Light rust on your discs is totally expected on commuters ride them hard put them away wet as for sticking pistons use a light coating of copper grease when you rebuild your breaks this stops crap getting in works a treat 👍
I’ve tried that before and found when I pushed the piston back in it just wipes all the grease off. Perhaps I should see if the manual says anything about periodic piston cleaning and what, if anything, to use. I’m sure when fully rebuilding a calliper they say to give the seals a light coating of brake fluid to help the pistons initial penetration🤔.
Bit of surface rust on discs is normal if left after riding in rain/muck on the commute. I get the same on my Busa. Pads sticking to the discs....ditto. Cleans up after a couple of mins on the brakes.
Light rust like yours should be fine and wear off with use, but the hole in the pipe is a definite replacement 👍
I’ll do that straight away🫡 . . . weeellllll the MoT’s not till July . . . sooooooo I’ll try and fit it in before then🤔 . . . maybe🤷♂️
Love watching your channel mate,
Why 🤷♂️ 🤣😂

👌
Remember to pump the brakes out after cleaning them as well 🤔 . . . nearly hit the floor with the back brake lever commuting the smornin 🤣
I just bought a 2-1/2-Inch Brake Rotor Hone 120 Grit Flexible Ball Stones to deglaze the brake discs!
@@banditnev Have you had the disc overheating then?
@@bikerantics5001 No it squeals a lot more when there shiney so the tool takes the shine away.
@banditnev never known it needing doing unless the disc had overheated or the bike has been sat rusting for a long while🤷♂️
@@bikerantics5001 My front disc's were so shiny you could use them as a mirror!
@banditnev 🤣👍
