneeking into the picture and bringing themselves into your attention. Just like cats! 😁
I wouldn't want a tub or shower in my bedroom, but their options were likely limited with only 33sqm/355sqft available. Otherwise the apartment and the finishes are stunning, the amount of storage area is impressive, and Mr. Fox is a rockstar.
- me either. You have to remember that it wasn't in the bedroom originally. They remodeled and put it there. At least someone isn't crawling over the other getting in and out of bed the rest of their life!
Me neither. They could actually build a frosted glass partition between the bedroom and the bathtub & shower area which allows lights through but still block the moisture & for privacy purposes.
What a lovely warm apartment! You get the feeling that the things they have are carefully and lovingly selected, and that's why they repeatedly talk about how they were careful to think about how they would be displayed. This kind of more thoughtful approach to consumption is very appealing to me. When I was living alone in my own tiny 30sqm apartment this is the kind of space I'd wished I had.
Stunning choice of colours, materials and items. The handles and travertine countertop in the kitchen are to die for. I would personally never put a tub/shower in the bedroom, but if it works for them that's great. Also, NTS please show us more balconies. You always skip them and they are such a cute part of every apartment.
@@Nyx773But you still must step out of the shower to dry off. What do you do with the damp rug...just leave it sitting there? Also, the wet towel needs somewhere to hang so it dries thoroughly. I wouldn't want a bath towel hanging in my bedroom. Maybe that's just me but it seems that for everyday living, not a photo shoot, it would be difficult to keep the place looking neat and clean.
@@namebrandmason Those have to be some very long and very hot showers/baths to make that a concern. There are 2 windows for a good cross-breeze ventilation. @Jay Carver Yes, bath rugs would get wet, but there won't be "water everywhere". A tub in the bedroom or living area (in Germany it's sometimes in the kitchen in old houses, called a "Frankfurt bath") is an absolute dream for me. ☺️ Bathing is something you do to relax in a comfortable Athmosphere, not next to the toilet brush in a tiled room with no real windows. 😄
Agree, the thought it nice. But i also want some privacy in the tub. And in the bedroom when it steams up - well I dont need that dampness on my bedding.
@@akask6458 I wonder if all these worries are because a lot of people live in places with faulty ventilation? Possibly combined with high humidity outside?

Loved how you took care of small things, especially the wooden blinds in your bedroom. I am a plant stylist and was only waiting for the part where you show your balcony (I could only get a peek in the later part of the video). Great job!
Lovely renovation. The bedroom definitely has a hotel feel to it - not sure my partner would like the shower in the bedroom as I usually wake up 2 hours before her! The toilet was a nice surprise - cool wallpaper!
Glad they found what the best for them, but the tub for me would make the room messy. I think separating the tub and bed with semi or transparent separator would still work. Merge it with shower/ other wet area.
Love, love, love this design. The bed and toilet room are spectacular. The dining and kitchen area are blended to create both a sitting gallery space and eating platform. Bravo 👏
A clean and organized room like this can somehow better that other styles that looks expensive but has inappropriate items inside. What's best is the security and tranquility the home can provide to you and your family. 🥰✨
This is lovely. Tbh I find some of the homes on this channel overly angular - like conceptual Tetris boxes with no soft edges or comfortable places to land (plywood everywhere! Hard bench seating!) This avoids that trap and looks like a truly warm and enjoyable home. Also I love the artwork & would like to know more…
What a beautiful apartment. I’d have changed a few things primarily to suit my taste (I’d eliminate the bath and put more storage there, for instance-I need a spot for the instant pot and stand mixer and… and… when they’re not in use), but that’s just me. And that shower is beautiful. The materials are stunning. Neutral but not at all bland, quite the opposite. Calming, but captivating at the same time. Whichever way you look, your eye rests on something interesting, like the kitchen pulls, the cane chairs, or the pendant. It’s soothing.
