Great video . Just don't see a full time NFL team in London , people want to see the big teams come across and this will sell out but a permanent new franchise I don't see taking off . In the UK football is king
i work there the atmosphere is amazing what ever events are going on. The match today was a blast to work at.
I'm sure it was. London definitely deserves a team.
I was working there today too
Awesome.
If it ever becomes world wide we calling it NFL . Idk what about it is foot 🦶 ball ⚽️ . It would be best though if Americans just go ahead and keep it to themselves though.
London is literally the centre of the world. We have a similar culture and language, with the US It makes sense to have American sports franchises located here. It's a gaureenteed winner. There's millions of American visitors and expats to the UK. it's gaureenteed income. .
The pic at 1:39 is Daniel Levy. Not Joe Lewis.
Oof. Good catch.
@@stadiumsafari good job on the the video apart from that one mistake , great information and very interesting 👍
Thank you.
Enjoy this Sunday game. I hope that I live long enough to see a World NFL League.
I hope you do. It is a possibility.
Fuck that
Hi Methuselah :)
According to The Bible, he lived for 969 years. You will have to beat that for that to happen, my friend.
Would be rather called WFL then...
Btw when you said lewis you showed a picture of daniel levy.
Right. That was a typo on my end.😂
Having games in London gives North American fans an early morning game on Sunday to watch too, which is a win for the NFL and TV coverage providers.
Very valid statement.
@@stadiumsafari I’d love to go to a game in London. It would be like Manchester United playing in the USA for a game or 2 per year. Fans in North America would be so jazzed and excited about it and the atmosphere would be electric. Tottenham stadium looks amazing!
The only thing is... If an NFL team was set up in England, would the NFL be called the IFL?
I guess for branding purposes, the NFL would stay the NFL.
@@stadiumsafari Very true.
If London gets an NFL team, America should get a Premier League club.
I'm next to Leyton Orton and West ham
Mate can I use this video as reference for my class work essay
Sure. Also tell your classmates to subscribe to the channel as well.
@@stadiumsafari Thanks man great video a lot of information for my research 👊🏼
Lovely Video, My Friend HOWEVER...................LOL
Playing 2 novelty games a year is one thing but the average attendance for the London NFL team in the European NFL League some years ago was FIVE THOUSAND in a Capital with 8 Million people and the Franchise got moved and the league folded. I HONESTLY don't think there is any appetite for a regular team in London in a Football(soccer) mad City where the Sport is a Religion and the fans fanatical, many travelling all over the Country. I have attended Sport in London since 1962, a mere 59 years ago and am stating categorically that while 2 games a year is good , a franchised team is not and I have never heard a conversation about NFL football for more than a few seconds.
There’s only 8 NFL home games per season.
They sold out 4 games a couple years ago in London.
What makes you think 8 is too much?
NFL Europe was different because it wasn’t the best players or teams in the sport. So no one cared.
it would only be 7 games a year at home in a regular season. they could easily sell out 7 games a year.
I’ve done a video on the London games, if you could check it out that would be awesome 🙌🏻 great video btw
Though the NFL is popular to at least 30% of British population, I don't see the NFL permanently placing a team there. I think they'll continue to play one or two games a season in the UK, but I think that is as far as it will go. And I agree the market in London, could sustain an NFL team, but UE Football (soccer), is by far more popular by 100%.
Indeed. There are still some gray areas in trying to put a team in London.
@@stadiumsafari Looking at different UA-cam videos, the NFL seems to be popular as a sport. And they seem to sell out, or close too selling out the games. Agree with "grey" areas, and only time will tell. The NFL did just sign on too another 10 yrs to NFL London, as well as looking at Germany. Great Video You did 🏈👊RESPECT👊🏈
The nfl is not popular for 30% of the UK. Its currently a minority sport and receives little media coverage. This messy change in 10 years but not in 2021.
@@sidsnot6952 I wasn't sure the exact percent to NFL London, but knew the percentage was low. I personally think because of time & travel, to include monies, it's not worth it. Hopefully within this new 10 yr agreement, both sides will realize that it isn't & will figure away out of the contract. We'll keep American 🏈 Football in the U.S. where its most popular.
Pre-pandemic, 4 NFL games were played in London. I expect they’ll go back to 4 games per year in 2022.
So,how did Tottenham pay for the stadium?Did their millionaire owner get the local council to pay it for through taxes?Did Tottenham try to blackmail the local authorities into paying for a new ground by saying they would leave London?Maybe, did Tottenham largely have to fund the building work themselves and have to spend further money on the surronding area before obtaining permission to rebuild? It flabbergasts me when I see cities in the US building new stadiums for their billionaire owners.Oh,Spurs doesn't have 3 million fans in the UK or 180 million fans world wide, those are fantasy marketing numbers.
spurs paid for it as far as I'm aware.
U derserve more subs
Thank you. I really appreciate that. Growing steadily with each video. You can help by sharing my channel with others. I would really appreciate it.
We don't really like "Razzamatazz" and hate stoppages so the prospect of a Stop/Stop/Start/Stop//Huddle/Time Out/Start Sport will never appeal and then add to that the ridiculous "Over to your local sponsor DURING games?????" and the real heresy that West Ham moved just 7 miles away with the same name and yet that caused outrage and one team DID move 60 miles away and became the most hated team in the league. Fans would rather burn down the Stadium than change from Indianapolis Colts to Baltimore Colts or Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas Raiders. THAT CAN NEVER HAPPEN HERE....lol
