The shower is a dream - I've always wanted a walk-in with no tub, no curtain, no doors. Big kudos. However, the stairs are a bit intimidating with no handrail. I'm afraid I'd fall the first time I came down those in the dark. Beautiful job!
I have used one in a hotel, there was water all over the bathroom floor, great concept, not practical unless you want a polished bathroom floor because you will have to mop and change the bathroom mat after each shower.
There has to be a decline so water flows down the drain. But it also depends on your shower habits - I mostly use the 🚿 so water doesn't spray everywhere + less cleaning. The staircase has the wood slats - that not only look great, but also hinder you from falling over. A handrail still might be nice but not as important.
I love that the kitchen is separate. The kitchen is the hardest room to keep looking really clean and uncluttered and it is nice not to constantly see that mess. The lighting in this space allows for the kitchen not to feel closed off.
Building off what you said, I liked how they managed to have separate, distinct spaces as that gives the inhabitant the ability to move throughout the home without feeling like they’re stuck in a singular box all day.

Seeing the size and utility of the kitchen, bathroom and dressing/storage/laundry room really impressed me. Plus many of the finishes look expensive. Really nice work by this firm.
Overall, beautifully solved. The lighting, the colours, the divisions are all great. Also, for once, indeed enough storage in living room, bedroom and kitchen. The bathroom is gorgeous. My concern is with those stairs, both in terms of stability and placement. They may be a focal feature but they seem to also be very much in the way as you enter the appartment. I would have used the study as a wardrobe instead, placing shoes, coats etc. there instead of in the upstairs dressing room. The dressing room seems much more spacious and better suited to place a desk plus it has natural lighting. The kitchen splashbacks, while beautiful, are very impractical since the mirrors will require constant cleaning. And, regarding the bedroom, I don´t see much point in those lower windows. They aren´t needed for light as the room already has natural light from the skylight, and I wouldn´t feel entirely comforable with a whole wall of breakable glass so close to the bed. I would have extended the bedroom floor across those beams and used the lowest bit of the space for additional storage.

I think most are disappointed that it features very few practical ideas for people that are really living in small space because 500ft+ for a single person is luxurious. Most people living in cramped cities have in average just less than 150ft per person, less than a third of what is featured here. The tiling and additional openings to increase light penetration is very nice though.
@J M "How is that for an idea to leave us alone?" Why? Should we treat those people like babies that should be always praised for any drawing you can make? Tiu, tiu, tiu, what a smart architect you are, designing so cleverly this small, small space, a bit bigger than my two room and separate kitchen apartment with a bathtub and much more of storage space? Wow, you put a presentation shelf for decorative objects in an archway, where noone can see them? And TV in 90 degree position to a coach? Perfect, I wouldn't think about it. And I especially like those curved, smooth stairs without railings, amazing.
I LOVE this space. Interesting that she has 2 eating spaces. As a single woman the kitchen space would work for me so I can have more seating for guests in the Living area. I also would want a bathtub. Both of these would just be personal preferences. But I love this. One of the best small spaces I've seen so far.
I thought the same thing. Maybe make the kitchen eating space into more counter space and maybe a center island, move the table to the bench area (7:36) and put another comfy chair where the table is now.
This is gorgeous, functional, warm, inviting, generous, clever, homely...it really just feels complete and without compromise. Absolutely loved seeing this.
To me, this is the best one from this channel so far. The style is interesting and stands out from other projects. It's very personal, it has character, but at the same time, it's completely unintrusive, universal, and timeless. Not to mention the practicality - there's everything one could need in an apartment. Marvelous work.
The stuy area feels like one of those tiny nightmare cubicles. It's right at the entrance, has barely any light and there isn't enough space to properly work. I personally would've prefered to turn this area into a proper coats and shoes area and instead have a little foldable table at the sofa or just work at the dining/kitchen area. The rest of the apartment is stunning though. I really love the mix of scandi and 70s with elements of the old structure. The natural light comming from the sky light into the bedroom and into the living room is a cool touch!
I personally would have moved the washer down, maybe even have room for a guest toilet, if under the stairs provides enough space and have a proper second room/office upstairs.
