I know it's all fun and games to rag on some the animation choices that NRS makes, but this version of Kenshi has to be one of the most stylish, well animated MK characters ever. Every single movement looks so buttery smooth... Couple that with the sound design for his katana and I can already tell whoever was in charge of putting his gameplay together is incredibly talented.

I really don't think any criticism is honestly warranted for MK1. Everything I've seen looks really natural. I mean, MK11 was fine. Totally understand 9 and X hate tho
Because there is a lot of improvement, people just like to spout the same thing without previously checking, so far I've only seen two questionable animations but there's no awkward low kicks as of now, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero and Kenshi's animations are on point, sure it's far from the best animated game specially from the fighting genre but they come a long way to distance themselves from the animation of MKX.

When I first saw this version of Johnny I was apprehensive with no green energy and I thought he looked small but seeing him in action I love it. Not to mention that one lady screaming out “Finish ME Johnny”
I havent played mortal kombat since it was MK3 and I know I suck at anything PVP (fighting game, FPS). But I’ve been enjoying MK content creators so much lately that I just want to say thanks. Shoutout to Super, Ninja, Rewind, and you of course for making my work week a little better. Thanks
I picked up kenshi in the beta pretty easily surprisingly cuz he’s my first puppet character I’ve ever played by day 3 I was feeling comfortable with him can’t wait to play everybody else on the roster 🔥
I never even liked kenshi in the previous games, but he is easily my new favorite character they made him so freaking cool in this game I can't believe it

Kenshi is so beautiful to look at and satisfying to learn to play, I think the most complete character in mk1. I really can't wait for the things that can be discovered in training mode. I just wish they would give him a speed or strings buff, it seems kind of silly to me that they nerfed his strings when the biggest problem in the first beta was his damage, he was pretty balanced because of his difficulty curve and because the character archetype works that way.
I don't think they should give him a buff, I think they should have just left him alone until after release. Seems every character on the roster is insanely good so i think the nerf was a bit premature but Kenshi is still beautiful to look at like you said lol.

Ninja himself stated that his cage is better than Liu and Ninjakilla's Liu gave sonic a run for his money unlike rewind who is struggling to win a round much less a match against sonic. These two are not the same tier rewind is elite tier while sonic and ninjakilla are legendary hence why ninja 3-0 him at evo

That said, I hope NRS speed up Kenshi's Sento stance switch a bit so he won't be too much of a sitting duck when Sento's time is up. At this point, Kenshi looks kompletely fuqed when he's still in the Sento stance and Sento is gone.

My only complaint would be the sound effect of hitting meat or something squishy when hitting your opponent sometimes.
I agree but i dont think this is true for all characters. Kitana looks type clunky. But johnny cage runs hella smooth in this game.
