Holy time skip!
They didnt do to great of a job showing it but the first season takes place on floor 2 of the tower known as the floor of tests. This season is starting on floor 20. In the manwah they show a but more on how it takes months or even years to climb a single floor.

You probably have forgotten from the first season but the Jahad princesses aren't his actual children; they are like adopted girls who are originally members of the 10 great families and have received Jahad's blood, thus gaining a portion of his power. They have to follow a set of rules or else they will be killed like Anak's mom (season 1).
They are taken from anywhere, not just from the 10 families, though being from one of the families gives you an obvious advantage. Endrosi isn't from one of the 10 families.

@@Akrymir before she became a princess of Jahad, Endorsi was adopted into a family branch of one of the Ten Great Families by killing her competition (shown in a flashback in season 1).
@@twocylinder6964 the original Anak Jahad was Anak's mom (they both have the same name) and an ex-Jahad princess. Anak's mom was also probably adopted into one of the 10 families before becoming a Jahad princess.

In case anyone doesn't remember. The princesses are not actually Jahad's daughters, they are chosen from the 10 great families to be princesses (in some cases they are chosen outside of them because of their talent, like Endorsi, or there are also some fake ones like Anak). This position entails being his "daughters" since they receive his power through a special procedure. Basically, all the princesses are adopted daughters of the Jahad family.

I think the Princesses of Jahad are actually not his daughters. He adopts worthy candidates into his family through rigorous exams and whatnot.
Yeah, Jahad adopts them. They mentioned in season 1 it’s become a political game. Getting a member of your family chosen as princess and adopted into the royal family gives your own family prestige, power and influence.
And they get his blood transfused for powerboost

A little bit of info that i think its important to understanding the structure of the tower and also why 20th floor is pretty important:
There are 135 confirmed floors in the tower and each floor has the size of north and south america combined. Btw this only refers to the outer tower (ofc the outer tower is biggest part of a floor, but the middle area has a decent size as well). Couple of interestings facts as well, the outer area is the residential area of usually most people, only the more powerfull individuals/families, rankers and regulars, who passed the 20th floor test and become e-rank regulars, can reside and freely enter/leave the middle area. Before the 20th floor, aka "The needle hole to heaven" , regulars sleep in dormitories in the inner tower and are not allowed to retake tests, on 20th floor and onwards, they can do so but have to pay an exorbitant amount of points/money, thats why a lot of them choose to settle on this floor(they mostly still have a way better lifestyle compared to the outside). The outer area of each floor varies massively from one another, different cultures, environments, religions, everything you can imagine to the point that there are even certain groups, tribes, kingdoms and countries(not sure if there exist countries) that dont even know of the existence of the tower. The middle area and inner tower are mostly the same since they are inhabited by a lot of regulars and rankers.

Taking 4 years to animate 13 episodes is insane. I don't even remember what the hell happened in season 1 and this was one, if not THE most anticipated manhwa adaptation in that package that Crunchyroll purchased the rights for.
It's going to be atleast 24 episodes divided into 2 cours. Plus there has been a studio change so they didn't start animating this season right after season 1. Took them a long while afterwards.

They skipped the bit that made it clear, but the reason the cheap bombs worked on Baam is that they were chemical explosives, and not shinsoo (the tower's magic system) based. In the webtoon he first threw a bunch of shinsoo bombs at Baam which did nothing, then lamented that he only had cheap normal bombs left.

Little recap about princesses. Most of the princesses are not related to each other. Princesses are females with exceptional talent, because of this they are injected with a small amount of Jahad's (the king) blood. The king cant have children due to his blood being too strong.

Not spoilers but here is some things to note. (If spoilers let me know I’ll delete/edit the comment)
1. The actual source material gives the full name of the characters in this case the princess with blue hair we saw in the beginning is called mascheny khun jahad ( related to the khun we know)
2. The prince of jahad we saw mention showed wagnan whom has a ring with the same ensign that the weapons given to the princess have ( black march in season 1)
3. The cameras that Sheera mention are a bunch of lighthouses that were showed ( to see how crazy that is khun had one or two)

I will tell you how Jahad looks like. He is a dude with yellow hair and red bandage with three eyes (his symbol) covering his eyes. So he is kinda like Gojo always covering his eyes.

Hopefully this season ends up being actually good. To many instances of "meet character, 5 mins later character does something and we're supposed to care" happening last season. So far though it's starting a lot stronger.
Crazy how all these fodder ass bluds are all hanging around in the 20th floor while the entirety of S1 were a bunch of gods trying to get past the 2nd floor.
The powercreep is crazy.
To be fair they were giving specifically a really hard test, and all the bluds arnt actually that weak they just seem that way because everyone else is stronger.
Also remember wangnam could beat your ass in real life, the only reason he's weak is because 'average' has a very different definition in the tower especially the higher you go.
Season one cast was a special group, your seeing a group of normal regulars within this episode.

Fun fact, the reason Baam got injured by those bombs is actually because of how cheap and low quality they are. Baam is super resistant to shinsu but he's physically weak, if those were some quality shinsu bombs he would've just shrugged it off