I'm amazed that they even had enough space for a dressing room and a washing machine. I have a 49sqm apartment in Perth, and not even I have a washing machine. It's great to be able to see an apartment in France on an Australian design channel. Thanks for showcasing excellent work from around the world, NTS!
I don't get why Western cities often cheat apartments off laundry machines. I've lived in a 20 square meter apartment in Japan, and it has a place for a washing machine.
:) I live in a 47sqm apartment, which is a pretty standard size for a 1 bedroom apartment in my country. Im surprised you cant fit in a washing machine ... ?
I always love to see these small apartments. I used to live on 20 square meters when I was 20. Shower and toilet I had to share. I had it all together in my small room. Now I have a bigger house, 160 square meters. And that comes with all kinds of responsibilities etc. And also, a lot more stuff to organise and clean up ;-)
Fully functional kitchen, a study, bedroom with natural light, bathroom with perfect lighting, seperate dressing/ laundry room. In Paris! That's like a dream come true!
I've been following this channel for awhile now, and every now and again I revisit this video because it's the best design I've seen so far. I mean, that kitchen? WOW. There have been a lot of apartments featured here that are around 530 square feet, but none of them have used the space so beautifully as this one does. From everything to the curved golden doorway into the kitchen to the partially floating staircase to the amazing bathroom, this is a really gorgeous home. Everything about it is a win for me, and if I were a single woman in her thirties, I could definitely live there.
I think this has to be the BEST apartment transformation I've ever seen in life and in all Never Too Small uploads! Not only it's all functional, it has generous sized kitchen, imagine having a study with that background too! No need to use virtual background with such view behind your study desk! Interiors and colors used are on point, it creates this warm-welcoming apartment yet it's cozy, homey and so stunning to every square inch you look! I really love the fact that they made the wooden structure be a part of the aesthetic of the apartment! LOVE this a lot ❤️
So stunning. I love parts of the original beams being showcased, the color palette of the home, and the different shaped doorways (curved on the bottom floor and then triangular shaped up in the mezzanine)
Charming and brilliant !!! Imagine ! To make a tiny house within an apartment building! To keep charm, practicality and quality together! I love historical buildings so a brick wall with a practical kitchen oh yes. You have inspired other builders to follow your example. 1000 thumbs up!!
Just exquisite. So much "space" in such a small space. For me, I would add a little storage to support the lower part of the staircase - I was a little nervous how it bounced when he walked down them.
I could see a couple live here too. 😍 Definitely my favorite space. It's everything I have always dreaming of, throw in some more books and a bathtub and I would never move 📚🛁☀️
I love this apartment the colour scheme is very cheerful. So much space for everything .When I saw the stairway it looked too flimsy to me but it works perfectly well. The only issue I thought was that if she’s walking in stockings or socks it might be slippery .I’m glad she found this architect.👏👍🇦🇺
One of the most beautiful small apartment transformations. The sizes of the rooms all make sense and are comfortable enough to actually live in. I hope the client lives in her home happily.
One of the very few apartments that I would actually love to live in. They were able to plan the storage very well and, as someone who lives in a 30 sqm apartment, that is very rare!
Oh I just love this!!! The use of color, wooden slats, arches, tiny display shelves, and so many other features are stylish and wonderful. A very, very lucky client. I am inspired to use several of these ideas
So well done - félicitations à l’architecte! This is one project where I’d love to see the floorplans/design evolution - what was disregarded design- and materials-wise, what colours were suggested, etc. It’s lovely.
those green tiles in the bathroom omg!!! the most beautiful tiles I have seen...lovely appartment, great kitchen with that cool brick wall and many practical corners!
A different person may find the office space claustrophobic, but I love the lan cafe-esque coziness. I'm inspired to make my next battlestation also as tucked in as possible after this video.
I love the functionality combined with warmth, logic, and livability. The storage created makes it clean-looking and the kitchen is a dream. My standard always is, do I want to live there? This is one of the few times I will wholeheartedly answer yes.
