With Pakistan acquiring 25 J-10C to counter Rafales, the discussion related to its capabilities has heated up. We have recently made a detailed video on comparison between the J-10C and Rafales. I today’s discussion we will be comparing J-10C with India’s upcoming indigenous fighter jet Tejas MK2.Overall Tejas Mk2 will have advantage of better electronics and avionics than J-10c as its segway for all 5th gen technology. The use of extensive composite materials and RAM has added the stealth characteristics as well. The versatile weapon package further makes the fighter much lethal. J-10C being developed much early will have to do lot of catch with the upcoming India’s 4.5th generation fighter.

US Air Force should consider importing Tejas to replace F16V. ❤❤❤❤❤
That's true. No kidding! Because Lockheed will soon phased out F16 completely, but at times US may need such jets of this generation. And when they look around, hey, India is a democratic partner to US and can offer help always!
Hoping Philippines soon we'll acquired 2 to 3 squadrons of Hal Tejas MK 2 mach 1.8 MRF.
Tejas Mk1A will also have a big BVR advantage over the F16, Gripen, J10C and JF17. The Tejas Mk1A has an RCS of 0.5m2 due to radar absorbent composite structure and it will have an Uttam GaN Aesa radar in late models which is better than Chinese radar technology and matches the latest Gripen E and F16 radars.
Astra-1 is only 100 kms tail chase mode... Head-on just 30 kms ranges... Derby-I is 50 kms range in tail chase mode... So, dont have too much hopes on Tejas BVR capability. SU30MKI with R27ER can reach almost 150 kms and its radar also supports the ranges...

Eurofighter typhoon has same delta wing and canards configuration. Does typhoon has a scraped design...?? How many Tejas MK 2’s have we built 0 ( ZERO ) - when will we build the first Tejas Mk 2 - i have no idea - till then how many more J 10 C’s, D’s and E’s would the Chinese have built - 100, 200, 300 . Your guess is as good as mine. But this is one race that we will never win. Can we not use our mig 21’s , 27’s jaguars , Mirage yes we can but these jets are over 50 years old and our enemies will have brand new generation 4 + + fighter jets

It would be great if it happens but not sure how it's going to fair. For starters Canard is exposed and the inlet which is the same as Tejas Mk1, 1A has some issues. Secondly prototypes will be ready by this year end or next year start at best. So taxi trials, flight trials, weapon integration ew suite, RWR, MAWS, Targetting pod etc are zillion things that are more time consuming to test. Third let's assume that everything falls in timeline, Tejas MK1A has to complete the production first only then the Tejas Mk2 will start production. But Tejas MK1A can enter production only when Tejas Mk1 is fully produced which is almost done. So let's assume 83 Tejas MK1A are ready to produced from 2023. And considering HAL's speed it's 12 aircrafts per year at best so 7 years meaning 2030 and then we have TEJAS Mk2, TEDBF, AMCA, SUPER SUKHOI and am wondering when will we complete all. And by that time Tejas Mk2 might loose it's relavance so does MK1A or AMCA for the matter of fact we'll end up buying foreign aircrafts again. So unless you have figured out the engine, subsystem manufacturing and an effective local supply chain we can only boast about small fleet of Indegenous fighters but can't scale up

All sounds good for Tejas MK2, but even the prototype is not ready yet and the extended delays from HAL is even worrying! Whatever we call the Chinese made but the fact is they made it, while we were busy mocking them.
The purpose I'm watching the video is bcz pakistan is acquiring j10ns so pakistan will have this jet in around 3 to 4 years so it will be directly face on with our tejas mk 2 so this is only the game of timeline

.2m² for Tejas Mk2 would be very impressive! I believe both the Rafale and the Tejas Mk1a are approximately .5m², even though both are much smaller than the Mk2.

Thrust vectoring has advantage and disadvantages. It will increase maneuvering but reduces the fighter speed. Totally depends on pilots skill

First,0.2 square meter is just a little worse than Su 57, no idea the reason you are so confident. Second you need real world RCS measurement to confirm the plane's performance, since the plane has not taken its maiden flight, numbers are not authentic.Third, the logic that simply assume a smaller plane has lower RCS is ridiculous. According to the current model, there are three weakness. 1, inlet.2,vertically mounted radar.3,no cover up of the canard's root, exposing its shaft.

Fundamental error, J-10B with PESA radar did not take its maiden flight before 2009,during 2005s J10A series entered service.

J10C- TWR 1.08 ; rate of climb 60,000 feet per minute will fuccc the happiness out of MK2 @zz soon!! Only TEDBF, AMCA and MIG29UPG can tangle with TVC nozzle J10C/CE.....
Again ground reality is Tejas Mk2 might loose interst with AMCA and TEDBF highly required in the race so unless ADA and HAL figures out a way to speed up production or set up multiple separate plants for different fighter jet projects manufacturing, Indegenous development is a very distant reality. A potential fighter will look great in Air rather than in paper. Again comparing Tejas Mk2 with any fighter is analysing dream with reality. Though China is an adversary we have to admit that the J-10C packs a punch in their fleet. It might not be as good as Rafales but assume when 100s of J10c lines up against Rafale. It's a matter of quantity which in itself is a quality. You can argue the recent purchase of S400 the threat is mitigated but it's not again quantity of Chinese fighters available outweighs much of the advantage that we have. We have to level up soon before it's too late

Well I very much support India... Reality is MK2 is still on paper's, knowing HAL crediablity, even in next 10 years we will not have any MK2 operational... We are also struggling with numbers with MK1 Tejas varient... Where as J10c is fully operational & Chinese has all infrastructure to produce these with the numbers they need, now that even Pakistan is getting this fighter, this will definitely challenge India !!!

HAL still needs to deliver 10 more FOC Tejas after it took 3 years to deliver just 6 aircraft, the MK1A is still on the drawing board,, and you are discussing the Tejas MK2 features. A bit stupid since there will be no Tejas MK2 in service until after 2030. While there are over 500 J10s in service.

Tejas Mk1As arw being delivered parallely with the Mk1. Tejas Mk2 atleast 1 out of 3 prototypes are out and being tested.
And 500 J10Cs are not coming for India. 26 of Pakistan are. China has lot of airspace to defend. They need far more than 500 to do that.

HAL is producing 24 jets per year. They'll be finishing the MK1 orders soon enough and they don't want any delays for the MK1a. So they'll get at it parallely.

HAL has completed a total of 22 Tejas aircraft since 2012, it is 2022 now, so you do the math on how many Tejas HAL produces a year. HINT: The answer is not 24/year.
According to HAL official timelines, they will deliver the last MK1 twin seater in 2024.
I suggest ypu go learn facts about this incredibly mismanaged program before building your castles in the sky.
tejas cannot even be compared to JF17 block 2, let alone block 3 and J10C the later being one of the best 4.5++ generations fighters in the world, even Americans fear it.
