Been to most of these except Maldives, Marshall Islands, and Tuvalu. Malta is one of my favorites, the history, beautiful clear sea and the food. Surprised Nauru isn't on the list, its smaller than the others except Monaco and Vatican City.

Malta's two official languages are English and Maltese ( Malti)- the former from Malta being a Commonwealth nation and former British colony. The latter has the distinction of being largely Arabic in origin due to Malta having occupied by Arabs from 870 to 1091 AD though it uses Roman letters (with a few extra letters thrown in) so it's considered the only Semitic language to be written in Roman rather than a Semitic script.

Very cool and very interesting! Did not know all of that, such a cool backstory with the mix of Arabic and Roman influence! Thanks for sharing it!!

@@10FunThings Your welcome! Malta has had a rather fascinating history including having large temples built before the Great Pyramid but then having the land abruptly depopulated c. 2500 BC for reasons still unclear. More recently, in World War II, the people of Malta held out against the NAZIs and Italian Fascists to became a vital stepping stone in the Allied recapture of Italy, etc. and, for their bravery, the entire population was awarded a George Cross by the British king George VI! That's just a tiny couple of highlights.!