Exactly. Or "would I be -willing to / capable of- living there" Too often it's way too impractical, the washing machine makes sounds in the living room, there's not enough storage, shelves are too open/bare (making it hard to keep a small space tidy-looking cause irl they must be stacked to their max :D ), kitchens are sensless, too much glass everywhere (which will require nonstop maintanance), illogical lighting for nighttime or overcomplicated solutions that require complex daily tasks (like making and storing your bed, or weird access to daily items, including clothes...)
This is absolutely stunning. I usually half watch these while I'm working, but everything came to a grinding halt. Those floating stairs, the little kitchen, the tiny study with the window, the bathroom, I could go on and on. Phenomenal design, but still warm and livable. Perfection.
The style is gorgeous. Im not keen on the wall colour but can appreciate its not to my taste. The corner wall cupboard is genius .Not easily accepted is the staircase with no railing to hold as one uses the staircase. I like the study area and the window is a nice detail .the chair is rather tight in under the stairs though. I do like the storage directly part of the staircase .The kitchen is fantastic area. I like the small hob hood,(never seen one like that ) the white hob is something I hope to have in my own apartment .I like that there are no handles to mess with ones eyes in the kitchen . Overall.......I love this apartment !
This is a stunning apartment. I could move into this place and really not change a thing. In reality I'd probably change up what I put in a couple of the spaces, but the colors and the lighting and the design choices are **chef's kiss**. I work from home, so I would probably put my office where the dining table is (or flip it with the LR. Or even put it in the attic space. The table in the kitchen with the bench seating is all the dining I would need. I am in love with the staircase! I'm going to watch this all again, it's so wonderful... even the view out the window is awesome.
agree - I suspect I'd end up working on the dining table, and use the "office space" as a storage area to put work stuff in when it was time to relax. Am in love with the archway.
Absolutely! I’d have switched the office space with the laundry in the attic for larger and more quiet space, natural light. Laundry located downstairs is more natural next to wardrobe near entrance.
@@aselshilikbaeva224 The entry closet is for coats and cleaning supplies. The bulk of laundry comes from upstairs: sheets, towels, clothing. You can easily carry up a few dish towels and napkins, but carrying all the rest down and back up again is a chore.
It's cool how an architect only cares about the structural support of the building they start with. Doesn't matter how it looks, because they can transform that part to anything.
Superb layout, colours and - here I go again - finishing. Looks like they really paid attention to the details here. I'd probably have preferred no dressing room and instead a full-height ceiling in the living room just to get that sense of freedom (so that you can look down into the living room from the bedroom) but that's a personal preference - I understand other people wanting to maximize floor space. Loved this.
I actually really like what they've done here. Nothing is left out, including space for washing machine / dryer. I particularly love the arches and the storage within those. Bravo!
I love it! Finally a house with some color on the walls, it has such a warm atmosphere. I't's just the right size, there's no waste of space but nothing seems too cramped or a compromise. I really like the match of the pink furniture and green tiles in the bathroom, and the sofa. And the dressing room is really smart, having the washing machine and dryer right next to the clothes. Love it love it love it
This might be the apartment of the year. Love the colours, but it’s the use of the space that sets this apart. Everything has its own space and like the name of the channel nothing is “never too small”. Well done
FANTASTIC design choices. The shapes, colors, elements and different materials, division; all those opportunities for light and air to move around. They did a marvellous job.
love the stairs and the splashes of colour on the walls. this might be one of my favorite apartments on the channel. i hope mr. nicolas bossard can come back for another video
I'm in love.... This left me absolutely speechless! Simply breathtaking! What I also like is that the architect didn't held back on storage space for your wardrobe. I also live small, but have a ton of clothes. This space and how it is designed, is simply perfect!
Bro this is by far my favorite NeverTooSmall episode. This design is beautiful and the result is mesmerizing! I am so jealous of the French woman who owns this. You literally fit a whole house in that space. And with so much lighting. How cool! 🤩👏🏽👏🏽
Understated genius, the perfect balance of modern ingenuity and earthy roots. Beautiful job. I think most single people could live there quite comfortably.
Loved it! I see this style of perisian appartments more often (especially on Instagram by other french architects & interior designers), I am a bit confused by the lighting above the table in the living space, everything else is perfect!
