Hi Vlad! I don't know where to write this, so I just do it here. I had the great pleasure to meet you twice. Both times were in Zurich and I wanted to share the fond memories I have. The first time was in 2001 for Korchnoi's 70th birthday's tournament, which you won, beating Garry in the final in what is to this day the most impressive combination I have ever seen live. I think I'm still a bit under the shock of Bxa6!? (objectively not best, but what a beauty) 23 years later. I remember that after the game Peter Svidler was like a little happy kid, just as amazed as I was, while discussing the variations in russian with you. I had bought a book of Korchnoi's best games on that day, and I asked you to sign it, while congratulating you on that fantastic game. You seemed surprised I asked you for an autograph in that book, but my exemplary of the book with your games was back home, 2 hours away, and to me there was some logic to make you sign Korchnoi's book: you had just won his tournament! For the record: I have his signature in that
    book, too😊.
The second time was in 2009 it was for the 200 years Jubilee of the Zurich chess club. I had the great pleasure to play against you in a simul. It was en English Hedgehog, and let's just say that the best player won😉😄. I did appreciate that you took the time to explain where I went wrong after I resigned.
Even though you've been living in my country, we haven't met since. But those 2 meetings have a special place in my heart.❤

So when you say that a persons play is “interesting” or unusual you don’t mean that he’s cheating, you mean that that type of play should qualify for “checking into”. Is that correct?
    That’s very understandable.
It seems like this point is the misunderstanding. You’re not really accusing of cheating you’re simply saying that there be a standard for “checking into” just as a protocol to create safety.
(I happen to disagree with your understanding of the Hikaru run, imo it’s very reasonable and understandable for him to have those results and I also understand and agree with the chess com evaluation, it makes sense to me. I’m not trying to fight or argue with you personally, I’m simply sharing my view)

'Mouse skills can only add no more than 5%-10% to your performance' - well, for a 2600 ELO Grandmaster, 10% is 260 ELO, and that's huge. Even if it's the lower of the two figures, then a OTB 2600 ELO player will play like a top 20 competitor - making his presence among the top scorers in Titled Tuesdays perfectly normal and to be expected.

I didn't get what does it proof? Guy plays the tournament, not as good as he could, but his opponents do blunders. And he see blunders and win. There are no any incredible unclear tactics, just some luck. This video proof that nobody cheating on it, no? And this is also the example that in real life such chain of impossible blunders is possible enough. And this also show that even GMs can do stupid mistakes. So it is ok when somebody can show incredible performance and then show very weak games. With all rspect to Vladimir, I didn't understand his point in this video.

Only viable solution seems to me is to have everyone play with two cameras one showing their face and one from their back showing their screens. It will not be foolproof but could make things a bit more difficult. Also cheating does not necessarily mean the actual cheater needs to personally win money in the tournament. Top player A could team up with another less known player in the same tournament so he discretely cheats against a couple of other top players except their partner increasing the first players odds (even draw them not necessarily win). The cheater can even finish last in this scenario and nobody will even care but top player A (who plays normally and is undetectable) will have an advantage. Things can get pretty complicated and probably already are since money are on the line.

you should check about how they get this 3100 rated nicks. you are only checking tournaments games, but in "casual "games you can found the key. another important thing, you analised streaks, lets say won 45 games in row. have you even try to play 45 games in row to some oponent??, if you try you will see this is not posibel, there is no mather of won draw or lost 45 games, you cant play. from every 1 move you oponent are calculeted. your level, your teorical level and if you can be danger for his elo, normalways when you won 1 game. your oponent block you and you will never have any chanse to continued "farming" so we can clearly understand when 2 players rematch and remach 50 times, this is not casual chess. finally you are wrong when you think, guy will no push if the have no price chanses, do you thinks players not care about elo?? 3000 players get 4 o 5 free rounds 2500 player get 1 free round. this difereence is becouse of elo. you have not so big luck in the games becouse, your elo is 100 or 200 points lower, so you oponentes are way stronger, this is no a "luck" @@VBKramnik

Best way to justify cheating ia by saying that online and offline blitz are different while they are not much different. Best way to check Overperformance is to compare the results with the last blitz World Championships and then the overperforming players should be strictly monitored.
Ps. In india there is a rule that anybody who scores more than 96 percent marks in a subject his paper is checked again it is not yo accuse somebody of unfair practices but just a precaution that is taken so taking such precautions in chess will also be a good idea.

Kids are using AI helping tools regularly in school now, some teachers coping with the new reality. So per analogy, perhaps having explicit Cheaters Tournaments (where helping tools are allowed) is a way to counter the temptation and save chess as we know it. Also, players who are caught are not cheaters, they are idiots. I would think that real cheaters vary their approach thus making them undetectable. Since cheating is a drug, they will always find ways.

Like Kramnik said he wouldn't mind someone coming to his house to film him in his room while playing. ITs not unprecedented in the online gaming world. it goes back 25 years to the days of Quake. Its what online poker, the only popular online game, thats not even an e-sport, also does. Erik Allebest promised to do it. Chess24 did it hikaru in 2021 i remember. nothing wrong with that. I also didn't like how chesscom handled this. Just for perspective, I have been defensive of Jospem especially in his recent match with Ian, but 1 day good or bad doesn't prove anything one way or another. I agree with that fully. You have to do something like this over a period of time and without all the pr stuff, so that conditions are as normal as possible for the player who is being tested and then afterwards you just make your conclusion and publish results. But hopefully they were just doing this as initial "noise" to show they are taking action and will continue normally afterwards and monitor. That will be best case scenario. But if they just end after this, that will be a bad way to go about this.
