Many thanks, Andrew! I think the O gauge bug has bitten. I currently model in OO/HO and G & Gauge 1. O gauge has definitely improved as far as RTR models come. For those like me who can’t build kits quite as easily because of certain difficulties, it’s great to know that there’s more options out there. I’m apart of the British Railway Modellers of Australia and just recently in the past month or so, I’ve posted several films including a massive OO gauge Western Region layout built by a local fellow member of the BRMA and its 40 x 12 feet in size, a colossal layout by far. I invite you to have a look when you have time. I’ve posted two parts already. I’ve also posted a few videos of my GWR/WR branchline, Devizes recently too!
We have a few members here in Adelaide, South Australia that are building or have built O gauge layouts of both the British and South Australian Railways prototypes. Quite interesting to say the least. Some are RTR models others are kits or built from scratch via 3D printing.
Thank you for the inspiration, Andrew. Loving these videos by far. Hope you’ve had a pleasant Christmas and New Year. Warmest regards, Caleb

Hi Caleb, Thanks for taking the time to to send such an interesting comment. I have other Australian viewers who are interested in my content. I had no idea there is a BRMA in Oz. Do you have problems sourcing UK models and kits etc. or is it a case of just having to wait for deliveries? I'll have a look at your videos as it's always good to see what other people are producing.
Is there an exhibition scene in Australia for railway modellers? Given the size of your country I take it that it would be difficult for most people to visit shows. We are fortunate here in the UK that we have a thriving club sector that produce shows nearly every week of the year.
It is such a pity that everything is shut down right now. Here's hoping the vaccination plan will relax restrictions in the not too distant future and that crowd events can resume ASAP.
Thanks for your comment I'm just about to go and watch some of your content.
      Regards
      Andrew

Beautiful layouts! The more I see O Scale, the more I like it. Somehow I can visualize myself building an O layout in the near future. ( Retiring soon = more time. That's the theory anyway! )

Hi Jim, Go for it! It is my favourite scale. Larger locos lend themselves to sound much better than the smaller scales. You could try an outdoor layout in O gauge although I'm not sure how well a layout would cope with the heat you get in Oz!

@@andygebbie I think I would be pretty safe as I live in the southern end of Sth Australia where it's cool to cold most of the year.
