I can fly my drone straight or rake straight, not both. Well done!
Thank you. There are a couple times I have to set the drone controller down and just focus on the tractor
NIce to see your son out there with you while you were tedding hay. Hope he will have an interest in farming as he grows up.
So far he has been pretty interested. I've been giving him little jobs to do around the farm and he has done good at them
Everybody loves good hay for sure, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
I've barely been able to get my lawn dry enough to mow. Glad you got a big enough weather window to get some hay put up.
Ahhh.. can almost smell the hay from here.. 😅 loving seeing the hay work and im thinking youll be happier round baling more of it than squares 😁.. stay safe 🏴
Great Video Mike, the Kuhn Baler makes a beautiful bale, thanks for sharing
Nice Mike. I love hay videos. And that little spot up on the hill that you cut and baled would make a beautiful spot for a house. Pretty country up in your neck of the woods. Take care bud👍
Thanks Kevin. Maybe someday when I'm old and looking to retire I can build one up there and sit up there and look down on the farm like the grinch looking down at all the whos in whoville!
Great video Mike… love the smell of hay.. they look like good solid bales. Be some nasty storms later today..
It IS the season we were fortunate to get 2500 small squares in the mow between the rains. We still have about 12 feet of haylage in the silo to try to get empty. It was kind of neat to see your 4555 featured on Big Tractor Power cutting. I recognized that right away. Best wishes getting it all done with minimal rain.
When did you see his 4555 on big tractor power, I think you’re talking the wrong tractor.
0:28 @@carterblann2290 just today. It was included with the 4555 profile. Jason did with the corn planting in Indiana. There was a clip with the front wheel assist cutting hay. Jason said that where he got that example from. It's at 4:51. On that video.
Thanks Anthony. It was really cool that Jason used that clip. When he talked to me about I was excited to see the 4555 on his channel
Hey MikeP 7810 I just got done cutting and tedding 4 fields of hay today and we are supposed to have rain on Saturday
@@mikep7810 I got it all baled up and I got it off the fields today on Friday
At least they are round bales, not square. When you have to deal with the square bales it means you get the farmer's sauna experience!
Who planted the trees ans that kind are they just wonder firld looks great and tractors did great job
Thank you David. I'm not sure what the company's name was that planted the trees. I think they were out of Virginia. They are a mix, mostly maple
FIRST! 😂 Always love your videos, and you were smart to get the new hay equipment. We haven't been able to make much hay without wash and rinse yet.🙄👎💦
@@mikep7810 I shall! Now I will wonder what new upgrades are in store! You get a bigger cutter, then need a bigger tedder, then you want a bigger rake, and maybe a second baler, or a "no touch" for square bales, and then... 🤣👍
years ago i used a Grimm tedder one row ground driven was slow but did the job
Hey mike, thanks for the great video, hay looks great thank you for farming and providing wonderful videos god blesss you and your whole family
Thank you Jeff. I appreciate it. Thanks for taking time and watching the videos
I can smell it from here. That’s the only good part about hay 😂
They did smell good. The best part of them is that they are round bales so I stack them with the wheel loader!
Good morning how are you doing Mike
@codymccauly349 oh I see. You asked if I got my hair done. We got this field of hay done but still have a lot more
hi Mike did ever look or research any other bail loaders.john deere has to.i like bailing hay.no seeding or discing here ohio yet been to wet why they won't go around the mud is mystery.ok later mike I'm watching enjoying videos to thanks..
Haven't really looked too much into loaders. Hopefully things dry up for you in Ohio
Haven’t seen the 29 for a while, is dad still planting with it ? Cool video as always
Thank you Todd. The 2940 is still on the corn planter. The corn is all planted but my dad just has to plant the last variety of his sweet corn
Why did you grab the hay before you started raking? They have in cab moisture monitors now. Just have to make sure the Bluetooth works, and the cord isn’t too long
Haha I was grabbing some of the hay wondering what it was. Then I remembered what I was in the field for
Mike you tedding the same day u cut er the day after?...this is my 1st full yr w/ a tedder! Thanks
I mowed one day, tedded the hay the next day, then raked/baled on the 3rd day
Are going away from square bales in the future with your new setup?
Not fully. We have so many left over square bales from last year so the plan now is to round bale 1st cutting and square bale 2nd cutting and straw
Why did you guys plant trees there in the middle of your hay field?
We planted the trees on a steep hill that we were tired of working. We planted a lot of sugar maple so My son can do maple syrup someday
@@mikep7810 Ohh ok.. I’m out here in Iowa and well we don’t plant trees I guess.. They seem to grow like crazy out here in all the fence rows and everything.. But that makes sense on the steep part! Thanks for getting back to me!
When are you going to let your son start run the trackter
He does some small jobs but I think he'll be doing jobs with the tractor soon
can't view you anymore yt blocked you out
Not sure what the problem is. I asked someone and they said they can view the channel fine
Mike, this vid brings back SO many memories! My dad with well worn machinery, and me with fairly new equipment! Thank you, stay safe!
Thanks Gene. Glad it brought back good memories