The bathroom tiles are gorgeous! Warm colors are not really my cup of tea, but it works here. Only thing I would change is to bring the lights over the table down a bit more, to create a more cozy atmosphere.
If there is something I like about this appartment is the kitchen. The architect has fully compensated the measures of the kitchen with the other rooms! Impressive!
What a beautiful and functional tiny space. It looks and feels so much larger than it is. You have done a wonderful job of meeting the clients needs and wishes.
It's magical to get to sleep under a skylight. During the day it's pure light and at night it's peaceful, starry bliss. So many perfect little details in this space, what a stunner.
Lovely video! Love that apartment - very practical. Regarding the Kamikoto knives - did some research and it appears they are not Japanese. They are made in China and they do not state what steel they use to make the knives. Just a word of warning to anyone considering purchasing - please do your research!
An impressive, expensive, jewel-box design. My compliments to the professionals that customized this space. Not my personal tastes, but the work is the finest I've seen on the 'Never Too Small' channel to date.
One of my favourite small spaces on the channel, in love with what the architect did with the new floor plan and love love the staircase with the birch balustrade

It is not a small space by Paris standards, this video doesn't have the proper title.
This is gorgeous, functional, warm, inviting, generous, clever, homely...it really just feels complete and without compromise. Absolutely loved seeing this.

God if only I could move to Paris and hire this talented guy to design an appartement for me. It really is breathtaking
I love the colors. Minimal but still warm.

This is the most stunning small space I've ever seen.
To me, this is the best one from this channel so far. The style is interesting and stands out from other projects. It's very personal, it has character, but at the same time, it's completely unintrusive, universal, and timeless. Not to mention the practicality - there's everything one could need in an apartment. Marvelous work.
Great call by the client to ask for a proper kitchen! It's truly the soul of the home. I would actually love to live here
The stuy area feels like one of those tiny nightmare cubicles.
I thought this as well. I would have preferred more storage and had a convertible space instead in another area.
I personally would have moved the washer down, maybe even have room for a guest toilet, if under the stairs provides enough space and have a proper second room/office upstairs.
What an intelligent use of space! Very stylish with loads of natural light. Impressive!
I'm amazed that they even had enough space for a dressing room and a washing machine. I have a 49sqm apartment in Perth, and not even I have a washing machine. It's great to be able to see an apartment in France on an Australian design channel. Thanks for showcasing excellent work from around the world, NTS!
Wow. Where in Perth are you? Like in the CBD?
washing machine AND a dryer next to it ! C'est incroyable !
@@randommusings48 near Subiaco station :) I have a little one bedroom for $1300 a month.
The architect is simply gorgeous... I sense he has a beautiful and calm spirit...
Well done. Clean lines without sacrificing the feeling of warmth and comfort.

Love it. Beautiful and actually livable, not just a show for trendy minimalism.
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
The Architect has done an amazing job, lighting it up, making it bigger and ticking all the boxes on his client's list. Well done.
Le travail de l’architecte est incroyable. Cette impression d’espace alors que c’est tout petit c’est dingue.
One of most realistic design for small space on the channel. Good interior design
Lively and gorgeous. It looks like it smells of clementine oranges.
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
i ABSOLUTELY love the colours and little touches in this place. wow. so in love rn
Every square inch used is the most appealing thing. So smart. Love the storage.
One of my favorites in a while. It's nice to see one that doesn't need to be completely white to feel spacious.
So stunning. I love parts of the original beams being showcased, the color palette of the home, and the different shaped doorways (curved on the bottom floor and then triangular shaped up in the mezzanine)
This is my favorite apartment so far. Fantastic.
Charming and brilliant !!! Imagine ! To make a tiny house within an apartment building! To keep charm, practicality and quality together! I love historical buildings so a brick wall with a practical kitchen oh yes. You have inspired other builders to follow your example. 1000 thumbs up!!
Lovely house! The architect really tries to fulfill the client’s needs and wishes. Well done!
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
Thumbs up for the architect! This is like one of the best examples if have seen on this channel so far.
