If I could would like your input on something I did today. I switched my PCV setup from the catch can to the Teraflex CVS Setup. Watch my video: ua-cam.com/video/weQMXwEaol4/v-deo.html and also watch Teraflex video on the product: ua-cam.com/video/JGYRrARHRsQ/v-deo.html. And please let me know what you think!
That's what I said. I've seen the videos and write ups but I was still on the fence about whether there were any truth to them. Until I saw it for myself on my own vehicle.
Seems like a good thing to have...especially with that amount in only 2k.. Now...not sure if they make that for the Diesels or not... (Nor where the heck I'd even put it... it's packed in there.)
Yea. It is cramped in there. I had to modify the bracket just to get it in that spot. Even though I had seen all of the reviews, I didn't think there would be anything in there until I opened it up.
@@GoChangeYaLife Yeah, the diesel engine leaves even less space in there. LOL. I gotta cram my Derringer Tuner in there.... soon... Keep up the videos! (I'll keep watching for sure.)

when it's running, do you notice either hose collapsing due to vacuum? I've installed mine, but my hose kept collapsing so I disconnected it because I didn't want to mess anything up. I'm using the same hose from AutoZone. thoughts from anyone?
@@GoChangeYaLife thanks for getting back with me. i was looking on amazon and am considering getting something that might have a thicker sidewall. it's just weird I'm doing the same thing everyone else "seems" to be doing on the different channels, except my hose is collapsing. thanks again.
@@jasonwatson8855 It's no problem my friend. I'm just an average guy that's here to help and learn with the community. But, yes that is weird. There shouldn't be enough vacuum to collapse a hose. I do know that the PCV hose shouldn't be the rubber hose because of the vacuum. That rubber hose is like a straw in a milkshake. Lol. And also check to make sure there is nothing clogging the hose. Maybe remove it and blow through it.
How codes the pcv valve come off. I’m trying to clean it and get get it out? Do you twist it towards driver or passenger? I don’t think there are bolts
Hello. I'm just now seeing comments from a month ago that I didn't respond to. I know you most likely have your catch can installed by now. But, I just want to apologize for not responding sooner. Hope all is well.

@@josorzo11 That's up to you if you decide to out it back. Although I wouldn't. Even though I know the oil in the engine is dirty as well, I just have something against putting dirty oil back in. In my opinion, I would just keep checking it and fill with fresh oil as it gets low.
@@josorzo11 No. don't put the used oil back into the engine. Your PCV valve regulates crankcase pressure, but in that process, oil can get back in your engine through the intake. At that point, your pistons have to burn oil as well as fuel. Oil is for lubrication. The catch can filters that oil and keeps it from entering the engine back through the intake and the engine having to burn fuel and oil. You should be checking your oil levels frequently anyway. So, add if necessary with fresh oil. But, even though with normal operation without the catch can, the oil goes back into the engine, I wouldn't put the used oil back into the engine. I keep fresh oil and add whenever my oil levels seem low.
Always appreciate your honesty and straightforward approach. Time to get mine mounted
I really appreciate this video I have the can just been lagging it to install my jt has 2200 miles so I think I will wait no more
Yes. Do that install. Especially if you already have the part. It's not that hard. Once you start looking at what it captures, it might shock you.
Smart mod. I did that first to my jk soon as I got it. Best thing for jeep motors. Stick a piece of steel wool in the can. Just something I did
Yea. I figured after all of the reviews, there had to be a positive to it. Hmmm.... Steel wool?

Seems like a great idea to me. All that oil would've been put back through the intake, over the valves then out your exhaust plugging the cats.

Great Video. 👍🏽
Been putting it off. I should probably do this if I want things to last over 100k
I actually switched over to a new setup today. Teraflex Crankcase vent system. I'm going to run it for a few weeks and see how it does.

No. I never noticed or had that issue. That's weird. Do you think the hose that you were using may have a thin sidewall that may make a difference?

Noticed my can get full after 5k miles or less question is , do you add oil back in the jeep ??
I did. I keep an extra quart of oil after changes anyway.
