- I love this game, it totally destroyed my expectations for the better, some of the best cutscenes I've ever seen, fluid and fast paced flawless gameplay and movement and most of all and more importantly...it's hella fun.

I'm glad that he became Raiden's buddy. When I had the demo, I had this level and Boss fight. I like robots and wolves and hated the idea to kill him. I would have tried to adopt him.

I hear ya. I feel like this boss fight in particular did the vocal/musical cue the best in the whole game. The way the instruments disappear, the vocals kick in, then the instruments come back in, swell up, and then WOOSH--it's perfect, I tell ya.

Yeah! I gotta admit he is a pro. I was very good at this game so I could wait for the enemies and counter their strikes and look all cool. But this guy is so awesome he saves movements but he ALSO chases the enemy! 4:15
I completely forgot there was a parry mechanic in the game, and kept dying to him and the metal gear until eventually I overcame him, and then remembered there was a parry mechanic and cried at how long I spent on that fight

Dude, I reached armstrong and didn't know about it untill I got my ass handed to me so much I decided to go have fun in tutorial mode then found out I could parry..... I was dodging with side slashes all the time and wasn't sure how sometimes I could guard against attacks.... After that armstrong was a breeze and I felt new game plus was too easy and left the game lol
@@xsaihaytqr7080 yeah, you can just spam parry for the entire game, so I just stopped using it, also had no clue about the side step until I saw Oneyplays playthrough.

To me one of the deepest characters of the game. When Blade Wolf says that he have to obey the directives and have no freedom always makes me sad, but that's the best part because he has this big construction in the story and in the DLC giving him a good ending after all
It’s ingenious in a way they portray Blade Wolf as a parallel to Raiden, they were both raised to fight against their will. It wasn’t until they encountered someone who fought for their own cause that they would be truly free, As Snake freed Raiden just as Raiden would do for Blade Wolf.
1:38 Kick ass soundtrack begins, the incredible OST really carried this game and made it so enjoyable
I can't even begin to conceive there are people who dislikes this game.
It is simply amazing. And a refreshing change to the style of the other titles of the same franchise.

1:41 I feel like that after Raiden called Wolf a pawn, Wolf slams his chainsaw to the ground and drags it around him due to feeling frustration as he explains to Raiden what happens if he doesn't follow his orders, so it shows that Wolf fears that he will lose his memory even at the end of the fight he says "Stop!", but we must keep in mind that he does not fear death, so he's more afraid of losing his memory, that's my theory.
(Old comment but I don't care). It should be noted that this isn't the first time he was destroyed. He still retained his memory after being defeated by Sam. Wolf also states that disobeying a direct order will lead to his memory being wiped, nothing about failure (which has occurred once before). I think Wolf actually does feel physical pain in some way, despite saying he doesn't.

This fight is the reason why I really liked the parrying system in this game, it's very satisfying. Also I love Bladewolf, he's adorable.

I played that demo as well! It's what got me to buy the game because I just loved how fun the demo was and how KICKASS the music was as well.

Hey MrNosec,i doubt you will reply to this but i just started playing MGR agin after 6 almost 7 years and i will say despite other games arguably eclipsing it within that time it still hold up mechanically and surprisingly for the most part graphically,it might just be nostalgia that makes me continue to enjoy this game? I wonder do you think this game still hols up today or not?
I think it holds up just as much or even more than Bayonetta and Vanquish, not because of the graphics or epic story or anything like that, but the mechanics are as solid as can be while keeping it simple, and it's very compact fun there's no "boring" parts almost, and the scripted OST changing segments when as the boss fights change stages is amazing it's like you're playing a music video of a badass anime. I replayed this game over and over for 100 hours and got all achievements, surely they did something right

Anyone besides me think this was the best fight if the game despite being the second boss the build up, "banter" fight (despite being a enemy gauntlet for 2 phases)", music,fact it puts the games mechanics to great use will really build this up as a great fight

Dude, playing this demo (since the xbox 360 demo of MGR was this mission) on console was a real lesson on why to use parry on most games.