WOW.. looks so bigger than it actually is. The kitchen is gorgeous. Really nice home for Paris. Great job
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
I love this apartment the colour scheme is very cheerful. So much space for everything .When I saw the stairway it looked too flimsy to me but it works perfectly well. The only issue I thought was that if she’s walking in stockings or socks it might be slippery .I’m glad she found this architect.👏👍🇦🇺
I really love this apartment, it’s modern but warm & friendly feeling. Lots of storage for practical living. 💖
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
One of the most beautiful small apartment transformations. The sizes of the rooms all make sense and are comfortable enough to actually live in. I hope the client lives in her home happily.
The production quality on these videos are always top notch!! Good job nts!
This is one of the most brilliant and creative small space designs I've ever seen
I'm inspired to make my next battlestation also as tucked in as possible after this video.
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
This apartment is so exquisite, I definitely see myself living there, I love small spaces without feeling im in a cage.
The choosing of colors made this look classy and comfortable to live in.
This is outstanding - I've never seen such amazing use of a small space. Seems so much larger than 538 SF.
Honestly so beautiful. I'm no minimalist but if I was I'd decorate this way
It's cool how an architect only cares about the structural support of the building they start with.
Bravo!
Je suis d’accord l’appart est complètement magnifique, j’aimerais la même arche chez moi 😊
Love it love it love it
Sheer perfection. It's wonderful when you see an owner and an architect work together so seamlessly. This apartment has everything. ❤️
Beautiful. Especially with the colors.
And I'm a sucker for archways 😃
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
The use of storage integration without creating a feeling of overwhelm. And the use of dividers as storage spaces. 😉😉
This might be the apartment of the year. Love the colours, but it’s the use of the space that sets this apart. Everything has its own space and like the name of the channel nothing is “never too small”. Well done
I can totally imagine myself living in this. It is really nicely executed, with enough and sensible storage. Without compromising comfort
FANTASTIC design choices. The shapes, colors, elements and different materials, division; all those opportunities for light and air to move around. They did a marvellous job.
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
I love the colors the most, especially the archway painted in yellow! It's also used as bookshelf too, which is perfect to fill in the space 🥺
love the stairs and the splashes of colour on the walls. this might be one of my favorite apartments on the channel. i hope mr. nicolas bossard can come back for another video
I think most single people could live there quite comfortably.
utterly obsessed with this gorgeous apartment, so cosy and welcoming, definitely taking notes of inspiration
This is by far the best apartment I could ask for!
Loved it! I see this style of perisian appartments more often (especially on Instagram by other french architects & interior designers), I am a bit confused by the lighting above the table in the living space, everything else is perfect!
I was thinking the same, but looking better I think the table is extended that's why the double lightings and the bench near the windows.
Single woman in my 40s and I so want to live here. Not just the stunning space but in that neighborhood of Paris.
Impressive!
They packed a lot into such a small space. With lots of light and perfect colour tones, it's perfect 👏🏾💙
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
What a beautiful and functional tiny space. It looks and feels so much larger than it is. You have done a wonderful job of meeting the clients needs and wishes.
I love the colours! The whole appartment feels absolutely cozy and comfortable. I think this is one of my favourites of Never too small so far 😍
Excellent! I love how you gave her a separate kitchen and a bathroom on the same level as her bedroom. So vital! Bravo! 👍💃
This is quite lovely. You made a home that she might never want to leave even if 1 becomes +1. I'd like to live in a space like that some day. 😍
ua-cam.com/video/YPmR-qusfzE/v-deo.html
It's magical to get to sleep under a skylight. During the day it's pure light and at night it's peaceful, starry bliss. So many perfect little details in this space, what a stunner.
I love that the archway''s insides are paintted that darker metallic color; really cool detail. The details are soo everything here!
They did an excellent job of using every bit of space and it is gorgeous. I love the daylight throughout the apartment. It's simply stunning.
As much as the staircase is lovely. I wouldn't mind adding in a shelf for shoes perhaps and extra support since it is only made of Birch Wood
One of my favourite small spaces on the channel, in love with what the architect did with the new floor plan and love love the staircase with the birch balustrade
