  • Student Doctor Dominic Maiuro- "Cadaveric Exploration of the Relationship between Posterior Arthroscopic Shoulder Portals and the Axillary Nerve".
    Student Doctor Maiuro (My-euro) attends COM 2025 at the Joplin campus, and is from Kansas City, Missouri. SD Maiuro graduated from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin in 2019 with a bachelor's in biology. Before attending KCU, he was a medical aid and caretaker of the intellectually disabled at Easy Living in Joplin. This past summer SD Maiuro joined the foundation of STEMM where he and the team traveled to Tanzania for two weeks as part of a medical mission trip. There they helped over a thousand men, woman and children with varying degrees of illness and/or injuries. In Tanzania, his passion for philanthropy was ignited and has changed his career goals for the better. This last year SD Maiuro was selected and served as an Anatomy Fellow on the Joplin Campus where he taught and worked on research projects. This month, SD Maiuro was awarded first place prize for his research at the Spring Conference for the Amercian Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Some of his hobbies include playing golf, cooking, and hiking.
