My retroid 3 stopped working yesterday after 5 days of use. It wont turn on. And it seems they dont offer a guarantee. And i dont know if they are eager to reply to my issue....
There definitely some OLED quilitys with this screen as you can tell with the colours on the side by side Comparison, But it's not promoted as one, apparently its the same screen as the I phone 8 I've been told
I wouldn't have bought my RP2+ had I known that the RP3 was sitting in a warehouse waiting for a fix. I would have far preferred the 16:9 screen of the RP3 as it would be great for the PSP titles I want to play and having black bars on the sides of 4:3 games is nicer to me than having them on the top and bottom of a 16:9 image. Really nice presentation and voice over. Let down a little by the occasional spelling and grammatical error in the on screen information.
Ahh was it that's my dyslexia come out there, but hopefully no one struggles what its trying to say, I'll have to triple check the vid before uploading next time. Thanks
@@rightspritegaming I bought it within 6 hour of being uploaded for sale with like 9 other people who liked the item. Didn't think twice and bought it on the spot. Thanks for your videos comparison.
The fingerprints and smudges were the one thing that really bugged me about the 2+. But for some reason only the black one has that very smooth texture to it. The retro and 16bit versions have a more firm texture and don't seem to smudge as much, unless the white color is just better at hiding it.
i think the dpad should be at the top. its more suited for control schemes in that configuration. There arent many dual stick games that even work on rp3, whereas every dpad game works. n64 has a single joystick
Get the rp3 only if you want a bigger screen and two analog instead of the slider Other than that rp2+ is smaller , more portable , cheaper and provide the same performance also the 4:3 screen is better for retro gaming
Had I known the RP3 was sitting in a warehouse waiting for a fix I would not have bought a RP2+. Putting any other issues aside that's simply because I prefer black bars on the sides of a 4:3 image rather than on the top and bottom of a 16:9 one. The RP2+ has the power to play my favourite PSP games but the screen simply doesn't make it an enjoyable experience.
As stated in the video the emulation is basically the same experience but the extra ram creates a better android experience, aswell as screen space and ratio for those windscreens hacks and platforms
Thanks for this comparison. I was in-between the Retroid Pocket 2S and 3+ but think I will go 3+. Even if I think GBA will look better on the 2S. Must. Not. Get. Both 😅 Think the 3+ would be better for me. More versatile 😊

How did it go? Did you hear back from Retroid?
@@sca8217 yes. After some time they colected the handdlehand and sent me a new one. This one has not give me any issue so far
Just bought the pocket 3 with the 3gb of ram. I do a lot of cloud gaming as well as retro gaming so the bigger screen benefits me
Where are you getting the 2+ for £88? It's been £150+ for months now
It’s probably not a OLED screen on RP3 but a higher quality LED screen.

@@rightspritegaming if it's an iPhone 8 screen like everyone is saying, it's just LCD
@@rightspritegaming it's a backlit IPS LCD screen, not an OLED.

Oh yeah, my rp2 and rp2+ just sit in a box now, forever.
Never even touched either of them

Just bought a Retro pocket 2+ for $60 online the other day. I love it more everyday.
I'm binging heavy on PS1 games right now
That's cheap

Great video. What front end are you using at the end of the video?
That would be a customer theme for the front end called dig

Yup not worth the upgrade, I'm waiting for something more substantial.

more portable lololo no RP3 is better for that as well
@@voteDC you sound like a TAKI RP3 HATER
@@VSMOKE1 Ok idiot
can you use it vertically for arcade games ? This would make the 16.9 screen extra useful
Yes, Retro Game Corps plays arcade games in Tate mode in his review, look it up : ua-cam.com/video/05k0409SQpQ/v-deo.html
Yeah through display setting and button config adjust of a core this can be done.
So in terms of performance, it only differs in bootup time? Wished there were game performance comparisons included.

Rp3 looks good

@@rightspritegamingcan you tell me what hand held console has mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate?

Good man with some good tastes in games
why is everyone talking from 100$.. you pay 45$ dhl shipping cost and 50$ customs on top
What country are you in? I paid only $15 shipping, and no other taxes.
So far GPD WIN 4 will be good and better
You could buy almost 10 of these for that price what are you even talking about
They shoulda made a 6gram version for 149 😂
Yeah 6.gb would be great but that processor does need some extra ghz to get better emulation performance so it will then take advantage of it then
You can't spell delivery.

and several hundred dollars more expensive than this lol
