For some reason when I tried restoring my utility belt buzz a while back the regular collection buzz arms didn't work on it! So I had to swap the shells and it took AGES. Mad respect for doing this and managing to not majorly screw up

I watch these types of videos because I want to get into stuff like this in the future, and you're honestly a great inspiration. I mean you tackle at some hard stuff like modeling, sculpting, even electronics! I can never do stuff like that lmao, but seriously, keep up the great work.

I was quite proud of you that you included that panic moment of opening a project up and seeing a confusion of wires, it catches us all off guard once n a while.

I have the unity belt buzz, original Woody, Jesse and Bulls Eye toys in my loft. I played with them a lot, and they’ve got a lot of wear and tear. One day I’ll restore them, when I have enough courage and knowledge that means I won’t ruin them.
Oh and I also have the original Disney store Mike and Sully Plushies in a pretty good condition…I don’t really have much to say about them, I just like the idea of having them and I’m proud of how child me took care of them…mostly. My dad and me used to joke around about poking Mike in the eye, which makes me think of them fondly :).

The repaint of his head sculpt is almost like painting an actual CGI Buzz Lightyear, and I'm very impressed and in awe!
This custom Buzz’s head is how the Signature Collection Buzz should’ve looked to begin with. I don’t know why Thinkway gave him visible eyelids when he never had his eyelids showing in toy mode.

Actually, the eyelids do show in the toy mode in the first 2 movies, they changed in the later two movies.

It wasn't a standard biege from the bottle. I mixed a little biege with yellow and red to get this, so you might have to fix your own.

Amazing as always 👏 you impress me every time
if you don’t mind a few suggestions, I saw you sculpted an alternative Buzz head on your channel banner, there’s actually a thing that a lot of people are doing called a “magnetic head swap” where you can swap head sculpts via magnets, say if you want the original angry face from the movie sometime you can swap it out with ease.
Also if you’re extra you can do an arm mod, where you just cut off that black ring entirely and put a painted black DIY ornament thing on the shoulder joint, like how buzz’s arm always worked in the movies that thinkway for some reason couldn’t do 🤦♂️ It allows for the arms to have a better range of motion while also being more accurate.
Thank you! Yeah I have seen those amazing mods and will be attempting them with Regular Buzz. Thinkway should have done it but it's fine, more things for me to do!
That’s awesome. So the new green paint does not glow in dark? Forward to see more mod on the arms move down, laser arm rotating, hand joint, laser pointer, rubber black piece and including grappling hook, removing a red magnetic off like seen in the movie.

Heat gets rid of stickers easily so you can use a hairdryer to get off stickers without it ripping apart
Are the thumbs to your custom screen accurate replicas pf the Buzz Lightyear action figures, posable?
You can resolder wires that got torn off from the pcb, just scratch some.of the green paint that follows the circuit and resolder there, save some bucks and time
I have a doubt, i have a previus version of this buzz, it seems to be the same mold and figure, except this one has all the screws exposed, so it's easier, what I would like to know are the standard measurements for the stickers, since I want to make my own but I don't know what the measurements could be, anyway thank you to make this awesome videos and give me inspiration to do something with old figures
They are both by Thinkway so the sizes should be the same. They just covered the screws up for their Toy Story Collection line, while the cheaper editions are all exposed. The stickers should be the same as well.

What kind of paint did you use for the cheeks and lips?
Both acrylic paints, but very thinned out, applied over several layers until you achieve the shade you are looking for.

Do you have any advice for fixing a broken side helmet because my Buzz Lightyears has this issue?
It’s because of that, it no longer makes its intended audio phrase when the helmet is closed.
