      Right on, 22' Outdoors was dope, Ryan came back made it even better. He's a grinder, fun to watch. Wife seems real cunty. Maybe "Boss" will allow him racing 23' Outdoors?

    Yes, it was super cool having Dungey back for a season. I still have a signed Oakley poster of RD5 and the 450 Makita Suzuki on my apartment living room wall. I had it framed 7 years ago and even though Im 61 years old I keep it up there as a reminder of that kid who's teacher told him to forget it....he would never make it as a professional motocross/supercross rider. Also for how much enjoyment I got out of watching him build up a nice set of stats and records year after year. Fan for life!

    The way I see it, RD doing the outdoor this past season, being a constant threat for the lead, not getting hurt, promoting KTM and motocross while being a class act all the while may have been the greatest achievement in his career. Bravo!

    A man we could all aspire to be. Blue collar values inside a champion. Through out his career he quietly went to work, like so many fathers do every day. Not enough recognition focused on that aspect. Props!

The sport needs stars like you in it because it makes everything so much better. i’m happy for your family life and I’m happy that you’re at peace with your decision. I think you needed one more go at it so that you could be at peace 100% with moving onto the next chapter. I hope to see you around the sport in some kind of capacity.

    All the respect in the world to the choices Dung made to have the opportunity to focus on his family, when and while he could; equally respect to Lindsey for the years of sacrifice she put in for him to go as long as they did but it still is super sad/easily clear to see that he’d be going and arguably still winning for X amount of years more, if she was on board. But there is definitely some tension there lol.

    I get the impression Ryan is an intensely focused person. Not just that, he seems to enjoy the intensity it isn't just the means to a goal. It must be very hard to go back to normal life after living at such a high intensity. I hope he can gently retrain his brain to enjoy normal-ish life. His races were some of the most intense and exhilarating races I have ever seen. Simply because he was relentless. Even if another guy occasionally had more pace, Ryan would never slip and never buckle. Races with him against either Tomac, Roczen, or Marv would be neck and neck lap after lap.

    Guarantee he's going to look back at this and wish he'd have stuck around for another year.. Clearly, moto is his passion, and as a man we need that "balance" of doing the things that we love outside of daily life.. Some people play golf, others race cars & dirtbikes, and blah, blah blah you get! I just really wish his wife was more supportive and encouraging toward his passions, rather than her expectations! Cheers.

    I feel terribly Sorry for Ryan the pressure from , his wife and children ,the responsibilities. I am saying that in a meaningfull understanding way from wife and from Ryan. I believe now it weighed heavily on his riding, it wasn't alowing him to ride like him free. Because anything being said ,what a true soldier when not the fastest he go through and won. I am a little saddened i feel now ? he would have done better without lifes responsibilities all be it a wonderfull family

    Many racers are doing quite well with families with wives that support and encourage them. Hell, my wife supports and encourages me in whatever I do. Too bad Ryan's wife isn't like that. He's still to young to just quit and play Mr. Mom. You can still see his eyes light up when he talks about racing, and then see her eyes cutting into him like a knife. Too bad. Ryan will always be ranked among my all time favorites.

    • @adam_allday9470
      @adam_allday9470 2 роки тому

      C’mon, you can’t say his wife isn’t supportive of him. I’m sure she made sacrifices over the years and during his peak. I mean, to have someone be loyal and follow you around the country and sometimes internationally, year after year, sounds pretty supportive. We all wonder what could’ve been if he didn’t retire so early, but instead we should be grateful for the years and this bonus year that we were able to watch RD5.