I love that's mostly exact as my home is made, so some things I want and something I don't! Firstly is GENIAL how you approaced with the bathroom but unluckly I live so near to a river(that's both amazing and horrible) so my home is so so full of humidity. I also thought to put a lift bed with downside the sofà since I want a big dining room + kitchen mostly for office use (a big dining tablet is a perfect office tablet) but it is noisy so I had put the bed I thought would have been better doing a "studio apartment alike" that is a second office in the other room who is silent. Since there's not bath I put the bath creating a smaller from the kitchen. Both rooms are 20m2. In the hallway I wanted to place the closet.
Me encanta la luz. La sala de estar, cocina y comedor es un espacio hermoso. La bañera que da a la habitación y el lavamanos a la vista no, para mí le falta intimidad y hubiera buscado otra solución pero si para los habitantes es práctico es perfecto. Gracias
For such a small space, is very well done! I would have switched the location of the bedroom with the kitchen so that you would have an easy access to the balcony and make the livable space bigger/better used.
So my first thought when I saw the view out the front was to switch the bedroom to that side and the living room to the back side of the apartment. At least you would have a view of the garden area. Love the wall paper in the bathroom.
I like their design style very much. Love the colors and pieces they chose. There was an elegant casualness to it. For me, though I liked the look of the bathroom, felt very luxurious, I wouldn't be keen on having a tub and sink in the bedroom. I don't find it practical if one person is sleeping and the other needs to get ready to go somewhere. And also, with neighbors that close it would force you to constantly having to close your blinds/curtains anytime you want to shower or take a bath. Creating a water closet was a smart choice, and I loved the bold wall paper.
Unbelievable, this looks super cozy and elegant, and bright. The kitchen is my favorite feature. The only thing I'd do instead is place the shower & tub on a separate bottom level or enclose the whole area with glass since it can get so messy with running water.
really nice apartment with a home feel..its one of the apartments that you'd like to go home to besides just to sleep in it..maybe the only thing I'll remove is the tub, the shower room is fine, but I dont think I can sleep in a room with a bathtub by my feet. .that would be like a desk of office to me.
I love the sunshine in this apartment, Also the division between living cooking eating and sleeping. The open plan area makes the apartment look quite spacious.
Every element is perfect in this space. The large windows and natural light make if feel larger than it is and extend the space beyond it's walls. It's beautiful. The bath positioning is genius !
That is such a beautiful and well designed space. I would love to live there! For me it has the right balance between being very minimalistic and having a bit of decor. Thank you for the tour!
Utterly impressed! What a stunning apartment they created in such a tiny space! Several things I'd like to point out: - the dining table and the chairs! - the paintings! So beautiful! - the kitchen handles - all those delicate vintage items - the bath tub in the bedroom ❤ - the wallpaper in the toilet!!! - and foremost: the doggo who so much reminded me of my little girl sitting next to me on the sofa right now. Podengo-love!! ❤
Upgrading older spaces doesn't reduce the need for new constructions, it's still a two person apartment. The Netherlands has a constant positive inflow of people, and is experiencing an acute housing crisis. Housing should not only be sustainable, but also available.
True but these types of upgrades will encourage more people to live in the existing spaces for longer. Having a couple live there happily (instead of just one person) is not necessarily a given
Love this parquet flooring. Would have liked to have seen more of the balcony. I personally would have put the kitchen in the space where the sofa is, with units above, so that I had a larger clear space for 'living'. I would have also been more space-efficient by not separating the WC (plus I personally dislike WCs separate from bathrooms and would never have a bath in a bedroom, but that's personal choice).
This beautiful apartment is the prove it is not all about square footage - I love the design choices the couple made. The space feels inviting and luxurious - a warm and happy place to unwind.❤
It is an excellent design and has a great usage of space. The missed opportunities are > the sofa without foldout bed or storage and the lack of overhead cupboards above the kitchen shelves. Otherwise a very beautiful bathroom design. 👏👏👏
Beautiful place. Personally I never have a bath so would use the space for something else but we are all different. As others have said I would love to see more of the balcony.
