    I kinda felt bad for Nathan with everyone asking about the 4A when he's never said that's a main goal of his, and has struggled with his triple axel in the past. This video did really higlight the great sportmanship between Nathan and Yuzuru, I think they're both amazing role models.

      @@atreyeesardar319 his last two ankle injuries were pretty bad: first he got on NHK 2017 and didn’t skate again until Olympic game 2018, even there he was still injured and skipped WC after; and the second was year later when he basically just heeled the first one - on Rostelecom Cup 2018 and again I believe he skipped whole season until WC 2019

      What boggles me is that fans don't accept that there're pros and cons for every skater. They're not perfect, otherwise there would be nothing more to improve. This type of sportsmanship wasn’t always a part of the sport. The toxic rivalries between Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan and between Plushenko and Yagudin are infamous. Honestly, I think the way Yuzuru has always been so friendly and supportive of his opponents in the sport has inspired many who look up to him to behave similarly.

    • @moma-b
      @moma-b 2 роки тому +1

      @@johannakerbl4566 I think we (Yuzu fans) are a little biased. Yuzu has such a perfect body figure for ice dancing. He has the grace of a ballet dancer on ice. Nathan is very good, but different. He will _never_ be able to pull out a performance like Notte Stellata. He would never put on a costume like that either. So whenever Yuzu's fandom does that comparison it is always biased and at the same time it's like a comparison of something sweet with something salty, while we actually like both as they are.😊

    Honestly Yuzuru is in the best position to do the 4A, since he already achieved it all. Nathan Chen and the other figure skaters have not fulfilled their dreams, winning the Olympics, but Yuzuru is already past that. Since 4A is a risky jump, it could probably ruin the other skater’s chances in winning the Olympics. It would still be great if Yuzu one another Olympic, however he really wants to do the 4A. He’s already at his peak and truthfully it will come a time that he will eventually retire.I believe that Yuzuru accomplishing the 4A would be a lesson to everyone that even if they are old, especially how you see the skaters peaking at a younger age, they could still accomplish great things.

If he doesn't make 4A a big deal, he wouldn't strive for it and end up losing interest for the sport all together. He's had a grand slam. There's nothing else to desire for except 4A, that no one has done on competition before.

      @@divinearia1601 Yuzu has practically no need for a medal right now, he’s won 2 olympic and 2 wc and has achieved super slam so I think with a person like him who is kind of a perfectionist (?), he needs to set a goal to break into next or else there won’t be a challenge anymore. His mindset when he was a kid and up until now has always been, if it’s hard, then it’s fun. He himself said that he was never a champ, he is a challenger and maybe when there’s no challenge anymore, he’ll search for it. He also is a smart dude, coaches from different countries, long jump athletes, gymnasts, and professors have reached out to him with a study on the physics of his jump and have openly supported his journey to conquering human body limitations. Right now, 4A is the only thing to conquer so that’s his target. He wanted to break beyond the limits of the sport so that others will follow possibly with a quint.

I hope Hanyu takes care not to hurt himself permanently because it does not seem worth the risk to injury. I think Nathan is not as intent on landing that jump first and realistically Nathan sounds like the 2021-22 season will be his last before he retires and finished his university degree. Thing is, it pains me to say this, but... I don't think Yuzuru will land it. I don't think Nathan will either, obviously. I think this is for the next generation of kids who will be inspired by Yuzu's quest for it. I would love, love to be proven wrong. And please do not get _me_ wrong, Yuzu is my fave skater of all time, the previous one was Evgenij.

    • @bb__v2452
      @bb__v2452 3 роки тому +7

      Yeah I truly think the skater must be trained at a very young age to rotate enough rotations and land it due to the size and weight of the body. But with this low bv noone even bothers to try. Yuzu is the only crazy one because he already won in every competition

    • @milkntomatoes9418
      @milkntomatoes9418 3 роки тому +3

      Whether he ever lands it successfully or not, I just really hope he takes care of himself and prioritizes the health of his legs (particularly his ankles). If he wants to keep skating competitively until he's 30+, he needs to be showing those gold-winning ankles love (and I know he is, but those landings look really painful and hard on the body)

      Well good news, he is closer than ever has been in the history of landing the quad axel. He landed the 4A two footed during Japan nationals during december so yea I think that there is a chance that we might see it.

      Do you mean 3.5A by 4 rotations off ice? It will give the forward landing which is not ratified I think, since all the landings are backward. Maybe I’m wrong

    And Chan is Always saying "No I won't do 4A" but was caught on Cam practising it..eeew, thats Bad Attitude...
    And No, I don't hate him, but There is something what Yuzu has, that Nathan has not: First, While Yuzu seems to talk from the bottom of his heart about Skating(and everything Else), Nathan has this typical Sports Interview attitude, He is talking like he was trained to say this and that , and 2. there is no "awefactor " .Wether in Aura nor in his programs. He certainly has amazing ice skills, but he does it for the points , the scoring , He packed his programs with Quads to win, No feeling in the stepSqs. .Yuzu wants to win too, but everyone can See He literally is living ice Skating.Its His PASSION, and everybody can see it.
