Harpenden East, absolutely fantastically crafted, from the forefront to the back scene, every detail right to the scale, the colour the modeling skills, the different interesting points and the actual running of the rail traffic. Well done, I'm very envious .

Well that is a nice surprise seeing the video of my live steam LNER Q6 as well as Graham's Southern Q1. I have no recollection of you taking the video - although I do remember chatting to some kids which you can just see at the edges of the shots. Glad my 'Netta' performed well. I have always loved the the Binfield show and before that the Langley show.

Your "live steam" layout was great and very enjoyable to see. Thank you for your comments and I'm glad you managed to find the video. Here's to the next event.

Dubmill Sidings: Excellent layout. Realistic operation. Great weathering on locos, rollingstock and buildings. Traffic on bridge looks a bit too bright and shiny, especially the trucks (lorries).

Yes they could do with toning down a bit. Otherwise as you say excellent layout. Thanks.

Harpenden is a nice layout but what is the time travelling thames van doing there lol .they hadn't been designed in LNER era the thames was about 1954 I think , and as we know LNER went in 1947 48 with the BR coming in . I don't like to nit pick but when people tke such care in building correct stock and buildings and doing great scenic work and fitting sound etc , you would think they would check the small things like era of vehicles and such ...

The E494C Fordson 5 cwt van was made between 1948 and 1954, so probably too late for this layout. However the earlier E04C Fordson 5 cwt was made between 1945 and 1948 and was very similar. Don't think that the latter is made in model form in any scale.

    Did yellow Anglias actually exist?

Yes, but mainly two-tone 1200s yellow with white roof and side stripe. They were't that popular (no pun intended).
