Thanks for not editing out the struggles with the sheet goods. Honestly it was a little scary to watch. I got a track saw, game changer for cutting full size sheets of plywood and MDF, more accurate, faster, and safer than the table saw.

That hand placement without looking at 8:58 had me terrified, saw stop or not! But that whole situation was extremely relatable. I find the blade guard and pawls help hold the wood down close to the blade.

A couple of tips that I picked up. First was to notch for the top stretcher. Second is using precut shims to get spacing. third is to make the drawers and doors overhang so that you can make one final cut. Thank you for sharing.

I sometimes dream of making my own vanity so that I can build in all sorts of great organizing things:
A tilt-out side, or maybe a pullout door, that has the plunger and toilet brush, so they’re inside the vanity but easily accessible. Or maybe a tilt-out side that holds the toilet paper, so you can change the roll without getting up.
Drawers that maximize accessibility to the bottom shelf of the vanity.
A tilt-out in front of the sink to hold the rubber plug and maybe some other things.

Nice carcass. Seriously, it does look great. Getting that clean look is not easy and you killed it. Drawer slide screwing montage editing was on point, as was the plywood wrangling. Fun fact: the director and writer of Napoleon Dynamite, Jared Hess, is from my hometown. Thanks for sharing!

The struggle is real with woodworking. Having to keep a 3D simulation constantly running in your mind and accounting for all the edits, changes, and mistakes along the way is a good mental exercise - constant problem solving. Then you have to be sure not to f*ck it up when applying the finish. What a great hobby!
