- This time on the channel, I had to put a muffler on the triton!
This is a 3" Playtime turbo back exhaust fitted to a 2011 MN GLX Mitsubishi triton.
This system is a 3" dump pipe with a high flow cat & muffler

Muffler delete with 20 psi have nice flutter, KN filter gives beautiful spool. No issues what so ever with my Ute. Still have factory muffler in case of police
Yeah had that setup on the old ute and sounded good. Binned the K&N filter as they are useless and killed two MAF sensors from dirt getting through the filter. Paper filter is the best
My Colorado had a muffler delete with the exhaust pipe finishing just behind the cab when I bought it. The dealer tried to tell me that it had a tune done, not that it fooled me 🤣
While it wasn't overly noisy, it did drone a bit.
Recently I tracked down a standard rear muffler at a wreckers so I swapped it out.
Drives nice and quiet with no notable detriment to performance.
If anything, the fitting of a Safari snorkel made more of a performance improvement.
Since buying it, I've tried to make sure that there no issues that the boys in blue can defect me for and nothing to fine!
Heaps of people have it like that and beats me how they get away with it. Mine was in the factory spot out the back and got done twice for it yet there's much louder 4wds out there blowing smoke and racing around.. a snorkel does help a little. Some say it doesn't but you get slightly cooler air then under a bonnet. They'll still defect you if they want. Can't have a vehicle that's not factory without having issues nowadays

Should do the speed limit. Doing 70 in a 110kmph zone will do that..

Could you have gone the resonator or would that still have been illegal?
Not 100% sure. It'll stop it drone but would still be over the legal decibel level I reckon so it'll be illegal still. I had to go a muffler due to it being the defect and being the only way to clear it and keep it registered in NSW.
Hey mate how much did they charge for just the muffler I've got the resonator and it sounds horrid in the hills.

Yes the same car. Only fits the 131kw 4D56U as the 100kw is a different dump pipe off the turbo
So what actuall make the flutter sound full straight pipe or reso delete
3" pipe & no muffler. Doesn't do it anymore with the muffler due to having back pressure now.
@@gettindirty4x4adventure I just installed a muffler delete with stock decat so doesn’t make any flutter
@@josephjdm4877 What motor do you have? Theres a 100kw in the 2WD which won't flutter due to the turbo being diffrent and the 131kw like this which flutters. A muffler delete won't give you the sound as loud but still a little bit. I had a muffler delete on the old MN 100kw and was quiet.
@@gettindirty4x4adventure I go 2011 Mn glx 2WD , I take the stock filter out and put a bod filter on and a muffler delete so I can hear a little bit of flutter
@@josephjdm4877 Diffrent turbo in that compared to mine so won't sound the same as this no matter what you do to yours. I wouldn't put in an aftermarket filter like that. Had a K&N filter in mine and was nothing but trouble.
Sounds better with the muffler doesn't have that wet sloppy fart sound ar the start thay strait pipes do
